Sweetwater Tavern

High ceilings and Southwest decor make Sweetwater Tavern a compelling restaurant. Great sandwiches and sides served by an attentive team of wait staff. They have their own beer on tap. The owners understand the needs of customers who have Celiac disease and offer gluten-free menu without being asked. Worth experiencing!

They have a gluten free menu that they automatically bring to the table and the server immediately asked if there were any food allergies. They were very educated on my celiac disease and made me feel very comfortable. The food was delicious!

We were visiting from out of town. This is a great place for someone with gluten sensitivities. They provide a separate menu for gluten sensitivities and ask if it is an allergy when you order. They ask if you would like bread for the table. My friend and I ate here twice because she has gluten sensitivities, and they made it easy for her. She loved her gf pasta and her burger. I had the crab cakes and a burger. While the burger price may seem a high, it was REALLY good. I'm not sure if they hand form their patties but it seemed like they did. I got mine bun-less so I don't know what the bun was like. My friend enjoyed her gf bun. The crab cakes were tasty as where the fries that came with it. I normally don't like shoe string fries because they are usually cold when you get them. These were piping hot and SO good! The coleslaw is a mayo base but with different ingredients than I am used to. I'd love to know what is in it but I know I saw/tasted cabbage, parsley and pickle. It was VERY good as well.
