Staff were very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient to explain their Gluten Free bread, and homemade chips, etc for me. I'm actually asymptomatic celiac, but always state I have a "severe gluten allergy" when asking for assistance. They actually asked me when ordering/checking out, "preference or celiac?" So, I didn't ask for their safety procedures. I had a turkey Reuben with Cole slaw on it (substituting the Swiss for Havarti). It was fantastic! The meat is thinly sliced, and I prefer thicker slices, but it was so flavorful. They had 6" cherry or apple pies (in boxes), as well as some brownies and stuff. The cherry was delicious! Tart cherries, with a lovely crumble on top. It has roasted almonds in the crumble, and possibly slightly under the topping. Worth the stop!!! We were passing through town during their annual cherry festival.

This place is AMAZING! The ingredients, the instant care and caution about my celiac allergy and the vibe! The main girl Liberty was SO sweet when I forgot to mention gf granola and made me a new bowl while gifting me the other one for free to give to a friend. This place is chill and open. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone, but especially if you have celiac! My girlfriend and I will be coming back weekly! Thank you guys!

Don't forget you can get ice cream to accompany whatever pie you like. Sooo worth it!!! Of course the pies are absolutely delicious! Lesser-known is that they have a lot of gluten-free options and their sandwiches and soups are also very good.

Prices were good, food and drinks were delicious and the portions were pretty substantial! My friend is gluten sensitive so we were very happy they had the GF Buckwheat crepes as an option. It was easy to take our leftovers to go in the paper sleeve. The patio seating area was so cute.

We used Peace, Love & Little Donuts for our wedding reception and are so happy we did! All of our guests raved about the flavors and the ability to grab donuts whenever they wanted throughout the evening. We were even able to do some gluten-free donuts which was a must for my wife with gluten intolerance. All the donuts were beautifully decorated, delivered safely, and displayed on various platters. We highly recommend!

I love this location! Having celiac doesn’t allow me to eat out most places but I have never had an issue at this location. They always go in the back and get new utensils, clean the grill, and change gloves. They are very friendly and always complete our order quickly and with accuracy.

This lovely restaurant has become a go-to for us since discovering it during restaurant week several years ago. It has been a great place for me as someone with a significant gluten allergy. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff wonderful, and the food beautifully prepared and presented. Tonight, the food was still delicious, staff were still amazing, and the atmosphere still stunning— but the ratio of food to price and lack of options to bolster our meal with added sides left us sorely disappointed (this is coming from a TC native recently relocated to the Naples, Florida area— one of the highest priced places in Florida. Having dined at multiple places on 5th Avenue in Naples, we did not feel Artisan’s menu nor the prices were suited to TC.) We will have to find alternatives while in Traverse City as we left quite disappointed. (As an aside, my husband and I split everything we got, an appetizer [$18 for a bowl of soup] and scallops [3 medallions on a bed of beautifully crafted sauces and thinly sliced fruit for $46. No drinks or dessert.] We often share our food and never feel lacking.) If money to amount of food is not a concern to you, we most certainly recommend this restaurant.

We just used Sugar 2 Salt to cater our daughter’s wedding. We could not be more thrilled with the service and food quality. We feel like shouting it from the roof tops. To start, the owner, Stephanie, was incredibly easy to work with. She listened to the ideas of our daughter and her partner but offered suggestions of her own to make the food experience truly spectacular. For instance, she suggested that we consider an oyster bar during the cocktail reception. This very reasonably priced addition was a huge hit. It added such a nice touch of elegance. When we asked about a late night snack for our guests she suggested that we serve it back at the resort where our guests were staying (rather than the wedding venue) and her team put together an impressive spread of pork sliders and truffle fries with loads of topping options. Our guests were so delighted when they arrived back at the resort and were greeted by this tasty feast. We also wanted to offer cherry pie as a dessert along with the wedding cake. No problem — S2S picked up and stored the pies and then placed a small slice together with each cake serving. Finally, and importantly, the food was delicious! Chef Jonathan created a fantastic dinner including a salad featuring apple cider poached pears and goat cheese, brisket with mushrooms and red wine pan jus as well as chimichurri, fish cakes with the most delightful tarragon aioli, roast vegetables and root vegetable gratin with crispy rainbow chard. We had several guests who consider themselves foodies and could not stop raving about how amazing all the food was. It was truly superb. Finally, S2S was very accommodating for those with dietary preferences, whether vegetarian, vegan, gluten free or lactose intolerant. Nothing was too difficult to handle. We cannot recommend S2S more highly to anyone looking for an event caterer. They definitely exceeded our high expectations and then some. Thank you S2S for your contributions to a magical affair!

This place is amazing! The breakfast and pastries are definitely worth trying. I didn't even realize that my donut was gluten-free, it was so delicious. The coffee was also very well made, and the service was great. The small details, like turning the handle of the coffee cup when setting it down, show that the staff is highly trained and hospitable. Great atmosphere. We had the buscuits and gravy and salmon Benedict. I was really excited they had gluten free English muffins and they were pretty good. The dirty chai tea latte was so good I got another one for the road. Kind of a bummer they charge $1.00 more for oat milk. Our server Kaitlyn was quick, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely come back next time we’re in the area.

A nice Espresso Bay with a good variety of coffees and treats. We were glad they sold Third Coast gluten free items as well as a plethora of gluten filled items. The roasting room was new to us but welcomed none the less. It’s a coffee shop that does what it should.

The recently opened pop-up space is definitely charming & well done. It is exciting to see some newly inspired design added to the excitement of Front Street in TC. The selection of pastries was abundant - seems like something for everyone here as I walked out with four items just for myself (even multiple gluten free options!) I was excited to be sipping coffee from Panther who I have also had and enjoyed at Mission Proper in Old Mission (locations in TC and Miami?!) I am excited to see where this pop-up goes.

We absolutely loved working with Potter's Bakery for our August wedding! Kathy and Andrea made great recommendations and were so easy to communicate with! Our wedding cake definitely tasted as good as it looked. Furthermore, we had two guests who were gluten-free and we ordered Potter's gluten-free vanilla cupcakes which were met with high praise.

My husband and I enjoyed breakfast at NoBo Mrkt and it was so yummy!! We both got the breakfast hash with sausage and a coffee each. We are gluten free and the menu was very clear concerning allergens, which is very important to us. The service was quick and friendly. This is such a cute, trendy place that would be fun to get a cocktail at in the evening.

Tonight was my first experience at the Burrow TC. I asked the waitress for info on what menu options didn’t contain gluten and she couldn’t give me an answer. All she said was “we cannot accommodate celiacs” I have celiac disease so I made the decision to leave. She was unapologetic and it was a pretty awkward experience. I’ve never been turned away from a restaurant before.

I absolutely love Oakwood! Not only is the food absolutely BANGIN’ - the staff is always kind and welcoming, always answering any questions you have, and then there is the owners! The owners are the sweetest people I’ve ever met! They care deeply about their crew and their customers! Anytime I’m there I’m always recognized and greeted. They openly voice appreciation for me being a regular and they don’t need to because their food speaks for itself. You want an above and beyond experience… this is THE SPOT! Great breakfast and coffee spot!! The Golden milk latte is amazing. I’m gluten free and can’t do cilantro and they made me a burrito bowl with the cilantro crema on the side. The bowl was a really generous portion and so good!
