My wife and I had lunch here on a weekday. If you are staying at once of the resorts on the beach in HB this is a short walk. Plenty of parking (the restaurant validates). I had 3 tacos which were generously sized. They were amazing! Chicken Tinga, Grilled fish, and barbecued pulled pork. You can mix and match whatever you want. Service was great and they were. able to accommodate me being Celiac Gluten Free. Will be back

I was a regular some time ago at this BJ's location and recently revisited with my east coast boyfriend to show him the famous pizookie(or as he calls it "pazonka" lol)!! We were very pleased with the attention and care from our server Aprill *with two LL's ;)* She was extremely patient with my indecisiveness and was very helpful with finding the right substitutions for a fellow veg-head!! I ordered the peanut soby noodles with NO chicken ;) and Joe was definitely satisfied with the gluten free bbq chicken-less pizza!! Service has for sure taken a turn for the better since I was last here! It looks like their management must've stepped up their game! Great job BJ's on Beach n Edinger!! :P

I used to love this place and hadn't been here in quite some time. Having celiac, I am always trying to find places where my regular eating friends can also enjoy what they want. It was not busy at all this day, yet it still seems to take forever to be greeted. The atmosphere in there feels dead and stagnant. It isn't just this location; they all need an energy face lift. CPK is one of the very few places where they have a certified GF kitchen area. I was surprised that the server wasn't very knowledgeable regarding the gf foods they offer. It also is surprising that they can not do any alternatives to the things they offer on the gf menu. Want mushrooms on the gf pizza? Forget it. Prefer a white sauce instead of red? Forget it. Just Margarita, cheese, or BBQ chicken. What if I want a veggie pizza with white sauce? I don't understand why these simple things can not just be added to that part of the kitchen and kept gluten-free. Why haven't they stepped up their gf game and added a gf bread to offer their gf guests? In addition to all of this, it is shocking that they do not offer ANY gluten-free desserts! I mean, come on! And ice cream doesn't count. The manager was very kind and knowledgeable. However, this is a restaurant I will probably never come back to or recommend. They seem to be stuck back in the 90's, early 2000's.

Amazing service, delicious cocktails, and one of the tastiest meals I've ever had!! My husband had the petite filet and I had the porch chop. Both were phenomenal!! Also, I highly recommend the scallops appetizer. Absolutely amazing all around! (They even had gluten free bread for my husband!)

Super cute place. Food was not great. Steak was hard to chew. The swordfish tasted like a frozen patty from Costco. We decided we would not go back. They were good about Gluten Free. The mashed potatoes were the only good food. Haha

Very knowledgeable staff, excited to see gluten free options as I am celiac. Our server RJ also knew other dishes that could be prepared gluten free. I ordered the chefs special sea bass and it was amazing. It also came out before the rest of our family’s dishes and the staff indicated it was for the person with the gluten allergy. That always makes me feel reassured. All of our food was delicious, awesome atmosphere. Highly recommend!!!

They fit in our party of 13 last minute after we had issues with another restaurant in the area. Food was delicious, super tender and tasty meats. The sides were great. They went above and beyond checking on all of their ingredients and answering all of our questions regarding their gluten free food options.

Food is very healthy and I felt so great after eating here! We came for wine Wednesday and it was perfect for girls night… such a good place to hang close to the beach

Gluten free bread option, grass fed beef and eggs on the breakfast sandwich makes it a huge win for a pregnant person! The staff are friendly and so helpful, I accidentally spilled my lemonade as soon as I got it and they kindly replaced it. I’m coming back often!

It's difficult to find good vegan and gluten food so when there are options, I'm curious to taste and see if it is any good. I had the beef brócoli substitute the beef for ham and it was good, I enjoyed it. My husband had the shaking beef and he liked it too, he wished it had more of the marinade/sauce. Me and my husband have been here three times had the best experience but oh my god this time was horrific!!!! The waiter asked us if there were any allergies that they needed to know. I told him my husband has a very bad dairy allergy to double check even triple check everything. So we ordered two chicken burritos and plain guacamole. Then they bring the guacamole out with CHEESE ON TOP…I’m sorry but I’ve seen dumb things but this was villager shit. Dairy could end my husbands life and to have cheese sitting right on top of a dish when we already expressed he has an allergy is nuts. So they apologize and bring another out along with a burritos and wow it was so slow in this place dead. It’s a Wednesday at 6 PM….and the chicken is burnt in the burritos will be providing picture proof on how terrible it was. I simply got the 18 dollar burritos to go because I only ate half of it and I wanted to show everyone what quality this place is. I never not finish a burrito Mexican food is my favorite. Anyways next the waiter comes back asking us if we ordered a kids quesadilla and apologized when we said we didn’t and he said sorry he will take it off the bill or something at this point me and my husband are outraged. Next we ask for a gluten free vodka and the bartender says he can’t do it but the waiter brings over a bottle of Tito’s and shows us the label and says gluten free which we wanted we said thank you to him couldn’t believe the bartender doesn’t know vodka! Next we ask for the check our plan was to stay a lot longer get drunk since we don’t work tomorrow well plans changed after this horrific experience. So we get the check I look at the bill 115 dollars for two burritos two drinks and wait what two guacamoles when we only had one. So again another mistake they forgot we didn’t want the cheese guacamole so they tried charging us for that and additional one. I mean seriously you don’t check the bill before handing it to a customer what if I paid without looking like most people do when coming to a nice restaurant. I don’t know if management changed but when we came here on thanksgiving it was wonderful experience. They took my husbands allergy seriously made accommodations were very nice and professional. This time was so awful that I don’t think we will ever come back. This was my first time not tipping and breaks my heart to do so since I was a waiter when I was younger but this awful experience I couldn’t do something that wasn’t even close earned. My husband used to be a general manger for many food places and this was shocking and disturbing.

Nestled in the Old World Village is a very popular German restaurant, Biergarten. The atmosphere is very German with a SoCal twist. The staff is very friendly. We saw a lot of millennials, GenX and some GenZ as well as kids enjoying themselves. Kids, teens, and parents danced. A great place to bring the family. It was very loud while we were there. But it was a happy loud. The assistant manager answered our servers were super helpful and friendly. The menu has a lot of gluten free options and I will be back with my friends who are always seeking out food adventures that they can enjoy.

A favorite lunch/tea/coffee location for my friends and I. Outdoor and indoor seating. I usually get a salad without cheese and crisps since I am on a dairy-free & gluten-free diet. Sugar Shack Cafe is just outstanding! First of all, I called a few weeks before our visit to Huntington Beach to find out about gluten-free or gluten-friendly options and they were very helpful. When we finally did visit, our first visit was excellent and our second visit was even better! It was pretty busy yesterday and our server, Julia, handled it smoothly and was very friendly and helpful, an excellent server. This morning we had the pleasure of being served by (I think the owner/manager Ryan), who was warm and welcoming and friendly. Really made us feel comfortable. And his wife (I don’t think we got her name, sadly) took over service this morning and she was awesome, too. Very friendly, welcoming, and great with the coffee refills and everything else. The food was EXCELLENT. I know, you might be thinking how excited can you get about breakfast, but it was great. Coffee was delicious, bacon was crispy, eggs were fluffy, hash browns were particularly good - crispy, not the least bit greasy, just great! And the eggs Benedict (day two, this morning) were out of this world! First of all, I’ve almost never had an eggs Benedict dish come out hot, in any restaurant, ever, but here it came out hot! And the Hollandaise was great, not too lemony, smooth as silk; the ham was tasty, too! Nice English muffin too. Just the perfect eggs Benedict. PLUS - and a BIG plus for my wife and me - it’s open at 6 AM! And I love the ambiance with the surf photos on the walls, and it’s small but comfortable inside. And you CAN eat outside if you want. To me, this is the exact kind of breakfast experience you want, and I’m happy to support this business and highly recommend it to others!

Delicious coffee! I love their iced mocha with oat milk. Go sweet or black and the flavors are really good. Not the best espresso we’ve had, a tad bitter, but overall the best coffee in the area by far! Fresh daily muffins and a gluten free banana muffin that’s moist and tasty!

Great coffee, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent customer service. I really love what Philz Coffee has going on. Their menu is interesting, refreshing, and unique. They offer a wide variety of different items, including gluten-free pastries that taste delicious! The first time I ordered their coffee, I was blown away with how delicious it was. I will say the second time I went, I was a bit disappointed with my coffee order, but because it is customizable, I may have just ordered a new flavor I didn't enjoy, or not added enough sweetener. I definitely had a great first impression, however, so I will be coming back in the future. Staff is really friendly, and they even have fundraisers sometimes for local charities such as a cat shelter where you can drop off items for them to donate. Overall, it was a great experience. Cute chill cafe by the beach, nice little study spot with friendly staff and customers. Very relax vibes next to the gym some gym people stop by for coffee in the morning They have some simple breakfast like avocado egg toast, bagels and sandwiches. I can't eat gluten so I got just eggs. The egg doesn't look pretty but I got two eggs without toast, it was good. It's seasoned so you have to request plain eggs if you like that. It does get chill in there so bring a sweater.
