Dine in | Dinner | $10–20 Food was fantastic. Nothing labeled Gluten-free on the menu, but the waiter told me exactly what was Gluten-free, what could be modified, and what was off limits. Small place, but very relaxed atmosphere. Had this at Dinner yesterday. Would definitely recommend and go back. However, I'm confused about the 93.0 (A) rating - maybe it was an off day when the inspector came? Because the food was delicious.

We came here with my two daughters. They brought out an extra appetizer for the kids cause they were so hungry. My one daughter has gluten and vegan allergies and they were able to make a chicken curry for her that she loved that was allergen free. Our waiter was very attentive and made it a great relaxing time for the kids and us. Food was excellent, the portions are large, so we have leftovers that we took home. We’re gonna come back on the weekend for the buffet —-

Fantastic ramen, gluten free noodles were yummy. Cauliflower is next level! Musubi was nostalgic, used to live in Hawaii and it took me back. Love the vibe! Everything we had was yummy!

My daughter and I had noodles. It was exceptionally good and fresh! The service was great. They have vegan and gluten free options for most of their dishes. Definitely a hidden gem in Durham. Will come back again.

What a gem of a restaurant. My sister got gluten free+mild, I got regular Udon+Thai hot. Flavor, heat, service all absolutely fantastic. Restaurant is clean. Highly recommend.

As a family, we’ve eaten at Akashi weekly for years! It is our absolute favorite place for sushi and hibachi in NC. Everything is high quality and delicious every time. My son loves their miso soup and they have gluten free soy sauce for my husband. We are so grateful to be just down the street from the best Japanese spot in Durham!!!

Met a friend for lunch here and loved it! The menu is unreal, a wide variety of dishes catering to different dietary preferences. Gluten free, vegetarian, vegan & carnivores too! I had the drunken noodles and my friend had a poke bowl. Both were delicious! Atmosphere is fun - a great place to enjoy a delicious meal. They have a great sushi menu too - will definitely try on my next visit. Highly recommend!

I tried this place recently and enjoyed it. The okra dish is tasty. Many gluten free options. Biryanis, vegetable dishes and curry etc. I have celiac and did not react to the food I ordered.

Great food, yes it’s pricy but usually tastes fresh. You can get gluten, dairy or whatever you want free. I prefer the Kona with rice. Super delicious and nice location.
