My aunt and I both have celiac and a dairy allergy. We shared a burger on a gluten free bun with fries. The staff is FANTASTIC! Very knowledgeable, extremely helpful, all while being extraordinarily friendly. Often it feels like our food issues are an imposition when we eat out, but not here! The gluten free bun is also dairy free. It does look more like an English muffin than a bun, but in my opinion that’s great because there is absolutely no mistaking their regular bun for their gluten free bun, and it tasted great too. It was recommended that we have the burger cooked medium rare, so we tried it that way. For both of us it was a little less cooked than we would ordinarily choose, and I think next time we will go with medium well just because of our own weirdness about the way we prefer our ground beef cooked. That said, even still, the burger was excellent and the fries were fantastic! Often we go to places with safe options for our dietary issues, and it’s clear that our husbands would not feel like the food was hearty enough. This place has thick hearty burgers that would satisfy the biggest carnivore. We will definitely be back, next time with our gluten and dairy consuming husbands! They have gluten free and they have vegan options, but they don't inherently have dishes that are both. The good was good and fresh.

Amazing gluten free brioche French toast!😍😍 their iced chia tea latte was also amazing! My bf had an iced French toast latte and it was sooooo good! It was super busy when we went in but the service but fantastic! Need to come back.

Great place. Edie was a great server. Knew gluten free. Loved the paintings in the walls. All staff was nice. Good experience... Will be back when in the area. Gluten free not makes on the menu but lots of options. Food very good.

To say that I am disappointed is an understatement... We have been coming to Tinderbox Kitchen since 2011 and have been dining there every time we are in Flagstaff. We drive almost 3 hours. We made a reservation a month ago to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we were called by the owner, Nick, the day before to let us know they had a private event going on and we would need to either cancel our reservation OR they could see us at their sister location, Teatro, at the same time as the original reservation. I am gluten free... I do not normally eat Italian, but, Nick said, "You will be well taken care of" so we decided to try it out. We did a little research on Teatro and they are known for their superior service and wine knowledge which we were excited about. Our experience was average. The hostess asked if it was our anniversary and we said "Yes". Our server was fine but at no time provided any guidance on wine, any info on the food, basically average. The food was fine, I could only pick from half of the menu and they were accommodating with a pasta substitution so I could eat. The manager never approached our table, even though he was wandering around, to say anything about our issue with Tinderbox. When we received the bill, there was no acknowledgment of our inconvenience or any kind of compensation. Now, I am not expecting our meal to be free, but I was thinking a dessert? Appetizer? Something to say, "Hey, thanks for staying with our group of restaurants and spending $250 on food that wasn't your first or second choice on a pretty important night." Had the manager even just said anything, a thank you, Happy Anniversary, anything, we would not be so upset.. I just thought THAT Place Projects would be a little more professional and upscale. We had a very enjoyable meal here at lunchtime. Excellent quality food and service. In particular, 2 of our party are gluten free which can often mean limited options. Not here, and they said the buns were the best they had eaten.

We were very disappointed in how rude they were when asked about gluten free options. We viewed the menu online which a few foods looked promising as options but none were listed as GF. I called to ask if they have any gluten free dishes or a gluten free menu, and was rushed off and told to look on the website. After getting back on the website and not seeing anything, I emailed them and got a snooty response that the menu lists the components. I responded that yes it does list the major components but does not mention GF or list ingredients, so we cannot know if safe without staff input. I again asked if they have any gluten free options and they never responded.

Standard Denny's With the standard menu. Coffee good but weak. Omelets excellent, but again no gluten free English muffins. That was one of the reasons I went there when on the road. They were better than the traditional English muffins. Will instead be going to a local chain called Eggstacy with gluten free muffins and gluten free pancakes
