This cafe is not only stunning but the food tastes amazing and is very reasonably priced. The staff were lovely and so was the atmosphere. It was always difficult finding a cafe to accomodate a gluten free and vegetarian but this place ticked all the boxes. Would highly recommend!

Good place for breakfast or snack. The staff is very friendly, especially considering that we don't speak a single word of Portuguese. They have variety all 100% gluten free. There were four pastas that we ordered, 10. They also make bimbo type bread if you have to make sandwiches.

The entire menu is gluten-free. To eat sweet or savory and take cakes or bread home. A little pricey and you have to wait a while since you order, but a place in this beautiful city where you can eat with your family being celiac is greatly appreciated.

From tapioca, salads, smoothie bowls, shakshuka, pancakes, etc. We'd also like to inform you that all toasts can be served on gluten-free bread or with a baked sweet potato base instead of traditional bread. Decent offering of gluten & sugar free desserts, with the option of being lactose free and vegan. The outlet mainly create larger cakes and offer frozen food for sale🎂 Dining in is possible, with very limited seating available only outdoor. Indoor seating is somewhat used as an office and seminar room for cake and pastry workshop. Taste for both Lasagna and apple tart are decent in taste. Coffee ☕️ (decaf) was average. Wifi is available. Service is attentive. Portuguese command is highly advantageous for a smooth experience, as the staffs speaks close to zero English.

For those who want to enjoy healthy and nutritionally balanced meals, try a meal at this place, "INFUSION" in Santa Maria da Feira on Rua do Continente Modelo. And what can I say about the Walnut Cake (original recipe from a local fan), an absolute delight. I recommend it A 10 overall (my opinion)

The customer service here is exceptional. Everyone who greeted us, seated us, waited on us, and helped us were so friendly and helpful and paid attention to detail. They have gluten free options that aren't necessarily listed on the menu. We had a special spring menu and the chicken wings were made gluten free for me. We also enjoyed the biggest fudge brownie sundae I've ever seen in my life. The food was delicious and we left very full. Being a tourist destination, the prices are higher than usual so that's something to be mindful of ahead of time. Overall a great experience.

Stopped by Brezel for a quick fresh orange juice and ended up discovering their amazing sugar-free, gluten-free cakes. Everything looked so tempting I couldn’t resist — and it tasted even better! The owner was kind enough to explain the science behind their baking— all products gluten and sugar free. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Portugal.

My family and I all agreed that this was the best meal we had during our entire trip to Portugal. Sooo many creative flavor pairings. Options for veggie and gluten-free eaters, which is important to us. Our table wasn't ready at our reservation time, but we didn't mind waiting outside for a few minutes and watching the local nightlife. Delicious breaky spot in Lagos with great coffees too. They have gluten free bread so can make most things coeliac friendly! Well priced too. It is very popular so you might struggle to get a seat or may have to wait. Had an issue with our order and the staff sorted it out graciously took the meal off the bill.

I am more than surprised. First of all. There is a lot of gluten-free options. The food is amazing and that’s for the low price. The service is top. Very nice. I once been there for the breakfast and I have to say it’s a little bit on the smaller size, but for the price, it’s no doubt really good And now I’ve been there For There Sunday meal and it was absolutely amazing and the portion was let’s say definitely enough. Great local family run restaurant! Food was delicious and they were incredibly accommodating of and knowledgable about the gluten free options. Particular highlights were the moqueca, lamb and the Dad’s hot chilli’s for those who like it spicy! Our favourite meal in Vale de Lobo - sad we waited so long to try it!

I was so looking forward to come to this place, after having been to other Jose Avillez restaurants. This one was such a disappointment! The service was bad from start to finish, started off with a grumpy lady waiter that couldn’t be bothered to wait for us to choose, even though we had a coeliac child and needed to make sure what was ordered was safe. We were then served by another waiter, but it turns out half our order was already sent to the kitchen. Our food came in different times and the steak was cold. Two starters ordered first arrived after the main meals and again( one of them was cold. We sent the steak back, but everyone else had eaten their meal by the time it returned without even an apology. I think Jose Avillez should ensure the standard of his restaurants remain high, otherwise people will come out disappointed and write reviews similar to the recent ones here.
