Maybe it was the time of day, maybe my bar is lower because I am gluten free…but I loved it! I went around 2 on a weekday and was impressed by the ambiance, service, quality of beverage options and best of all…gluten free chicken and waffles?!!! Never have I ever. Unnecessarily pricey AF…but imo so is everything in DC, regardless of quality/quantify…so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Father’s Day Brunch. Packed, but expected this at brunch time. Came for the chicken and waffles and was not disappointed. I ordered the “regular”, but my wife got gluten free and subbed the crème brûlée waffles (which had a crème brûlée filling). Son ordered a skillet with Mac & cheese, chicken, eggs, and a biscuit - he didn’t finish it. All tasted great and would come back. Priced typical for the neighborhood, so don’t be surprised with $30-$40 for an entree. Would definitely come back to try something else.

It's good, very heavy, southern. The place is really about the fried chicken which is awesome. However, they recently raised prices to a ridiculous level. Minimum $20 cocktails, apps, and the desserts are all $18. The fried chicken is $36 and is the cheapest entree. I'm sorry, but $18 for a slice of pie is out of control. It's nice, but it's still a fried chicken place. Love the gluten-free options, hate that our party of 4 had 2 apps, 3 cocktails, 4 entrees, and 1 dessert total, and it was nearly $500.
