The Path Plant Based Metaphysical Café is truly a treasure in every sense of the word. Their food is always delicious, but what sets them apart is the incredible care and thoughtfulness they show toward their customers.
Recently, I asked if they could make their gluten-free nuts and bolts mix—a seasonal favorite of mine—and they joyfully agreed, even though they no longer focus exclusively on gluten-free offerings. When I picked it up, they mentioned they had trouble sourcing some ingredients and had to improvise, but they still put so much love into making it. They even gifted it to me, which was such an unexpected and heartwarming gesture.
This kindness turned my entire day around. It reminded me how special this café is, not just for their food (which is amazing—I even got to enjoy one of their gluten-free pretzels, my favorite!), but for the heart they pour into everything they do.
If you’re looking for a place with tasty plant-based treats and a team of people who genuinely care, The Path is the place to be. Thank you for always going the extra mile and for being such a blessing to your community!
A hidden gem with a magical vibe, offering a unique menu and showcasing local artists' work, perfect for a relaxed outing.

The servers don’t check on you after getting your food, and don’t come around to refill my coffee or water. I needed a steak knife for cutting my food and only saw someone when I was almost done my food (I had to struggle cutting with a butter knife). It’s a chore to walk through narrow Isles and a sea of people to get to the bathroom. My wife can’t have bread, and tried to substitute for something other than toast, the waitress said that would be $6 so my wife ask for a deduction for not having toast, “Nope we don’t do that here” nice way to treat someone who can’t eat gluten We had to ask twice for the bill. The water jug had floaties in it, when we said something the Waitress just Stared at it and didn’t say or do anything.

Great selection of food. They have a lot of Gluten free options as well as vegan. Server went out of her way to help me out with my dietary issues. I highly recommend the Gold Digger dessert. It is amazing. I also ate the Salmon Zen bowl. I was actually surprised how tasty it was. The salmon was great. Not to expensive either.
Experience a vibrant ambiance with cultural decor and great movies playing; a cozy spot that keeps you coming back for more.

I've been here at least 5 times in total with 2 different people within 2 weeks. The ambiance was unique in contrast to Grande Prairies typical commercial restaurant selection. This one had culture. I like the colour arrangement and decor. And there is often a movie playing without subtitles, which I enjoy. The food is tasty, and is nicely priced. I liked their chai tea especially. The staff is pleasant. And if they are busy, or out of view. Be patient, or ring the bell. They seem to be accomodating. They do mention speaking to staff about food allergies. However, an improvement that would be nice to see is allergy symbols or letters designating food that is free from: Gluten, dairy, etc. I will definitely be back. Even if just for their tea :)
State and Main serves your typical American food. It was busy on a Friday night and played lively music. The restaurant is rustic but modern and I would say lively. Wooden decor, booths, Mason jar cups. Similar to Rogue or Browns Social House.
Its very clean. The food was decent, the prices about what you would expect. I had a French Dip with French onion soup. It was okay. 16 to 20 bucks for an entree. $40/person if you get an appy, entree, drink and tip. Staff was friendly. Food took 30 minutes. They also serve burgers, sandwiches, fish n chips, salads, wings etc.
Gluten sensitive and vegetarian options available. Serves alcohol.
