I was there an hour 40mins ago and bought brownie cheesecake slice and a Mince & Cheese pie which they heated up from cold for me, made today apparently. Together they cost me $17.50!! There are no prices displayed so if you're going here expecting to be satisfied on a typical NZ bakery budget then think again, the gluten free premium is rife here. Do note the lack of stars on this review reflects only on the pie of which I'm disappointed, I am half way through the pie now and I still haven't tasted the filling. For what I'm guessing is a $9 pie it's not up to par compared to much better pies in the Wellington region that are cheaper and packed to the brim with filling. Speaking of which I've gotten to the filling at last and it tastes great but still no sign of cheese. Upon finishing the pie now my conclusion is there's less than 1 teaspoon of cheese in this pie. Sorry guys but my experience of a most basic pie is lacklustre. Unlikely this review will directly affect your high rating but pie wanters should know what to expect.

First time here today and I'm blown away by the food and service. 10/10 for the Gluten free, Dairy free variety of food they have. Nice, cosy and tucked away slightly outside of Havelock city center. I never felt so good after having so much food!! Must visit specially for the gf,DF, v options and a variety of fig products!

As a coeliac and lactose intolerant person I was happy to find a place that was able to safely cater for breakfast and lunch! I didn’t love my breakfast, but I LOVED the chicken Vietnamese salad I had for lunch. Like it was the best lunch I had in my New Zealand travels. They are coeliac aware and take extra care with gluten free meals. Nice staff members and pleasant atmosphere. Enjoyed my coffee too!

So, so happy to have discovered the cozy corner cafe. We're not locals but will definitely be coming back anytime we're in Taupo. This place is a gem and a rare find! Most cafes offer gluten-free, vegan etc as one or two options on their menu as an added consideration for those with dietary requirements. This place caters to virtually every dietary requirement as the basis of their menu, whilst still offering what you'd expect from any cafe. The food is delicious, as well as great coffee. Super highly recommended! I wish there were more cafes around like this

Absolutely love this cafe. I'm celiac and they have their own cabinet just for gulten free item's. They have tongs just for gulten free item's. The Hot Chocolate are gulten free. Mocca is gulten free first time I had a mocca I could literally enjoy. No zing or burn no reaction. Warm kind staff. Environment very Cosy. Easy to hear conversations. They truly understand people who are allergic.

My boyfriend & I had a lovely dining experience here recently. Our waitress Hannah was so attentive to our dietary restrictions (Coeliac) and it was clear she genuinely cared. The same goes for the talented chefs in the kitchen, who were super patient and understanding and took the Coeliacs/gluten allergy very seriously. Finally a Cafe that caters for allergies! Specifically for me, most of the menu could be catered as gluten free and I wasn't disappointed. The menu was varied, not just the normal Cafe staples which was so refreshing and the staff were lovely. A lovely lunch on my last day in New Zealand. What a debacle! Just a couple of snacky ski bums craving a tasty gluten free tender meal after a cracking on the maunga. We love chicken, so this seemed like the perfect choice. It was not. When you think of a chicken tender you think of golden, juicy, tasty, crispy... But how wrong we were to rely on the website photos. What we received was an unseasoned, insipid, whiter than the snow tender with really no redeeming features. For an outfit that specialises in chicken, this was exceptionally bad. Only plus side to this whole shamozzle was the chips. Thank goodness Briscoes and Woolworths are close by to grab the other couple of necessities on this trip. We're not angry, we're just disappointed. Protip: Woolworths is just down the road. Grab yourself a packet of Waitoa gluten free burger fillets and some Makakihi Fries and you'll be waaaaay happier than us. Edit: old mate Owner is (again) saying it was a kids meal... Absolutely wasn't! ...not sure how long they can keep hiding behind that. Poor form to be honest. Get down to countdown - 3x the food, 10x the taste for less pesos

Always an absolute party to visit for my coeliac daughter. The staff are very well trained on how to handle a request for coeliac ice cream. They make fantastic gluten free cones, and will specifically go out the back to grab a brand new tub of ice cream with a new scoop. My coeliac daughter turned 7 today and we took her tonight like we do sometimes. I’m so happy that she can feel completely like every other person here with a huge range of flavours available. Her favourite is ambrosia. The staff is always friendly too. If anyone is looking for a great gluten free dessert look no further!

Great coffee. Sat outside in the sun. We had a hashbrown stack with added halloumi, and a big brekkie with gluten free bread. Fuelled us for our hike later that day. It was delicious and highly recommend.

What a gem tucked away in Cambridge. I was so impressed with their menu. Offering gluten free, vegan, keto and sulphite free options. When you have food intolerances, it's awesome to find such a cafe that thoughtfully states clearly potential food allergens on their menu.
