My wife and I had lunch here on a weekday. If you are staying at once of the resorts on the beach in HB this is a short walk. Plenty of parking (the restaurant validates). I had 3 tacos which were generously sized. They were amazing! Chicken Tinga, Grilled fish, and barbecued pulled pork. You can mix and match whatever you want. Service was great and they were. able to accommodate me being Celiac Gluten Free. Will be back

From the moment we sat down, the service was friendly and attentive, and the vibe was warm and nostalgic—classic diner decor with a modern touch. The highlight for me? The gluten-free pancakes. Not only were they fluffy and flavorful, but the staff went above and beyond by cooking them in bacon grease instead of peanut oil at my request. I called it “Canadian style” — and it was deliciously spot-on. Paired with extra crispy bacon and hearty hash browns, it was the kind of breakfast that sticks with you in the best way. Our table was filled with generous portions, and everything we tried—from the corned beef hash to the buttermilk stacks—was cooked to perfection. I was a regular some time ago at this BJ's location and recently revisited with my east coast boyfriend to show him the famous pizookie(or as he calls it "pazonka" lol)!! We were very pleased with the attention and care from our server Aprill *with two LL's ;)* She was extremely patient with my indecisiveness and was very helpful with finding the right substitutions for a fellow veg-head!! I ordered the peanut soby noodles with NO chicken ;) and Joe was definitely satisfied with the gluten free bbq chicken-less pizza!! Service has for sure taken a turn for the better since I was last here! It looks like their management must've stepped up their game! Great job BJ's on Beach n Edinger!! :P

I used to love this place and hadn't been here in quite some time. Having celiac, I am always trying to find places where my regular eating friends can also enjoy what they want. It was not busy at all this day, yet it still seems to take forever to be greeted. The atmosphere in there feels dead and stagnant. It isn't just this location; they all need an energy face lift. CPK is one of the very few places where they have a certified GF kitchen area. I was surprised that the server wasn't very knowledgeable regarding the gf foods they offer. It also is surprising that they can not do any alternatives to the things they offer on the gf menu. Want mushrooms on the gf pizza? Forget it. Prefer a white sauce instead of red? Forget it. Just Margarita, cheese, or BBQ chicken. What if I want a veggie pizza with white sauce? I don't understand why these simple things can not just be added to that part of the kitchen and kept gluten-free. Why haven't they stepped up their gf game and added a gf bread to offer their gf guests? In addition to all of this, it is shocking that they do not offer ANY gluten-free desserts! I mean, come on! And ice cream doesn't count. The manager was very kind and knowledgeable. However, this is a restaurant I will probably never come back to or recommend. They seem to be stuck back in the 90's, early 2000's.

Had such a lovely time with my girl friends sharing apps and entres! I am gluten free and they were so accommodating and offered many options. Food is very healthy and I felt so great after eating here! We came for wine Wednesday and it was perfect for girls night… such a good place to hang close to the beach

Very knowledgeable staff, excited to see gluten free options as I am celiac. Our server RJ also knew other dishes that could be prepared gluten free. I ordered the chefs special sea bass and it was amazing. It also came out before the rest of our family’s dishes and the staff indicated it was for the person with the gluten allergy. That always makes me feel reassured. All of our food was delicious, awesome atmosphere. Highly recommend!!!

Super cute place. Food was not great. Steak was hard to chew. The swordfish tasted like a frozen patty from Costco. We decided we would not go back. They were good about Gluten Free. The mashed potatoes were the only good food. Haha

Me and my husband have been here three times had the best experience but oh my god this time was horrific!!!! The waiter asked us if there were any allergies that they needed to know. I told him my husband has a very bad dairy allergy to double check even triple check everything. So we ordered two chicken burritos and plain guacamole. Then they bring the guacamole out with CHEESE ON TOP…I’m sorry but I’ve seen dumb things but this was villager shit. Dairy could end my husbands life and to have cheese sitting right on top of a dish when we already expressed he has an allergy is nuts. So they apologize and bring another out along with a burritos and wow it was so slow in this place dead. It’s a Wednesday at 6 PM….and the chicken is burnt in the burritos will be providing picture proof on how terrible it was. I simply got the 18 dollar burritos to go because I only ate half of it and I wanted to show everyone what quality this place is. I never not finish a burrito Mexican food is my favorite. Anyways next the waiter comes back asking us if we ordered a kids quesadilla and apologized when we said we didn’t and he said sorry he will take it off the bill or something at this point me and my husband are outraged. Next we ask for a gluten free vodka and the bartender says he can’t do it but the waiter brings over a bottle of Tito’s and shows us the label and says gluten free which we wanted we said thank you to him couldn’t believe the bartender doesn’t know vodka! Next we ask for the check our plan was to stay a lot longer get drunk since we don’t work tomorrow well plans changed after this horrific experience. So we get the check I look at the bill 115 dollars for two burritos two drinks and wait what two guacamoles when we only had one. So again another mistake they forgot we didn’t want the cheese guacamole so they tried charging us for that and additional one. I mean seriously you don’t check the bill before handing it to a customer what if I paid without looking like most people do when coming to a nice restaurant. I don’t know if management changed but when we came here on thanksgiving it was wonderful experience. They took my husbands allergy seriously made accommodations were very nice and professional. This time was so awful that I don’t think we will ever come back. This was my first time not tipping and breaks my heart to do so since I was a waiter when I was younger but this awful experience I couldn’t do something that wasn’t even close earned. My husband used to be a general manger for many food places and this was shocking and disturbing.
