Sugarfire Smoke House

Looking at their reviews - I think this place is paying for reviews. There are many low ⭐️⭐️reviews and the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️reviews all read the same. Over 3 days in St Louis, I ate at: * Salt + Smoke (Delmar Blvd) * Pappy’s Smokehouse * Sugarfire Smokehouse Downtown St. Louis is rough - the staff was friendly, but the surroundings have seen better days. And they were out of ribs and salmon. My colleague got burnt ends - they were tough. Sausage was cheese + jalapeño, it was okay, not great. Brisket was watery and portions were small. The line was out the door at 5 pm - even with ‘no ribs’ posted clearly. They sell out no matter what - this is definitely a tourist draw more than a quality of food draw. Nice to see the old school service on a tray and to have bottled beer options, but not worth a trip. Of the 3 I tried this is the only one I would not go back to. They have gluten free gf options and good sauces.

Amazing food! Had the 3 meat combo (brisket, smoked salmon, and smoked turkey) with sweet yams and egg salad. Meats are all gluten free, and so were the selected sides. Tons of tasty sauces to add to the meats, but the meats were flavorful enough to stand by themselves. The adult shakes were great as well.
