Went for an early mid week tea. There was a separate Gluten Free Menu with plenty of options and the allergen handling was clearly explained, I ordered a smoothie and the staff member made sure all the equipment was swapped out before making. Food was delicious and speedy. Items were also clearly labelled with allergen markers which was reassuring. Can't wait to go back and try something else from the menu!

visited Manchester today for my scheduled monthly trip with my son and husband. We dined at the Hard Rock Cafe, our preferred establishment, appreciating its exceptional atmosphere, staff, and cuisine. The restaurant's accommodation of my son's and my coeliac disease is particularly noteworthy, ensuring both safety and deliciousness.
Our server, Steven, provided attentive, friendly, and welcoming service. His own experience with coeliac disease was a significant advantage, eliminating any need for extensive explanation (though the Hard Rock Cafe staff are consistently accommodating). He thoroughly explained the kitchen's procedures. Despite our familiarity with the restaurant, their reassurances regarding food safety were appreciated. Manager Rik also checked on our experience, reiterating the safety protocols. My son particularly enjoyed the attention, a welcome respite after a challenging week at school.

They don’t have a separate gluten free menu but almost everything can be made gluten free except from 2 or 3 dishes. They do have gluten in the kitchen so cross contamination is a possibility even if they take every precaution. Had the avocado on toast with poached egg for breakfast and a coconut flat white. The avocado on toast came with GF brioche bread which was very nice. The dish itself was nicely prepared with some lovely flavours. I’m a bit of a coffee snob and found the flat white was quite average. If I lived in Manchester I would definitely go back to try other dishes on the menu.

I love this place. I am a regular here, whether it’s just to get a takeaway drink or sit in and get some work done over a great brunch. They have gluten free and vegan options and the quality and quantity is great. My favourite is always the soups which are always changing. And usually their drinks are always great.
However I got an iced matcha with oat milk today and was VERY disappointed. There was practically no matcha. The drink was very light green and very milky. Just semi-matcha flavoured milk. This is the one drink I wouldn’t recommend or get again. It was £4.90 and just not worth it. Very bland and no flavour. Left me quite upset and let down as I do like this spot so much and am always purchasing from them.
I then went in about 2 weeks later to sit in and ordered another iced matcha and what I got was shocking. The drink was TINY and gone in about 2 sips, mind you half of the drink was just ice. So disappointing and just a rip off. (I have shown a picture of the drink next to my index finger for reference of how small the glass of matcha I was served really was.)
I understand matcha is expensive but if you can’t serve quality drinks or offer the option of to add extra matcha powder then don’t serve the drink period.

The place is and will always be amazing!! Budget friendly food and the best cocktails. We went for dinner and genuinely had a great time!! The food is finger liking good, and the best part is they got a gluten-free menu and vegan menu catering to our needs. The cocktails were simply amazing xx. The waiting staff were great, too. A bit loud with the music, but apart from that, it's really good. Definitely recommend.

I’ve been living in Manchester for two years now, and I think it’s safe to say that the meal I had at Hispi was one of the most memorable I’ve had in that time — if not the most memorable. One of the reasons we chose this spot was their separate gluten-free menu, and we decided to celebrate my mum’s birthday here. Without a doubt, we left incredibly happy and are already dreaming about our next visit.
From the photos, all dishes except for the Chicken Schnitzel (photo 2) and Strawberries and Cream (photo 3) were gluten-free. We went with the 3-course menu from the main menu, but I’m definitely planning to come back and try their bistro menu as well.
For starters, we ordered the Lamb’s Breast, Chestnut Mushroom Pâté, and Roast Beetroot Salad. Each one was packed with flavour, and we genuinely had to stop ourselves from finishing them too quickly.
For mains, we chose the Wild Halibut and the Chicken Schnitzel with Garlic & Parsley Butter. The halibut was perfectly cooked — one of the best fish dishes I’ve had in ages. The risotto underneath was equally divine. I’m glad I picked it, though I did try the schnitzel as well, and it was also absolutely delicious.
We also shared a side of Truffle and Parmesan Chips, and I don’t think I’ve ever had chips so thoughtfully prepared. Next time, I’ll probably order two portions if I’m not dining solo — they’re that good!
Now onto one of the best parts of the meal — dessert (aka the last kiss). We had the Vanilla Crème Brûlée, Honeycomb Ice Cream, and Strawberries and Cream. The crème brûlée was easily one of the best I’ve had in my life. Even though the portion was generous, we shared it — and I still found myself wishing for more.
As it was my mum’s birthday, I noted it when booking. During dessert, we were surprised with a sweet little gesture — they brought over some Malted Tea & Whiskey Fudge, which meant a lot to us. Thank you for such thoughtful hospitality.
We paired our meal with a lovely bottle of Shiraz, which added a perfect touch to an already special evening.
The total came to £227, and honestly it was one of the best £227 I’ve ever spent.
A special thanks to our server Hannah, who was incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive throughout.
Thank you again to the whole team for making the night so special. Can’t wait to return!

The atmosphere and look of the venue is great but if you are needing a gluten free option be prepared to feel excluded as there was nothing except the craft beer vender.
I have to say I expected way more from a venue that comes across as a modern and cosmopolitan food destination and hoped that there would be some venders providing some allergen friendly options but disappointingly there seemed little to no effort from them.
Despite there being no allergen info against it on the menu, I thought steak and Fries would be an easy gluten free option but when I asked the server at the counter I was blutlently told there is cross contamination on their grill and they can provide no gaurentees.
As I was out with family and didnt want to ask everyone to change their plans I thought to take a measured risk and go for steak and fries. It was over cooked for a medium steak and for £20 it seemed overpriced. To make things worse the steak and fries were covered in rock salt which took away any taste the food would of had.
I didn't feel comfortable returning my food given the way I was spoken to when enquiring about allergens.
The gluten free beer options were great, top marks to those guys for making the effort 😍

I booked htis for my birthday dinner because they had oysters (which were excellent) and gluten free past options. Besides the oysters, everything besides the oysters was pretty meh, to be honest. The steak my partner ordered was over cooked. The pizza my son ordered was under cooked, and my pasta was good, but nothing I could not have made myself. The chocolate truffles at the end were also very good. Plus, they make sure to route you through the bar before seating you, so you stat drinking early. The service was fine, but it was chaotic and loud.

We hosted my partner's 30th at the Longford Tap (2 doors down and would also recommend!) and had pizzas from Bakehouse for the event. Everything was delicious and went down so well that I went back 20 mins later for 5 more! Came here for a birthday dinner. Place is spacious with a very nice ambience. The drinks menu has quite the variety of cocktails, I can happily recommend the Dark Cherry Cosmo and the Passion fruit Mojito. We had mains and desserts. Most upper £10s to low £20s with streak obviously pricier. I got the swordfish and it was delicious! Very good value for your money. Dessert was a Spiced Pear and Almond Tart which was also delightful. There is a decent selection of Gluten Free options and some vegetarian/vegan options. Slight wait on the main meal but it was somewhat busy and they were very apologetic. The car park is a little small so street parking might be needed. I would highly recommend for a fancy dinner/date night or even just a couple of cocktails at the bar. Will be coming back!
Expect quick seating and attentive service at this lively spot, where fresh flavors and a dedicated menu for diverse diets shine!

This was the first time I've been to the Ivy Asia and I think it's miles better than the normal Ivy where I've been a fair few times. The food is pricey but actually full of flavour and the decor is lovely. Staff are also lovely but had one slight issue where my Dad requested a gluten free beer and they gave him a normal beer, good job he checked it as he's coeliac. If he drank it, it could have made him seriously ill. They was very apologetic but offered nothing, I thought they might have at least knocked it off the £600 bill which was disappointing. Service charge is extortionate. Nice touch bringing a little cake out for my Nan's birthday but wouldn't rush back.
