The Raven Room

The Raven Room is an intimate space with booths, high tables, small tables, and bar seating. We ordered mostly vegan dishes to share: Muhammara – a Syrian spiced sumac roasted red pepper and walnut dip with toasted pita, Beetroot Orange & Fennel Salad, Korean BBQ Jackfruit Bao Buns, and Rhubarb & Apple Crumble. This is the first time we tried a hummus type dip with sumac spice and pomegranate – it was very enjoyable. The beetroot salad was delightful and we really enjoyed the beetroot sauce around the dish as well. I am inspired enough to try and replicate it. The bao buns were delightfully vegan. When we were asked for feedback, we were honest and mentioned that everything was enjoyable except the rhubarb & apple crumble. We were quite surprise that we received a 50% goodwill discount for not being 100% happy with that dessert. We found the menu very creative. The big plates are mainly meat and fish items with the except of a vegan and gluten Coconut + Lemongrass Curry. The side menu consists of several vegan items such as hand-cut fries, charred broccolini, maple glazed baby carrots, and sautéed green beans + kale. I wish we can enjoy this menu closer to home!

We’ve been coming here for years because they have an amazing gluten free selection. The Thai chicken and the lamb are among the best dishes in Whistler. This is a cool cocktail bar that happens to have incredible food.
