Had the BEST experience here. Trying to find a restaurant that offers a gluten free menu as well as regular with no discernible differences in taste is 1 in a million and buzzard Billy’s is exactly that. Any time we ever come back it will be good at BB. Kristen, Kela and shiree are the best servers EVER!
With a modern vibe and unique specials, this Des Moines hotspot is perfect for everything from brunch to celebrations, delivering consistently good experiences.

My chicken chiabatta sandwich was a bit dry and the food selection was limited, but they did have substantial gluten free options. The setting and staff were very nice, making it an overall excellent experience.

This bakery is vegan and gluten free, and everything I've had from here is absolutely amazing! The people working are always warm and welcoming as well, definitely recommend:) and don't forget to check out the antiques upstairs!

Food was delicious and decently priced, so many gluten free options. Service was quick and simple nice but not always checking up on you but consistent service overall. Kinda nosy but private as well. Definitely would come back as an outastater 👏
Bright, cozy spot near downtown with a fresh, delicious menu and local art that’s definitely worth the wait on busy mornings.

Great atmosphere and service. However, would not recommend to those with celiac disease despite the gluten free menu options. Clearly was either cooked with gluten containing items and heavy cross contact, or my 5 year old with celiac disease was served gluten pancakes despite confirming and re-confirming.
Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with a fantastic outdoor play area for kids and unique flavors that'll keep everyone happy and entertained.

Loved the gluten free orange chicken here! Plenty of gf options to choose from. They also have cbd/thc infused drinks here. Outside is a large outdoor patio where kids can play too while waiting for food. Very friendly service, we'll be back!

I have been here several times recently for brunch. This place knows what they are doing and they are really good at it: the atmosphere, the decor, the food, the service. The lattes here are the best in the area, hands down. Even the cups and saucers are beautiful and add to my enjoyment of the coffee drinks. I want the exact cups for my own home. The seasonal latte flavors are creative and never overly sweet. I do love a pumpkin spice latte, and St. Kilda has the best. I was interested in a seasonal mocha and was hesitant to order it for fear it would be too sweet, but the server told me more about it so I decided to try it. It was the best mocha I’ve ever had with the perfect balance of flavors and just the right amount of sweetness. Everything that’s a part of the Big Aussie Breakfast is prepared to perfection: thick cut bacon, delicious blistered roasted tomatoes, perfectly crispy house-made bread. Even the gluten-free bread is excellent. Last week my boyfriend got a hashbrown on the side and it was the best hashbrown I’ve ever had - a lovely soft texture on the inside and perfectly crispy all the way around on the outside. The last 3 times I’ve eaten there, we’ve had the same server. I love her! Very friendly, relatable, and a bit quirky in the best possible way. After our last visit, I decided St. Kilda in Valley Junction is my favorite place for brunch.
Delicious food. The staff there are amazing and treat you with so much respect. They also have markers to tell you if something is gluten free or if it is vegetarian, so it really helps out people with specific diets.
Experience a unique vibe with a super helpful owner, cool decor, and a focus on natural health that keeps everyone coming back!

Can not say enough good things about our experience at Kava DSM!!! From the AMAZING gluten free/dairy free waffle to the dairy free gelato, to the decor and super kind owner! It was our first time visiting and he went above and beyond to help us understand everything he offered and how it can help me with inflammation! I will definitely be reaching out to his wife also who is a natural health practitioner! I would give them 100 stars if I could! We will definitely be back very soon ❤️
An online ordering gem with staff so patient you'll adore, praised for its fun vibe accumulated over years in the East Village, and kept spotless.

Update: Mike Larsen contacted me several times to apologize, get feedback, and to locate the record of the sale. The meal bill was fully refunded. He said he spoke with his people to improve the experience. Everyplace can have an off night. I would give them another chance.
Original review: Poor service, got the order wrong, sandwich was sparsely covered with contents making it mostly stale bread, salad dressing wasn't mixed, salad had wonton stips which are not Gluten-free even though the order was for Gluten-free. Expensive meal we threw away and went elsewhere to eat.
Unique pizza options and a fun atmosphere make this spot a must-visit, especially with an inviting patio for summer hangouts!

The gluten-free pizza was decent. My wife said her burger rocked. It was the Frisco melt, and I had the pasta. It was a penne pasta with a southwest Alfredo sauce, plus chicken and tortilla strips. It was fantastic.
A cozy spot with amazing baked goods and great coffee that brightens your day and keeps you fueled for whatever life throws your way!

I would give it 5 stars on food if there were more gluten-free options, especially in the bakery portion. But for non-gluten sensitive people, their baked goods are amazing!! Cinnamon rolls were my favorite when I could eat them. A big thank you to the staff for sharing that even the gluten-free monster cookies are cross-contaminated. All around, great coffee shop.
I have thoroughly enjoyed everything I've gotten from Ritual. A co-worker and I will get lunch here for our lunch meetings every once in awhile and we've never been disappointed. I personally love the vegetarian and gluten free options. Their coffee is also always very well made, not bitter, not overly sugar-laden, perfect!
A fantastic catering experience that excels in service, professionalism, and quality, making event planning a breeze.

Utilized Trellis as my catering company for a wedding venue at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Gardens. From the start of the experience to the end, the service was fantastic. We worked with Paige as a our coordinator and found her to be prompt, professional, and an overall pleasure to work with.
Pricing and value is competitive with other catering companies. We received several quotes and Trellis won out due to their quality of food and overall experience of dealing with the staff. They also offer options that covers any and all dietary restrictions, which was great for a few of our guests who were gluten free and vegetarian. The food was fresh, delicious, and we were able to take home the leftovers to reduce waste.
Would recommend to friends and family if they are looking for a solid catering company with professional service and high quality food. It made for stress free planning for a life event that is usually stressful to plan.
I keep wanting the service and food to be better, but time after time I have the same poor experience. In the three times I’ve eaten here, I sit at the bar and yet, it can take up to 10 minutes to even be greeted! Today I chose to build my own burger and a side salad over fries. I asked for my burger without a bun as I am gluten sensitive- it came with a bun. The side salad was a few pieces of cheap iceberg lettuce with a pile of roasted tomatoes thrown on top- that’s all. I chose not to eat it- my burger was undercooked but did have a large handful of pickles to go with it?! So, here was wasted a bun, lettuces, tomatoes, pickles and most of a burger. It’s disappointing. All of that costs $17.00- the server thought that was too expensive- so she took $2.00 off without me mentioning my unhappiness with the meal. That tells me she was probably embarrassed by it too. A woman next to me ordered a glass of wine- which she had to send back twice as both glasses had lipstick remains on it. It just makes me sad.
These are easy fixes, and could make one of the only choices in the airport a much more enjoyable experience!
We stopped here on a long drive from Colorado to Chicago, and were not disappointed! I had an oat milk cappuccino, and my husband had a lovely mocha. My only wish is for more gluten free treats, but the coffee is outstanding, so still 5 stars!
I was there just to have a place to wait for a ride home after my car was towed to a garage. I don't eat gluten, so no donuts for me. I ordered a coffee and fried potatoes. The potatoes were not very good, but the coffee was. I was there for over 3 hrs. I drank a lot of coffee and chai. The girls behind the counter were so gracious and concerned. I received service beyond expectations and in a very clean dining area an bathroom. The donuts and menu did look very, very, very good!
On a Monday night our waitress was great. Was dining with friend with celiac disease and they were amazingly accommodating. The mushrooms were excellent. And the drinks were strong but not over the top.
A go-to spot for complex flavors and countless options, plus it's nestled in a fun grocery store for delicious finds.

I’ve been going here since we first move to Des Moines & lived near by. And now that we live further away we still love coming here for our Pho!! We’ve tried some other pho, but 515 is just really complex in its flavors has so many options. Love the tendon one! Yum! Cfresh groceries where they are located is a really fun store to grab delicious foods. *Pho is Gluten-free !! A plus if you are GF like me !

New World Kitchen has been an incredible blessing to our family. My husband has lyme disease and his food options are limited. My husband needs to eat foods that are dairy free, anti-inflammatory and gluten free with clean and simple ingredients. New World Kitchen checks all those boxes!! Additionally, the food flavors are absolutely phenomenal and unlike anything I've experienced before. The chefs at NWK are amazing and how they mingle the ingredients together to create a gourmet experience Is so impressive!! Thank you New World Kitchen for special treats and meals every week!!
Always willing to listen for special orders, i.e. gluten free. Just need ask. Bartender is great and good conversation!-if you want to chat. Food hot and delicious. Combos husband and I can share with G.F restrictions.
Great place with good beverages & food. Try the Sweet Georgia Brown iced or hot (I wish they did it Ice-blended too.) or the Café Borgia! Try the breakfast casserole or the taco salad! Good bakery treats too, even a few that are gluten-free (much appreciated). Book a meeting room or gather with friends. Can get busy with college students and locals though, so consider booking a room to ensure space for more than a few people.
Had our anniversary dinner here and everything was great. I have celiac and they were very accommodating and knowledgeable about the gluten free options. Great service and atmosphere.
