Nice and cozy atmosphere at Brasserie America! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Because of my food allergies (soy, gluten and dairy) eating out is usually not that easy. Our experience is that what remains after eliminating the allergens, that the cohesion of a dish is often gone🥴 and that is a shame. Here at Brasserie America you don't have to worry about that! I can really recommend this nice and cozy Brasserie! Delicious food, tasteful and enough choice in the allergen-free options! My husband can eat everything and he also enjoyed it😬

Genuinely pleasantly surprised. Despite the crowds, very smooth and well served by a clearly professional team. I eat gluten-free and vegetarian and that combination often limits my menu options to one dish. But here it turned out to be an adapted menu with 3 gluten-free-vegetarian main courses alone. This was quite a cozy, nicely decorated restaurant with a big variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. The service was amazing and the food was quite good too. I would recommend the caramel pancakes as well as the scrambled tofu bread as they were quite rich in flavor and the flavor combination came together nicely with each bite. A big plus for me as well is that they’re dog friendly!

Not nice experience. We ordered one gluten free bagel at the counter for one intollerant friend and they brought one regular bagel with the right coffee so our friend eat it. 15 minutes later another waitress came with “the gluten free bagel” and we realized the first supposedly gluten free bagel was with gluten. It wouldnt have been so big an issue if the staff would have apologised but instead the head waitress, at her boss order, asked us to pay for the gluten free bagel if we wanted to keep it (which of course we had already paid). We Don’t recommend this place.

Back at Carée after three years – and what a party! From the moment we walked in, we immediately felt welcome. The owner is the soul of this business: she cooks with passion and knows how to perfectly convey the flavors of authentic Italy. Each dish is prepared with fresh, pure ingredients – you can taste the love in every bite. We enjoyed a generous three-course menu that was more than worth the price. Everything was prepared with care and beautifully presented. Also nice: dietary requirements, including gluten-free, are really taken into account. In short: Carée is truly a culinary Sicilian pearl in Valkenburg. We will definitely be back - and this time not for another three years!

They have gluten free bagels and staff are very knowledgeable although it might depend who is on duty. I asked for the allergen menu which is quite detailed, breaking down all the ingredients with their allergens. Went with the safest option which was a plain bagel with cheese cream. When asked for the omelette bagel they advised against it due to contamination (not exactly sure why but I took their advise) If I had to suggest something, it's for the waiters to bring food on a separate dish to avoid cross contamination

A pleasant lunch spot during our trip to Venlo. Hip, trendy interior, friendly helpful staff. A different concept than the usual. Also for my wife who has a gluten and lactose intolerance. Gluten and lactose free Bagels are available, which is certainly a plus. We had also looked this up in advance and found few places in Venlo where these products were available without making a reservation. In short, highly recommended for us.

You order a gluten-free sandwich with salmon. The sandwich was inedible, so terribly tough. I returned it, but I still had to pay for the sandwich. Has to do with my taste. I've been eating gluten-free for years, but this beat everything. The waiter had no rights to arrange anything. So unfortunately, just send an email and he was gone. You're a tourist, so get out. Really terribly bad.

We were there on May 3rd, 2025. If you have celiac disease (gluten intolerance), I ask you not to go there. We specifically asked whether there were any gluten-free residents there and were told with 100% certainty that everything would be separated. When we got the tray, the normal citizens were placed next to each other with the gluten-free citizens. After a few hours the reaction.!!! THE CITIZENS THERE ARE NOT GLUTEN FREE. I think it's an outrage and a reason for the health department.

The staff was very helpful with choosing a glutenfree and dairy free dish, and consulted kitchen staff to make sure it really is or to make adjustments. They even had glutenfree bread and glutenfree beer. Lovely experience, very nice staff.

We come to Germany and go there again and again because my wife has to eat gluten-free and then we always take 10 gluten-free cheeseburgers with us and freeze them in the microwave at home and they taste like fresh, UNFORTUNATELY MC DONALDS GERMANY IS NOT GLUTEN-FREE ON OFFER! So for people from the border region who have celiac disease, you can eat a few burgers here and enjoy your meal! 🍔

Great little place for breakfast or lunch. They even have gluten free bread. They were very attentive to my being coeliac, I really appreciated it. Clearly a favourite because there was a queue outside right before opening time! Absolutely recommended! 💯

Very cozy and cozy, sitting on the terrace, cool and in the shade. It was very hot. I have a gluten allergy and was able to eat well there. They even had two types of gluten-free beer, which is something you won't easily experience! The food was very good and there was a lot of tasty food. You should be afraid of chickens, a rooster and a chicken walked past you. Two peacocks are also sitting nearby. We found this no problem at all and even fun. We will definitely come back again!

We had dinner at Restaurant Cuba Libre last Saturday. Our daughter has a gluten allergy and the owner was very helpful in this. Very helpful and thoughtful. The food was superbly arranged. A young owner with a lot of passion for the food, but also for the people in the restaurant. That is why Restaurant Cuba Libre is 100% recommended.

Been coming here for years and am a regular and satisfied customer. There is something for everyone on the menu, I have tasted all the dishes and I like everything. Savings system is what they have is great! Also plenty of gluten-free options. The only pity is that payment can only be made by PIN and I personally think that is a shame and absolutely not possible.

Enjoyed a delicious (gluten-free) breakfast on the attractive terrace. The service is also smooth and very friendly. It has a fun and varied playlist of music, which really improves the atmosphere. Cafe Mundo (The Library) in Sittard is a gem! I had the scrambled eggs with gluten-free (glutenvrij) bread, avocado, and a mixed salad topped with a delicious vinaigrette that was absolutely divine. My vanilla café macchiato was the perfect accompaniment. As someone with celiac disease, traveling can be stressful, especially when navigating language barriers. However, the staff here spoke excellent English, fully understood my allergy, and put my mind at ease. Most importantly, I didn’t get sick, so I know they took the necessary precautions. Highly recommend this spot for its amazing food, friendly service, and attention to dietary needs. A must-visit if you’re in Sittard!

Lovely outdoor seating on one of the main pedestrian streets. We had vegan sandwiches for lunch, one on gluten free bread, and were so relieved to find good vegan and gluten free options that we returned for dinner for a vegan salad and the vegan “cheese” burger. Good place to eat for people with "Celiac Disease" Gluten Intolerance. Always call in advance so they can prepare. The chef and staff were well informed. And despite the small kitchen, everything was taken into account as best as possible. The cheerful wait staff took their time with us and we were served politely with a smile and a joke. ;D Nice cheerful atmosphere. Just a very nice café in the heart of Maastricht. Really worth it.

Don and his wife took over the DD this year and turned it into the DDD. Was curious what it would be like. Cycled there from Valkenburg. There are people who can mess up a tomato soup and a sandwich and there are also chefs who make a party of it. DDD is of the latter category. My sweetheart is gluten and cow's milk free. He was also able to eat well.
