I traveled from Sacramento to try this gluten-free bakery. I was very surprised by the variety of items available. I wish they would open a location close by.
This spot offers a chill vibe with a diverse menu and juicy, hormone-free fried chicken that keeps folks coming back for more.

Most items can be made gluten free.
Fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer.
Do not eat bbq sauce, malted mayo that comes with fries, or biscuit as those are not gluten free. All mayo on sandwiches is regular mayo.
A go-to cozy spot for delicious breakfast and lunch options, delivering consistently good quality in a laid-back vibe perfect for a quick bite.

Tremendous breakfast/lunch spot. Great breakfast sandwiches.
Gluten free English muffin is also very good if you need GF.
Mainly bagel sandwich options with a nice espresso bar
A great breakfast place I've been going to for decades. Had lemon curd pancakes, so good! Others had catfish and eggs and lox scramble. We left nothing behind! They have excellent gluten free toast.
A go-to spot in a food desert neighborhood, known for its generous portions, variety, and being the only deli/lunch spot within several blocks.

Look, all the food here is decent. Great variety, good lunch spot. They’re pretty much the only deli/lunch spot in a 5-7 block radius & they know it. You can get breakfast. The tuna salad’s good. The pre-packaged salads are freshly made & they’ve got beer/wine options for your after-work pick-up on the way home.
The pros:
• They have some gluten-free sandwich bread. (Important)
• The portions are generous.
• The ppl that work here remember regulars names. (Which is great as I’ve been coming here for 7 years now)
The only negative about coming here is Oakland’s rent prices are probably so insane that Sierra has to charge you a tooth & nail for basic lunch items. A peanut butter & jelly sandwich on gluten-free bread costs me $9.
A breakfast platter (2 scrambled eggs w/ cheese, bacon, gluten-free toast, potatoes) & an orange juice was like $24.
I’m from NYC, the land of bodegas aka corner stores where there’s a deli like this sometimes twice on the same block, & everything is super affordable. So even after living in Oakland for some time, I always shake my head leaving here feeling light in the wallet. It’s the only reason I can’t drop 5 stars. Because rent aside, if U live/work nearby, this is your go-to spot to get food in this relative food desert of a neighborhood so they can tack on a buck or two & you’ve gotta pony up.
But- for what you pay for, they really do try & hook it up with generous portions.

Got a box from my work for a zoom happy hour. Friendly delivery (according to my wife) and excellent quality and diverse set of food (many many little foods with little flowers, fresh rosemary, etc.). Gluten free options, etc. Well done!
A lively spot for lunch, known for its well-labeled, packed sandwiches that make ordering a breeze for groups.

Great sandwiches including a HUGE vegan menu. They have gluten free/vegan bread as an option also for those that prefer it. Order ahead since it might take a bit of time to get the sandwiches made.
A must-try for vegans and health-conscious folks, perfect for picnics, lunches, and brunches with out-of-this-world summer rolls and tender meatballs.

Gluten-free heaven! As a person with Celiac Disease, it's hard to find places that are safe to eat, so I am very excited this place exists! Tasty food and drinks - perfect for those with dietary needs.
I got a Reuben on gluten free bread and the serving size was HUGE. The pastrami was excellent quality, the kraut was super fresh and honestly these fries. The fries were perfectly cooked. Like the crispiest best little bites I've had in forever. I kept eating them long after I was full. I will definitely come back!
It's a Lucky's. They do have a gluten free selection. Minimal personal care etc. (But there's a Walgreens right next door, and a Dollar Store across the street from Walgreens). Shelves are fully stocked. Can't say the same for the Lucky's in El Cerrito Plaza.
