I am a regular Korean BBQ eater. Maybe it's not entirely fair to compare Japanese BBQ to Korean, I know different countries entirely, however, being in Northern Virginia it is hard not to compare a similar concept to KBBQ. The atmosphere is great, the meat was delicious, the sides lacked any flavor because they were just regular veggies (corn, not cheese corn, zucchini and cremini mushrooms), it came with a salad and miso that were flavorful. We ordered the value meal for 2 people with one cocktail $14 and a diet coke the total was $106, after tipping 22% I spent $130.. The meat was perfectly marinated and the quality was high, however the portions were insanely SMALL. I left hungry and wishing I went to Kbbq instead but it was an experience. I also noticed all the marinades and sauces were sweet- the sauces on the table were Ponzu, Sweet Soy Sauce and a Spicy Sauce that was also sweet, I found myself wishing for a more savory sauce to balance out all the sweetness. Our server was super friendly and attentive. For example I had taken the lemon from my gfs cocktail and put it in my diet coke, our server noticed and without me saying anything brought me a refill diet coke with a lemon (this didn't go unnoticed!). I personally don't see myself coming back but glad I gave it a try. Oh and I will add that everything we ordered was gluten and dairy free naturally so that was a huge plus.
Expect a lively atmosphere with delicious options and attentive service, perfect for groups and special dietary preferences.

Had a fabulous meal here, a quick stop on the way to the airport. The ramen was great and the Jinya bun was a perfect appetizer. My server, Rawles, was so pleasant and helpful and walked me through the menu since it was my first time here. All the staff were extremely polite and gracious and I would definitely recommend this place for a larger group. Gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options are so nice to see on a menu, even if I didn't take advantage of them this first time.
A chill spot with marked menu options, creating a relaxed vibe perfect for celebrations or casual meals, and it consistently impresses everyone.

10 out of 10 as usual! From mass and we eat here whenever we are in the area and we are never disappointed! The gluten free options are great and they work with you to ensure your food safety. The manager Ricci was so incredibly amazing! So personable and made us feel right at home as soon as we sat down. Chija was also very personable and helped us in finding the perfect gluten free dish for my mom who has celiacs. If you haven’t dined here then you don’t know what you’re missing! We can’t wait to come back!
Expect a casual vibe with a diverse menu featuring great appetizers and flavorful dishes, perfect for low-spice preferences.

Terrific food and great service! A go-to for lunch get togethers. LOVE the lunch specials and food is spiced just right. Lots of gluten free options that are clearly marked. DELICIOUS and reasonably priced. Nice ambiance too. Best Thai food around.
Charming spot with a cozy vibe, but the wall-mounted drink menu could use a redesign for better readability.

Great food and wonderful place. Especially love that they are so good about gluten free since my family members have Celiac disease. Only negative is the drink menus being posted on the wall only. They’re hard to read and honestly, knock down the ambiance a bit.
This spot is a local favorite with a diverse menu, quick service, and consistently tasty dishes that never disappoint.

One of my favorite go to spots, most of their dishes are tasty, you can’t go wrong. They have gluten free options, just make sure you tell them. The service is friendly and fast. I typically get the chicken or shrimp pad Thai which are solid choices. The shrimps are large and fresh. I’ve also eaten the green and Penang curry as well as their drunken noodle and pineapple fried rice. I order take out more but the handful of times I’ve gone in the restaurant it has been clean and fast service.
A popular spot in Ballston Quarter known for its unique corn dog options and a cool atmosphere, but the toast steals the show!

Their toasts are really good. I think they promote K corn dog but toast should be their primary signature dish. The toast bread is thick, moist and the eggs go so well with the meat toppings. The portion and quality are great and affordable/reasonable. Classic corn dog was ok but the sausage wasnt impressive. I took one star off for the sausage. I heard they sell gluten free chewy donut too. I want to try that soon.
A hidden gem in Ballston Quarter known for its perfectly crafted, generous crepes that deliver delightful flavor combinations and a unique take on classic favorites.

A delicious sushi meal with gluten-free accommodations, including GF tamari. The sushi chef and server were able to steer me to naturally gluten-free rolls. They had GF tamari, too. I'm adding Kusshi to my list of go-to sushi restaurants.
Great salmon toro, which is my favorite nigiri.
The maki I ordered were beautiful and delicious.
If you have any allergies, please make sure you choose sides or dishes you know are free of these; the wait staff was not particularly helpful with my gluten and egg allergy. Otherwise, the food was delicious! I ordered the bean thread and pork soup with a side of rice; my friend had the Market Soup which he described as "delicious" through a giant bite of meatball and noodles.
Kenji-san and staff are extremely hospitable! Definitely would recommend the Tan Tan Men Ground Pork Ramen! It's slightly spicy and filling! They've got Vegetarian Ramen for people too! Their broth is fresh and they run gallons of water to flush a lot of the gluten out of the noodles when they cook so it doesn't get soggy! Let's goooooooo 🍜
This has become my go-to sushi place on the Orange line. They take great care of the fish, always prepare it well, and have a good selection of saki and other drinks for dine-in or carry-out. Try the Koshihikari Echigo (rice lager) with your rolls or sashimi... good beer on its own merits, and also wheat-free and gluten-free if that's important to you.
I feel like this is one of Arlington's best kept secrets.
Food: 5
The food is FANTASTIC! And it's almost all gluten-free, including their orange chicken and soy sauce! (though they do have wheat in some things, so super allergic people should still be careful)
Price: 5
The prices might look high to some people ($12 after taxes for one entree), until you realize one entree is enough to leave you full for at least two meals.
Service: 4.5
I've only ever worked with the lady who owns the store, but she's super nice. The only potential problem is she's actually from China, so her accent might be hard for people to understand if they're not good at understanding different accents than their own. It's not a super heavy accent, though.
Atmosphere: n/a
It's more of a takeout restaurant than a sit-down restaurant, so atmosphere isn't really a thing. However, if you do want to eat there, they do have two small tables you can eat at and they'll wait on you.
Savory lunch deals with delicious rolls and awesome gyoza make it a popular spot, although expect a brief wait during busy hours.

Great lunch deals (15-18$ for 3 rolls). Sushi is very good (I got spicy lunch deal). Restaurant was a bit busy so the wait was a bit longer than expected but still only about 15 minutes after the pickup was expected.
Gyoza and miso soup was great!
Gluten free soy sauce was available!
Enjoy a chill vibe with fresh, flavorful dishes that balance taste and texture, all served up with a creative twist!

Fast, fresh and flavorful! Servers are really kind too. You can tell this restaurant takes not only taste but texture and balance into account. And a very chill atmosphere to hang out in. I only wish that there was more clarity as to potential allergens since their dishes can be creative. Some typically gluten free items might not be gluten free.

My family and I came to this restaurant during our day trip to Washington DC. Since I have to follow a gluten free diet, we decided on this restaurant based on reviews I read and info regarding their ability to offer a good selection of GF items. A great meal! Not only was our food delicious, but the service was fantastic. My entree had a wonderful selection of unique vegetables that I've never knew of prior to our visit to Peter Chang. Looking forward to revisiting during our upcoming DC day trip!
