A little pricey but I'm not surprised in this town especially for organic food. Also, the lunch menu is much bigger than the dinner menu but it wasn't available at dinner time which was a little annoying. But the food was great. I was happy to find gluten free pasta here.

The service is excellent, they patiently explain the ingredients in the desserts. There are many gluten-free and lactose-free food options, everything looks fresh. The restaurant is full of plants, which makes the atmosphere very warm.

A great find in La fortuna! The interior decor is soo pretty and its located just a little bit outside the main downtown area. The menu was not super big but had many great gluten free options that were clearly marked. My family tried their ceviche, shrimp rice, grilled chicken bowl and Inca salmon. Most entrees came with two accompaniments, I would recommend the salad, the dressing was so good!

Chicken Shawarma plate is absolutely heavenly! Really generous portion and you can add your own salad to pick exactly what and how much you want. It’s also gluten free if you don’t have the pitta. Good value for money and a very laid back dining experience if you’re bored of formal dinners out. Would really recommend the rum, coconut and pineapple smoothie too.

I eat vegetarian and gluten free so I thought this was the perfect restaurant. It also said on the wall of the restaurant that the cocktails between a certain time were 2000 colones. When I asked this was only for the Margarita and the Mojito and it would cost 2800 colones. I thought this was quite special, but I had to wait for the food first. I specifically asked not to put coriander in my food. Unfortunately it still came with coriander. I said that I really didn't like the dish with coriander in it, but there seemed to be little initiative to find a solution. My husband had something with chicken, but it ended up being an expensive kind of toasted sandwich. But quickly settled when he finished eating. Unfortunately it wasn't cheap either. More than 20,000 packages paid for 2 people.

Stopped in for a late lunch (kitchen closes at 2 pm on Sundays) and the team squeezed our order in. Extremely gluten free friendly and the food was amazing. I got the Tuna tartar and a passion fruit mango smoothie and I’ll be going back tomorrow.

This place is a must-visit in Monteverde (even with the trek) don’t miss out!!! The food was INCREDIBLE!! It was also great because they were gluten-free friendly! We had the Senda Soup, Pork Chop, Beef Tenderloin and gluten free Churros for dessert and all of it was immaculate. We don’t have any notes, truly. 10/10 recommend for food alone, but on top of that, the service was incredible - very kind, funny and personable staff (Edwin was our server)! The atmosphere was lovely and relaxing and just all around great. The price is higher but it’s definitely worth it!

I am celiac and the experience was excellent in this place. They have a gluten-free menu and management and knowledge of what cross contamination is. Super recommended as well as excellent flavor… Alex, the waiter, very professional and attentive to me and my family.

I am usually a non-vegan that usually doesn't want or think about vegan food. But Árbol de Seda makes me vegan bisexual, and good thing because they are LGBTQ-loving. As a gluten free gay married couple, my husband and I love it here! The food and hospitality are natural and masterful. The vegan and gluten free desserts are divine. This place is perfect! It is a hotel-restaurant. The setting is very relaxing and the service is attentive, kind and smiling. At lunchtime, we had the fish tacos: delicious! Of course, when it's busy, the service can be a little long, but we're on vacation... so we stay cool. In the evening, we enjoyed tuna with a red wine sauce, a very original combination. The restaurant also offers gluten-free breads, which is a real plus. And in the morning, what a pleasure to enjoy breakfast served facing the sea... an unforgettable experience!

I have been to Pico several times, the atmosphere is very nice, the guys are very friendly but the food always takes a long time to come out of the kitchen. They brought us the coffee and when the food arrived we had already finished the coffee for 5 minutes, when really I would have liked to have it with my breakfast. Last time I ordered some gluten free pancakes and it was the poorest dish I ate...it had 4 slices of strawberries and not even half a spoonful of chantilly. It's not a cheap place so they could take more care of what they put on the plate from my point of view. I have been a chef for 20 years and I pay attention to these things.

This place felt like our second home in our stay in Guiones! The staff is incredible friendly. The food was amazing. I am celiac and there were plenty of GF options for me. The mango fish fajitas were definitely a highlight as was the chili guaro! The rice and beans were the best out of all the places I tried in my 12 days visiting. Did I mention how nice the staff is?!?! Top Notch. So lucky we found this place.

I work remotely and, thanks to some newly diagnosed medical conditions, I need to find meals that are low sugar and gluten free. Guayoyo to the rescue! It is bright, clean space with just the right amount of people-watching and music when I need a break from my work. The staff is always great about letting me take up space with my laptop and making me the most delicious iced and hot teas (with honey!). My go-to dish is the Tuna Salad made with quinoa and garbanzo beans. I didn't even know I liked garbanzo beans and now I'm obsessed with them. I try stay away from the baked good because of the gluten, but the blueberry muffins and banana bread are worth having my tummy scream at me later. This is a must-do when you just want a relaxing space that feels a little homey.

I read another review that said Ani’s had the best açaí bowls in town, and wow, I’m obsessed! They offer either yogurt base or coconut milk base, and adding peanut butter on top really takes it up another level. Bonus: they have gluten free granola! It’s pretty pricey, but so is the rest of Santa Teresa. And I’ll happily pay $17 again and again for what is undoubtedly the best, creamiest, freshest-tasting açaí bowl I’ve ever had. The service is lovely (albeit a little understaffed at peak hours), and the aesthetic here is great too. I once got the breakfast grilled cheese… and just, don’t do that. They’re called “Ani’s Bowls” for a reason. Highly recommend checking this place out for breakfast or lunch!

The fries are not gluten free. When fries are cooked in a fryer with items that have gluten (onion rings) they get gluten on them, enough to make a celiac sick. The drinks and burgers are good just don't trust them about the fries.

The food is delicious, all handmade, they have gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. We tried the seitan tacos, the vetariana burger, we loved it, good portions and everything fresh. Then we had coffee with the pastry and beyond expectations, the chocolate pie made with avocado and sweet potato was delicious, highly recommended!
