Toast Breakfast and Lunch, tucked away in Temecula, is a breakfast lover’s dream and the kind of place where you’d feel good about unbuttoning your jeans after a hearty meal—if only we were still living in the age of low-rise pants. This independent spot has a warm, down-to-earth vibe that makes it feel like a cozy breakfast nook straight out of your Pinterest board, minus the DIY anxiety.
The decor is a delightful mix of rustic charm and modern touches, perfect for those “casual brunch with friends” Instagram shots. It’s the kind of place where mason jars make frequent appearances, but thankfully, nobody’s trying to sell you overpriced kombucha. The open layout and soft lighting add to the welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for everything from family gatherings to a quiet meal with a good book.
As for the service, the staff couldn’t have been friendlier if they tried. They were quick to smile, even quicker to refill my coffee, and made excellent menu suggestions without a hint of pretentiousness. When I politely asked for less whipped cream on my Sweet Potato Pumpkin Pancakes, they complied—though I suspect they may have a quota to meet because that whipped cream mountain could have suffocated a small animal. But hey, they tried!
Now, let’s talk about the food. I ordered the Corned Beef Skillet, and let me just say, if this dish could speak, it would say, “Sit down, you’re home now.” The skillet was packed with savory, tender corned beef, crispy potatoes, and fresh veggies, all crowned with a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg. It was the kind of hearty meal that convinces you a nap should follow breakfast, and I’m not mad about it.
The Sweet Potato Pumpkin Pancakes were like autumn on a plate—fluffy, warm, and spiced just right. Though they went a little overboard with the whipped cream, the pancakes themselves were delicious. Each bite tasted like a warm hug from your favorite sweater, and honestly, that’s all I’m looking for in life.
The menu is like a breakfast and lunch choose-your-own-adventure. Whether you’re a die-hard egg enthusiast, a pancake devotee, or just someone trying to figure out if avocado toast is worth the hype (spoiler: it is), you’ll find something to love. They also have a nice variety for those who are gluten-free, vegetarian, or just indecisive.
When it comes to pricing, Toast hits that sweet spot between “treat yourself” and “ok, I can still pay my rent.” The Corned Beef Skillet was around $14, and the Sweet Potato Pumpkin Pancakes were $12—totally reasonable for the portion sizes, which, let’s be honest, are big enough to feed you and your food-stealing friend.
Cleanliness? Spot on. This place was as neat as your mom’s kitchen during Thanksgiving prep, and the bathrooms were equally pristine. I didn’t see any health protocols that would make you want to break into a rendition of “Safety Dance,” but everything felt clean and comfortable.
Overall, Toast Breakfast and Lunch gets my full recommendation, especially if you’re looking for a place that feels like a hug in restaurant form. It’s great for family outings, brunch with friends, or even a solo breakfast with a book. Just watch out for the whipped cream—unless you’re trying to set a world record.
This spot is perfect for anyone craving Americanized Chinese classics, with a buzz for attentive service and must-try lettuce wraps.

Just have to shout out Maya for the amazing service at P.F. Chang’s. They definitely go above and beyond, and that means a lot to us. The food is delicious. The service is friendly, and you can expect an overall great experience. Plus, you can get gluten free options that you can’t get elsewhere. Thanks again for providing an exceptional experience for my family.

Very cute, European vibes. Everything was delicious, including the spicy pineapple margarita, and they were able to substitute French fries for the rice which has pasta, for a gluten free option. I was disappointed they didn't have any vegan gluten free chocolate cheesecake that was on the menu.
Long wait times and no reservations make it tough for larger groups to get a table, even though the experience is highly praised.

Newly diagnosed, highly sensitive gluten allergy. They will place a special gf placard on your table and your plate will be a different color than any non-gf dish. They were so accommodating and all the wine and champagne are gf. I was extremely nervous to eat out. It’s been several hours since my visit and no reaction. Not to mention the food is 10/10. So thankful for this place!

I've been here twice now and twice at the Murrieta locations. The Temecula location is much larger and a great atmosphere to sit, visit, and eat at near the Promanade Mall in Temecula. I love that they have gluten-free and keto options for scones. I must come back and try some of there other coffee drinks as they look very tasty, too❣️ I got the blackberry lavendar gluten-free scones, and I think the other one was Earl Grey butter scone... both very good.

I was here with a big networking group. Everyone received their chicken tostada salad. Unfortunately, due to being gluten-free and highly allergic to the avocado on the salad, I spoke with the waiter who went above and beyond and spoke with the mgr and the chef in the back and they were able to accommodate me with all my dietary restrictions. When my chicken salad came out, it looked similar to everyone else aside from the big shell. It was delicious and filling. The chips and salsa were also a nice touch.
A cool spot for a smoking old fashioned and a sour IPA, with a killer fish taco and a perfectly cooked 1909 burger.

Cool place, large patio where you can watch cars and people go by. Food is good, however severely lacking in dietary restriction options and healthy options. 2nd time there and both times gluten seems to be a mystery to the wait staff. Good craft cocktails.
Charming spot with a lively vibe, echoing ambiance, and accommodating service that leaves everyone loving their experience!

I visited for the first time on June 2nd and used the drive-thru to place my order. I opted for a Ham & Cheese Croissant with light ham, a Hazelnut Divinity Iced Coffee, and a Lemon Poppyseed Gluten-Free Muffin. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavor of my drink. The croissant was warm, buttery, and had a delightful airy crunch. I plan to return, but next time I'll request American cheese. One suggestion I have is to have someone greet customers promptly at the last window, as it took them about 1 to 2 minutes to acknowledge me after I pulled forward. The person who took my order was thorough and didn't rush me, so a big thank you to the crew who prepared my order!
Went to the weekend brunch. Food and wine was great. Loved the service. Lots of gluten free choices though sometimes you gotta ask what is and what isn't.

December 2022. Weekday late afternoon.
Busy and fully staffed with a great teamwork atmosphere. Kudos to our server Dolly - super friendly, helpful and efficient. We three had burgers 1-regular and two Impossible Burgers - all tasty and as ordered. One with gluten free bun. One salad (torn lettuce only - what's up with that?). Fries were done well and served in a cup that kept them warmer longer.
We'll be back.
Experience attentive service and a welcoming vibe where the staff goes the extra mile to ensure you feel safe and cared for.

Brian was an absolute gem. Went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we ordered. I have a gluten sensitivity and twice we got food from the kitchen that was not prepared gluten free and twice he was the one that noticed before we could even say anything and took it back to the kitchen to ensure we got our gluten sensitive selections. AMAZING service.

I loved everything about the place, except I had to modify my food to be gluten-free and dairy-free, so the salmon was somewhat dry and lacked flavor. I wish they had more to accommodate my diet without modification.

Really really good food! Best calzone I’ve had to date. The wine was really good too. I had the Malbec. Gluten free pasta and pizza options. Sitting outside and watching the activity go by in Temecula is a good way to spend a meal. The bathrooms are clean and cute! The only thing that was odd is that there wasn’t any house water? We could have purchased still or sparkling but tap was not available. That didn’t ruin the experience though, the food was worth it. And all of the servers were wonderful!

This is an iconic fixture in Temecula Old Tiwn since 1927. The food has been upgraded. And the service is the best of old-fashioned friendliness and hard work. We had the smoked brisket, which was melt in your mouth tender and just dry enough to crave the amazing BBQ sauces. And we couldn't leave without taking a monster cinnamon roll. But I wish they had more gluten-free options.
Experience a quirky spot with a charming ancient porch, an extensive cocktail bar, and a unique ambiance that'll leave you wanting more.

I like this place. Great food. Great service. They have a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. They only need a gluten free bun and dedicated gluten free fryer to be perfect

Small kindnesses: simple gestures that can unexpectedly elevate the day you are experiencing.
While it may seem as if they’ve become extinct during this current era, they still surround us (but often require us to maintain an open heart and mind in order to receive them).
The Crafted Scone is certainly a believer in small kindnesses. Just check out the personalized messages we discovered on the lids of each beverage ordered by our Review Team. “Smile”, “We ❤️ You A Latte”, and “Dance Today” are among the affirming messages you may also receive during your visit. What, is it the Christmas season already? Or is today “Be Kind To Other Humans Day?” Either way, you’re bound to benefit from a little infusion of giddy-up in your step when you visit this place.
Sure, a visit here is warranted (if for no other reason than the positivity), but have you gandered at their scones? During our visit the featured flavors included: Cranberry Orange, Double Chocolate, Lavender Lemon, Cherry Almond, Salted Vanilla Brown Butter, Apple Cinnamon Crumb, and Almond Coconut.
We had ours warmed before we enjoyed them and although I never considered myself “a scone guy”, I’m beginning to wonder if I may have been wrong about that.
Feeling adventurous? Then why not give a “Sconewich” a whirl? Those offerings include a Ham, Turkey, Caprese, Tuna, or Monte Cristo.
Gluten Free options are available and the menu rotates (so be sure to visit regularly).
And that’s…Henry’s Take.

First review:Excellent coffee and service.
Second review. I'm on a mission to try everything here. Today I had the Mexican Mocha and a gluten free maple donut. Service was excellent again and atmosphere too. Both the Mocha and the donut were delicious.
Talk about your fresh smell of baked bread, this place has it from bread to other fresh baked goods. We had the cinnamon swirl bread, the baked large cookies chocolate peppermint brownie, and the salted caramel cookies forget about it (meaning it was awesome) I highly suggest this place for your fresh bake goods, and I believe they have gluten free too. Rock on Great Harvest Bread Co.....
The place impresses with stunning drink presentations and delicious house-made desserts, but missing options may leave some diners wanting more.

Came here for gluten free options, but they only take away sauces, which leaves you with a very plain dish. No gluten free bread option as should be expected at a high-end restaurant when bringing a bread bowl for others at the table. My husband did enjoy the bread, he doesn't require GF. Drinks were great! Amazing presentation on Old Fashion with a great smoke flavor. Blood orange Margarita was great, and I'm picky. 2 different gluten free dessert options Creme Brule or Smore Brownie. They make the whole brownie and Graham cracker crumbs in house and guaranteed truly GF. Brownie was delicious and definitely recommended.
My brother and I had breakfast here. We had to eat out in the parking lot, but the staff was amazing and the food delicious. They also have really great gluten free bread options. Highly recommended!
First visit here. Had the Paradise with Pitaya, which came out this bright pink in color. It's a very neutral fruit with a slight tang. The fruit combination in my container was refreshing and filling.
The granola used was a mix of something I didn't catch from the owner but clearly remember it being gluten free.
Looking forward to creating my own bowl when I go there again.
I didn’t know that this restaurant offered some great vegan options as well as gluten free. The restaurant is located in what seems to be someone ‘s nice backyard. They have a fire & water feature at the front and also in the middle of the seating area. The place has a pub feel and the service is excellent. Our server remembered our names throughout our dinner. I like that they ask you about your food preferences as well as allergies.
I tried the fried green tomatoes appetizer which was vegan. I strongly recommend their aioli sauce which includes a touch of habanero. I also tried their Bella! Lettuce! Tomato dish which is a vegan take on the BLT except it’s packed with portobello mushrooms. It was delicious!
Make sure you try their fries and get extra aioli sauce on the side. You can also get the mango kamboucha drink without the alcohol if you’re craving a non-alcoholic beverage that’s not a soda or tea. Enjoy mostly plants.
Always friendly baristas, which is why they are always busy. They are quick and accurate. They will even design a drink for you, if you know the ingredients. Nice! Very clean and lots of gluten free snacks to choose from.
i ordered a grilled chicken sandwich on a multigrain bun. when we got our order, it didn't look like two sandwiches so we returned it and said it wasnt for us. we wait 10+ mins then the manager asks to see my receipt. he checks my receipt and insists the original bag/order was ours. he gives me an extra order of fries for our long wait.
i got home to find that i have a deconstructed sandwich and was given individually packaged gluten free bread. the rest of the sandwich ingredients are in a separate bowl/container. lettuce soggy, cheese a mush
both the multigrain brioche bun and pepperjack cheese are extra $ and yet 🤷🏻♀️
Me and my wife went in on Sunday April 11th, 2021. My wife has a severe allergy to wheat. She saw Gluten free cupcakes and asked the young lady behind the counter if the cupcakes were wheat free, she said she didn't know and had to ask her supervisor, she returned less than 10 seconds later and said they were wheat free. We returned home less than 10 minutes later, my wife ate the cupcake, and very quickly realized it had wheat in it. She had a severe allergic reaction. The carelessness of this place is absolutely unacceptable, my wife could have lost her life. I am handling this situation on my own, but wanted everyone to know.
Chill vibes in a western-style town with great outdoor seating, plus tasty veggies and a pet-friendly atmosphere.
