Have previously loved their gluten free pizza, but ordered it for delivery tonight and got 2 very thin, small pizzas with some anemic little bits of sausage and toppings for $50.. Won't be ordering from here any more.
With a cozy bookstore vibe and a creative menu, this spot is a must-visit for a relaxed, flavorful dining experience that gets busy on weekends!

I recently stopped in with a member of the family with Celiac. First and most important, he didn’t end up in the ER due to food contamination. I had the blackened mahi mahi which was wonderful. The green beans were especially fresh and full of flavor. The bar selection was great and I appreciate the local brews. I look forward to visiting again. Thanks!

I am a regular Korean BBQ eater. Maybe it's not entirely fair to compare Japanese BBQ to Korean, I know different countries entirely, however, being in Northern Virginia it is hard not to compare a similar concept to KBBQ. The atmosphere is great, the meat was delicious, the sides lacked any flavor because they were just regular veggies (corn, not cheese corn, zucchini and cremini mushrooms), it came with a salad and miso that were flavorful. We ordered the value meal for 2 people with one cocktail $14 and a diet coke the total was $106, after tipping 22% I spent $130.. The meat was perfectly marinated and the quality was high, however the portions were insanely SMALL. I left hungry and wishing I went to Kbbq instead but it was an experience. I also noticed all the marinades and sauces were sweet- the sauces on the table were Ponzu, Sweet Soy Sauce and a Spicy Sauce that was also sweet, I found myself wishing for a more savory sauce to balance out all the sweetness. Our server was super friendly and attentive. For example I had taken the lemon from my gfs cocktail and put it in my diet coke, our server noticed and without me saying anything brought me a refill diet coke with a lemon (this didn't go unnoticed!). I personally don't see myself coming back but glad I gave it a try. Oh and I will add that everything we ordered was gluten and dairy free naturally so that was a huge plus.
Expect a casual vibe with a diverse menu featuring great appetizers and flavorful dishes, perfect for low-spice preferences.

Terrific food and great service! A go-to for lunch get togethers. LOVE the lunch specials and food is spiced just right. Lots of gluten free options that are clearly marked. DELICIOUS and reasonably priced. Nice ambiance too. Best Thai food around.

Ambar is a very nice upscale restaurant with a delicious menu, specially for Sunday brunch. They have a Gluten free/vegan menu, but our waiter was a bit wary about recommending anything, because, as she said, they do not take any care about mixing/cross-contaminating dishes. I really do not understand why they bother saying they offer gluten free options if there is no effort in separating a bit of the kitchen to make the Gluten Free dishes. The mimosas are nice, but served almost at room temperature. We tried almost all the dishes in the menu, and they are perfect for individual consumption. The tomato soup was excellent. The balkan kebabs were a bit raw for our taste, but everything was nicely presented. The only gluten free dessert is the granola, fruit and yogurt plate without the granola, but it was very nice and refreshing. The restaurant is modern and cute. Fast service. Good prices for the experience. Will visit again.

This place has hands down some of the best pizza I've had. The gluten free pizza is amazing too-- the crust is buttery and crispy. But the toppings and cheese are the best part-- if you order steak on your pizza they load it up with meat that is super high quality. The homemade pizza sauce, delicious pull-apart cheese, and perfectly baked crust are top notch. The prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. The service is also very friendly. I would highly recommend Lost Dog Cafe to anyone looking to get a bite to eat in the area.
This spot impresses with a variety of options for everyone, generous portions, and outstanding customer service that goes the extra mile.

Cannot speak more highly of Mejana. Ordered from them for my office’s staff lunch and there were options for everyone: vegetarian, gluten free, and meat. Prices are reasonable and portions are large. Staff is incredibly kind. Ordered from Grubhub for delivery, delivery was never confirmed by the 3rd party service, called the restaurant and they immediately said, “no worries, we will get to cooking and wait for the order to come in and call you when the order comes through and if a driver was assigned.” Mind you, this was Grubhub’s fault, not the restaurant! The hostess asked me to text them my order and texted me when it was ready since Grubhub wasn’t communicating with me. You can’t beat this kind of customer service. Love supporting this local, small-biz!
Experience a spacious spot with vibrant, authentic flavors and a variety of vegetarian options that make it stand out.

The pita bread for appetizers was light and soft. Hummus trio was perfect, especially the spicy hummus. Kibbeh was very filling so maybe don't order it if you plan to order a full entree as well.
I especially enjoyed my mouzat (slow cooked lamb leg with spiced rice). It was a lovely meal.
Great service, the place is huge so there were many available seats, good food.
They have lots of vegetarian and gluten free options.
Highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious and many gluten free options (all 3 of the BBQ sauces are GF). I had the meat sampler with sides of collard greens and Mexican street corn plus deviled eggs as a starter - everything was amazing!

Found this restaurant on my gluten free app while I was in Crystal City.
The manager explained the process to keep me from getting cross contamination on the cauliflower crust that they had. The baked it in a separate oven.
It is a brewery so if you are not interested in beer. Although the bartender created something delicious for me with pineapple juice 🧃.
Sports bar with excellent screen views.
My pizza was so delicious. My daughter also enjoyed her wings and fries.
Bartender was a great conversationalist and a perfectionist about his job.
Packed on weekends with a lively vibe, expect a fun atmosphere and a delicious selection of wine and cocktails.

If you are ever in the Arlington Washington DC area please check out Liberty Tavern. They were amazing with my allergies(gluten and dairy) and took it so seriously. My burger came with the gf bun (no extra charge btw 🙌), but still had cheese on it. I alerted our server who promptly whisked it away and brought me back a separate (not-small and freaking delicious) side salad for me to eat while they had to remake the burger. Burger came out this time with just the bun and absolutely nothing else on it (and yet more ginormous side salad). I laughed and started eating it anyways and it was honestly the best tasting burger I've ever had, even plain (the gf bun was also perfectly toasted iykyk). Manager comes over and asks if they didn't put cheese on this time. I joke that they didn't take any chances and put nothing. He is very frustrated at this point and comes back with my lettuce/tomato/onion, and apologized again. Server comes back to make sure everything is good and tells me they're comping the burger because Manager was mortified that someone with an allergy might've had something that could've made them sick. As someone who has had less-than-stellar experiences with my allergies, I appreciated everything they did to make me feel like I wasn't a problem and to serve good food, which btw everyone we ate was amazing. Also I had zero reactions from the food.
We sat in the lower level tavern area since it was that weird happy hour period before they serve dinner, had some great drinks and I loved the atmosphere. Our server noticed my husband watching a Lakers game on his phone, and put the game on a nearby TV for us (they bonded over Luka and Jokic since our server was from Serbia as well). If we're ever in the area again we'll definitely be going back.

A nice american restaurant with a good selection of burgers, sandwiches, fish, salads, flat breads, chicken wings, steak, etc. Good wine list and beers. They have a Gluten Sensitive menu. Good service and reasonable prices.
Mussel Bar is fantastic. The cocktails are delicious (I recommend the French 75 if you're a gin fan), the atmosphere is lively yet intimate (we got a booth away from the bar) and the seafood is the best I've had in the area. I'm also a big fan of Mussel Bar because of the incredible gluten free food options.

Excellent atmosphere, quick service, and tasty pastries and sandwiches. A bit pricey, but they have a variety of options and they always taste fresh and well-made. Definitely would recommend for a quick bite, coffee, or brunch with a friend. I personally hope they can add more gluten free options in the future as well.

Definitely a hidden gem of a place, with a great atmosphere for sitting and chilling with friends. Servers are kind and attentive-you can tell they love working there. The food is good too, especially the fish & chips, onion rings and sausage rolls. My friend said the house beer was good too, and the Irish coffee was wonderful! There are definitely options for natural gluten-free foods, like burgers without buns and salads and nachos, but nothing is noted as GF on the menu. I’m sure the servers would be happy to answer questions though if you ask though. Definitely plan to be back!
Amazing service and a fantastic atmosphere make this spot a must-visit for an exceptional dining experience.

A delicious sushi meal with gluten-free accommodations, including GF tamari. The sushi chef and server were able to steer me to naturally gluten-free rolls. They had GF tamari, too. I'm adding Kusshi to my list of go-to sushi restaurants.
Great salmon toro, which is my favorite nigiri.
The maki I ordered were beautiful and delicious.

Was there with my wife Andrea today for lunch. The food was amazing and so was the staff. I ordered the lamb gyro with a side of cole slaw and my wife got a smoked veggie dish that was Gluten Free for her. We both loved it and highly recommend.
SO… my husband and I and our baby walked in and I mean, the host rolled her eyes as soon as we walked in.. talk about rude & she acted like she didn’t want to be at work. & I mean okay.. anyways boo.. if you don’t wanna work there then don’t lol your job is to literally seat people.. lazy. BUT, TAMMY OUR SERVER WAS AMAZING. She made sure my meals were gluten free as I have celiac disease & everything was perfectly cooked. It was soooo good & Tammy was on point making sure we were accommodated tonight:)
Ate dinner here while staying an unexpected night at the Residence Inn next door. I have Celiac disease, and Cristian and the chef were wonderful and made sure to use separate pasta water and prepare my meal gluten-free. I really appreciated it. Affordable for a hotel restaurant, and the food was good.
Outstanding bar. Great rotating drafts, stools that you can sit on, and the ambiance of a grocery store surrounding you. If you choose to shop, it is highly recommended that you spend 3-4 hours at this bar first so that you can ignore all of the paleo/gluten free/crossfit vibes that resonate. Fairly magical when paired with the top notch buffet adjacent to the bar. Anyone interested in grocery shopping loosely should investigate the possibilities of this bar. I may be wrong, but it is possible to order drinks and imbibe while you shop. Beware: you can’t leave the bar without passing the mochi case.
I love this place! So, for the uninitiated: The Lost Dog has a pizza oven, and The Stray Cat has a griddle. So if you want a pizza or an open-faced deli sandwich, go to the Dog. If you want a burger, go to the Cat. They’re equally good, down-home greasy spoons that fit the neighborhood perfectly and have great atmosphere. The Cat has gluten free buns available. I WISH they were open for breakfast - walking my kids over for pancakes would be awesome!! - but still, it’s a great casual place for lunch and dinner.

Great place for cocktails and a tasty bite to eat. Lots of veggie choices. The “gyro” was somehow really nicely balanced and tasted healthier and fresh. Gold digger and passion fin off the cocktail menus. Went for lunch and bummed that the small plates weren’t available until dinner bc really wanted the beet gluten free pasta. Gallery of mostly pop art. Fun space fun drinks. Inside ballston mall above true foods.
A lively hotel bar with decent food, a DJ cranking up the tunes in the evening, making it a fun stop for guests needing a bite and drinks.

Food was fairly decent for a bar. They even had gluten free options. Service was pretty decent as well. Prices are what you would expect I think. Atmosphere wasn't bad except in the evening they had a DJ and the music was pretty loud. I liked the music he was playing, it was just a bit loud for a hotel bar. If you're staying at the hotel and need food and drinks it's worth stopping by.
Amazing grilled cheeses, even on gluten free bread! All the grilled cheese fixings you could ask for (and some you wouldn't think to ask for) paired with a great list of brews and other beverages.
I cannot say enough great things about this place. It's very hole in the wall feeling. Been here quite a few times now and the every staff member I've interacted with is amazing. Prices are great and not over priced. Vegan, vegetarian, and/or gluten free? This place has great options for all!! I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Was staying in a hotel around the corner from the Grand Cru in mid-August. I was greeted warmly at the front and offered my choice of seating. They have outdoor tables, but I ate inside. Not being a wine drinker, I came for the Gluten Free food as they have many choices. I liked the salmon dinner I had the first time, so I came back again for the duck. The soups I had were fabulous as well. My attentive server Erick made sure I enjoyed my meal. If I visit Arlington again I will surely come back.
