Getting gluten-free is hard. Being Celiac, I found 4 items on the menu. they tried to be accommodating but did not understand issues cross contamination. We didn't eat here.

I had the pleasure of dining at Bon Appétit in Dunedin today on a double date, and it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the ambience was lovely, with a beautiful ocean view even from our table indoors (the patio was full, but we were graciously seated at the best table inside). The staff were impeccably dressed, professional, and welcoming, and the bathrooms were spotless—a small detail that says a lot about the establishment.
Our server, Ryan, was truly exceptional. Friendly, helpful, and accommodating, he made our dining experience seamless and enjoyable.
We started with drinks: I ordered the Ocean Breeze cocktail, which was perfectly balanced. My husband enjoyed a Negroni, our friend had a Chardonnay, and her husband had an Old Fashioned. A small critique for the Old Fashioned—it came with multiple ice cubes instead of the traditional single cube, which wasn’t to his preference, but the drink itself was fine.
For food, we shared the house salad, the octopus appetizer, and the bouillabaisse as my main dish. Our friends opted for the tuna and lobster stack and the grouper sandwich. My girlfriend has dairy and gluten intolerances, and Ryan went above and beyond to ensure her dietary needs were met.
Overall, the food was very good, with just a couple of notes: the octopus dish, while flavorful, has changed over the years. It arrived with a buttery sauce and lots of vegetables but not much octopus. When I requested a simplified version without the buttery sauce, Ryan quickly replaced it—still tasty, but again, light on the octopus. On the other hand, the bouillabaisse was phenomenal, and my friends had no complaints about their dishes—they thoroughly enjoyed their meals.
Bon Appétit impressed me with its beautiful atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious food. While there were minor tweaks to preferences, the overall experience was excellent. I would absolutely return!
A cozy spot with a welcoming vibe, great seasonal drinks, and a family-run charm that locals love to revisit.

First, I can not rave enough about Kookie Krums and it’s vibrant owner, Georgia! Her warmth and dedication to her customers has just endeared her to us and all who have come into contact with her. She makes everyone feel important and significant. Second, Georgia and her talented chef, Bill, have created a gluten-free and regular-fare menu that defines YUMMY! Ok, I have Celiacs and have to maintain a strict gluten-free diet and today I had my first crab cake in years. Omg, it was chock full of crab and beautifully seasoned and prepared. It was served with the tastiest coleslaw. Omg…so delicious!! My significant other does not have to follow a gluten-free diet and he eats at Kookie Krums at least once a week. He’s always raving about his menu selections. Please, people…make sure you treat your taste buds. Come to Kookie Krums! Thank you, Georgia for being here. ❤️From her dedicated fan, loving and loyal fan Donna.

How have I not been here before?! Went there this evening with my teen daughter. We arrived shortly after 5 before it got busy but it started to fill up rather quickly. Even when the place was full, there was a chill relaxed vibe about the place and not loud so that you couldn’t carry on conversation. Very cool atmosphere reminiscent of the era.
Our server, Scott, was exceptional. He was friendly, attentive and efficient. Refills arrived before we even had a chance to ask for them! Arrival of food and drinks was very timely.
Being gluten free, my food options are a little limited but they do clearly identify the gluten free items on the menu. I had the Tuscan chicken with garlic mash and green beans. A very large serving of 2 chicken breasts that were moist and tasty. My daughter had the meatloaf and garlic mash and she said it was ‘to die for’ and she practically licked her plate. I felt the prices were very reasonable and we certainly left satiated with the ample portion sizes.
I noticed the bar area looked very cool, so next time I plan to sit at the bar (without teenager) and enjoy a craft cocktail and check out the brisket!
The dessert display looked incredible but no gluten free options there….but I was already plenty full anyway!
My only recommendation would be to expand gluten free options, but of course that is just self-serving of me.
Overall a very enjoyable dining experience and we will definitely be back.
Expect a fantastic bistro vibe with spectacular dishes and a nice selection of drinks that will leave you delightfully surprised.

I have not experienced across-the-board greatness on every single meal and appetizer dish like this in a decade other than at Chris Ponte’s signature name restaurant, Tampa. I have repeated this several times to others in the 2 weeks that this Chef is going to the big time. Their wine list was pretty simple, but it covered a lot of regions, and priced well. The food, I found so many gluten-free options and they were absolutely amazing. From scallops to seafood medley, two beef, short rib…all 7 entrees were a perfect 10. my only reason the atmosphere was four stars, and not five, I think one of the huge vent fans was not working and my eyes were immediately sensing the smoke inside the dining room.
Although masquerading as a strip mall eatery, be prepared to be delighted and gastronomically surprised. Artisan cooking with flair was not what was expected but certainly delivered. We had the BLT (on gluten free bread) and the lobster Benedict - one of the best ever!! So good to find excellence so close to home. Oh, and all that at incredibly reasonable price. Amazing!
Conveniently located inside a Mobil station with easy parking and a drive-thru, it's a perfect pit stop before heading to Honeymoon Island.

We are over the moon that a kahwa has opened in Dunedin. We love their coffee and even buy it from the store to brew at home. Its so nice having one to stop at if we are out an about. They have oat milk which is always a plus and a drive through. They offer a gluten free banana muffin and brownie. I do wish the g free muffin changed with the seasons. Employees are always friendly. No frozen drinks which bummed the kiddo out, but he now loves their decaf lattes.

Such a lovely Tea Bar. I have been twice and enjoyed my experience very much. The tea is delightful! So many varieties to choose from. I am very happy to say that they have gluten free options. The food and treats are delicious! I will definitely be going back again!
What a wonderful new gem downtown Dunedin! Great food, great service, dog-friendly and to my surprise they offer gluten free bread, which is a huge plus for myself and many. This will definitely be my new go-to spot for coffee or a bite to eat. The covered patio is simply perfect!
