The food is great, but the customer service was terrible. I honestly don’t understand why others claim the service is good.
When my mom tried to order ramen with gluten-free noodles, the guy behind the counter asked, “Is she really gluten-free?” I responded, “Yes, she has a sensitivity to gluten.” He then tried to outsmart us when she asked if she could order ramen and simply swap the wheat noodles for gluten-free ones. He said something along the lines of, “Well, I can’t guarantee the broth is gluten-free, because everything has gluten in it.” He came across as incredibly ignorant and rude. I couldn’t believe it.
First of all, gluten intolerance exists on a spectrum. The severity of symptoms varies from person to person. My mother should not have to explain or prove that she has a health condition — it’s none of their business. Their only responsibility is to prepare and serve food based on what they offer on the menu. If they only serve gluten-free noodles to customers with severe gluten sensitivity, that should be clearly stated — maybe with a sign or a menu symbol. But questioning a customer’s condition and then trying to be a smart-ass about the broth being “full of gluten” is completely unprofessional and disrespectful! No, not everything contains gluten.
That is the last time I will ever eat at that place. Yes, the food is good, but it’s not good enough to justify dealing with arrogant and disrespectful staff acting like they know more than the customer.
Also, if they only offer gluten-free noodles in chicken broth, how can anyone be sure that the broth is truly gluten-free? Even if they make it themselves, how do we know the chicken was raised, processed, and handled in a gluten-free facility? That’s where cross-contamination can happen — and it’s a serious concern for people with severe allergies, not just intolerance.
If the restaurant wants to take it that far, it calls into question the integrity of their gluten-free ramen. Is it truly meant for people with severe gluten intolerance? Are they sourcing every ingredient from certified gluten-free facilities? Or is it just a marketing tactic aimed at health-conscious customers like my mother — all while subjecting them to unnecessary interrogation and making themselves appear accommodating and inclusive?
Enjoy affordable prices in an unexpectedly high-end ambience at this top spot in Huntsville, and remember to make a reservation on weekends!

The gluten free selection was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. However, we were disappointed as there was not much spicy food available.

Great place to grab some great food. I've had the orange chicken bowl twice and loved it! My family has ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl and spicy chicken teriyaki bowl.
Their menu has gluten free items listed, but you will need to ask about dairy free options...if that's an issue for you.

I have eaten here dozens of times with no issues. The pho is absolutely amazing and I recommend it to anyone. Having a big bowl of delicious noodles as a celiac is not something I usually get to experience but with Viet house I am able to. This one is definitely worth giving a try.
Honestly didn’t expect much. I went there because a companion needed gluten free, and I am not a big sauce person. The maki sauce blew me away, and it pairs very well the beef sliders.
Expect exceptional service and amazing Asian cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere where diners feel right at home.

I travel for work frequently and one advantage is having my wife with me on my business trips. With her gluten allergy it can be difficult but we have found ways around this. When we find a place that can make virtually anything gluten free, some of her favorite items that she can't have other places, she was able to find here - I call this a success. The food is delicious and the service was fantastic. I don't think I have ever seen anyone tear up over being able to have a spring roll. We will be back as many times as we can.
Amazing. I have to eat gluten free and the lady when I ordered had a binder for me to look at with lots of options which is very rare if you're gluten free. I had the coconut soup and the spicy fried rice and they were incredible. They made the fried rice without soy sauce and it honestly didn't taste different because of the other stuff they add in. I will absolutely be back.
