This is a great bagels and beans! The service is friendly and good.
The variety of bagels you can get here is really great, there are other menu items too that I’m sure are good. I’ve just never tried them.
Just know there is only one kind of beans here! Would really love if they would add an English breakfast option to the menu! With some beans, an egg, and bacon! Yum! But truly I can’t complain. The vegan cream cheese here has my heart and the gluten free bagel is slammin!
This location can get pretty busy at lunch and sometimes during the rush they don’t do take away.
Enjoy a welcoming vibe with helpful folks ready to enhance your experience while checking out this charming spot.

Pleasant crowds, but was immediately asked by a friendly person at the cash register if she could help. Ordered a gluten free bagel and it was perfect.
I have never experienced them as sweet and knowledgeable as here and I regularly visit various branches.
Thank you very much to the employees here for making it go so smoothly ❤️

Had a delicious meal here with 2 children and 2 adults, with well-filled pizzas. Not all staff speak Dutch well.
We had 1 who had to eat gluten free. He had a pizza, which was tasty and had no problems afterwards. Dessert went a bit strange, with the older service he couldn't get anything, when we ordered we had a young lady and then he could get ice cream. Then there were some kind of smarties on it, which came from Italy. They couldn't say for sure if it was gluten-free, so they swapped it for ice cream only. That was no problem.
It's a shame that not all the staff are equally well informed because the food was delicious.
A stunning beach spot perfect for celebrations or casual hangs, featuring a vibrant atmosphere and plenty of delicious options for everyone.

Celebrated my 60th birthday here with 27 people. We had a BBQ that was perfectly prepared. Neat plates everywhere for gluten-free, vegetarian, etc. There was delicious salmon, spare ribs, hamburgers, chicken satay with sauce. Sandwiches, fries, pasta salad, regular salad, quinoa salad, grilled vegetables and all kinds of sauces. Everyone was very pleased with the food, they all enjoyed it. The service was perfect. The space we were allocated was also great. Just like the weather. All in all a beautiful location to celebrate your party.
With a cozy vibe and attentive service, this spot is all about delicious meals and satisfying portions, plus refreshing drinks to kick-start your visit.

This was great! We arrived without a reservation and it was full. The nice lady parked us in the sun for a while and when the table was ready she called us. The quality of the food was good: I eat gluten-free myself and that was perfectly fine. They even provided a gluten-free nougat for tea. Very attentive. In short, the food was very tasty and the ladies serving were very hospitable and friendly. Highly recommended 👌
A casual spot with a basic vibe, perfect for a quick bite but lacking in cozy charm and restroom facilities.

Had a nice lunch here, they have delicious gluten-free bread! That makes me happy now. However, it was always very difficult for me to understand the gentleman who made my sandwich because of his accent. This seemed to irritate him, but there was nothing I could do about it. He just didn't speak good Dutch. The atmosphere is, like most Subways, very basic and not very cozy. It also didn't have a toilet as far as I could see.
Enjoy thick pancakes with a stunning sea view, perfect for sharing, while watching kite surfers chase the waves, even on chilly days!

Delicious pancakes, even gluten-free upon request!
Anyone who has celiac disease knows how difficult it is to eat out gluten-free and, above all, contamination-free. Luckily that's possible here!
Service was excellent and they are knowledgeable about safe gluten-free preparation. We recommend!
The restaurant offers gluten free pancakes, no cross-contamination :-) Pancakes are made separately and in a separate pan. The staff is well-informed about the preparation of gluten free food :-)
Thanks so much for making our visit in Scheveningen so much easier with our son who suffers from celiac disease!

Cozy restaurant. You can eat very well here if you have specific dietary requirements. For example, I could eat gluten-free, lactose-free and without garlic (onion, garlic, etc). It tasted very good.
The service was well thought out and helpful.
In my opinion, highly recommended.
A cozy gem with unique decor and a charming courtyard, perfect for those seeking a quiet spot with delicious treats and a warm vibe.

Very lovely vibe cafe with some nice art on the walls and cozy decoration. Friendly warm welcoming staff. I had the grilled bread with smashed avocado (vegan) and latte macchiato with oat milk (side note: no cookie with the coffee). While waiting for my friend I ordered the same portion for her also, she has tomato allergy and the portion had tomato on it, there was no mention about it on the menu (I wish there would have been a list of the main ingredients). Therefore I am mentioning it just in case it's helpful for others. The food was fresh, tasty and nicely presented. I think it would have been even better with the house kimchi extra that I didn't order (which I regret a little bit). Especially when there was no vegan mayo with the portion (the non vegan options seemed to have more sauces). At least there was no misleading information like in some other places that claim to have vegan mayo but when you order it is not available. Still I would be pleasantly surprised if a cafe did have vegan mayo, it would be thoughtful. Personally as an avocado bread fan I would have liked some slices of it on the plate, even though it had smashed avocado it was not much visible underneath the other ingredients. But I could see there was still a lot of thought put on the presentation and added spices so the bread was still highly on the plus side. Someone on a light diet would definitely be happy with this kind of portion. I would definitely recommend this place for people who like a cozy little gem of a place on a side street. Wasn't too busy or packed up like some of the bigger cafes. 5 vegan options on the menu and some gluten free cake.
The need for gluten-free food was very well taken into account. Very attentive and friendly service.
Unfortunately, the eggs benedict was a bit disappointing.
Beautiful decor and atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and went the extra mile to ensure that my meal was gluten free. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you wonderful ladies of Cafe Blossom for making my first day in the Hague relaxing.x

Simply great! We received a very friendly welcome and our dog was given treats straight away. Very nice, harmoniously furnished location. The service and kitchen team took care of gluten-free alternatives for me. We had the 3-course menu and it was really delicious and varied for the palate!
Enjoy a cozy atmosphere where weekly specials and unique drinks like oat milk cappuccinos steal the show; a great spot for food lovers!

For me it was really a special pleasure to be able to eat a gluten-free roll. And handsome, appetizing.
Friendly advice and competent service. I live in Germany and have often asked for a gluten-free roll at restaurants or coffee shops and have always heard, no. I wish the team at Appels & Peren continued success. The bread was wonderful. Thank you again

The cats are obviously the draw here - there's only 4 but there's no fee to get in, so it's just a nice little cafe with cats wandering around!
Fairly limited menu but very well priced, with tasty food and generous servings for the price. I had a sandwich on gluten free bread, which was served with salad and vegetable chips.
This cozy spot offers a variety of delightful options and generous portions, making it a favorite hangout for locals and visitors alike.

Settled down in the back of Luden's for lunch with colleagues. Varied menu. Gluten-free bread 2 slices were nicely toasted and the smoked salmon, egg and avocado were more than enough to generously cover both sandwiches. Definitely go back again.

Here you can get a conscious healthy plantbased meal in a laidback atmosphere. I really liked that they have a variety of sweets including gluten-free and refined sugar free. The chai latte I had was super nice. Just like the snicker bar I had. Their lunch menu also looks amazing so I’ll have to come back another time to try those options. Plantbased milk they use is oat milk.
Sexy pancakes for the win! Big selection of coffees and drinks, great food, beautiful location! Vegan and gluten-free options in food and cakes! A total recommendation!
Last Friday evening we had dinner at Hart Beach.
One of my guests has Celiac disease, which means that you cannot eat gluten except trace amounts.
My guest ordered the vegan Flank steak, which states both on the menu and online that it can be gluten-free.
As a precaution, my guest repeatedly asked whether it was really gluten-free, both when ordering and when receiving the dish. This was repeatedly confirmed.
However, halfway through the meal, doubts started to arise because one of my other guests tasted it and didn't trust it. To be sure, we asked again and it turned out that it did indeed contain gluten. The second ingredient on the package was wheat protein, which means gluten.
The manager was called in, but did not make any suggestions to resolve the matter. He was mainly concerned with what it would mean for him. My guest had to ask for a new dish, which only came to the table an hour later.
The waiter was very shocked and fortunately did his best to make amends and removed the dish from the bill and offered a free drink. For the record: this review is not about getting money back or anything.
Unfortunately, my guest became very ill later that evening, with a lot of vomiting, and is still not feeling well. It is now Sunday.
The reason for this review is to warn people with Celiac Disease and to ask Hart Beach to immediately revise the menu, or immediately replace the gluten-free dish and check whether the gluten-free claims they make are actually correct. After all, I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
Amazing independently owned cafe! It’s quickly become our go to spot: great homemade cakes (including lactose and gluten free options!), delicious lunches, and friendly service from the two delightful owners. Everything is made with a lot of attention and care, so really great if you have food allergies or intolerances. Definitely worth a try when in the neighbourhood!
