Amazing- modern restaurant and attentive service. Plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options, and filling portions. The crispy potatoes deserve special mention- my group will be returning to try everything on the menu.

Cool date night spot. Options for everyone! I am gluten free (intolerance not allergy) and had no issues. I really loved Madai and I always love me some Chicago RAW. It was really nice to have the greenhouse-like glass roof above us, but I felt like some nice ambient music would have been a good addition. The service is was very polite and speedy.

I’ve been to Au Cheval before my gluten allergy, but I have to say— the gluten-free route is the way to go, even if you’re not celiac! Service was fantastic, and they offer two gluten-free burger options: a hash brown simmered in beef tallow or lettuce cups. I chose the hash brown, which was crispy, buttery, and indulgent, but if you want the meat to shine, go for the lettuce cups. We also got the bone marrow, and it was to die for—highly recommend! If you’re GF, it comes with lettuce cups; otherwise, you get toast. They offer small (2 bones) and regular sizes—the small was perfect for sharing. That said, I’d rate the burger meat 7/10 — not quite the holy grail Chicagoans claim. And if there’s a long wait? Probably not worth it.

For Restaurant Week and to celebrate our anniversary, my girlfriend and I came down to Trivoli Tavern for a starter, an entree, a side, and a dessert. For the starters, we had the sushi rolls. I had the crispy shrimp roll and I really enjoyed it. Usually I’m not a huge fan of avocado in things since a lot of dishes tend to overemphasize it, but the flavoring here was subtle and actually enhanced the roll. My girlfriend who is celiac could not have the crispy shrimp roll but they were kind enough to substitute that out for a gluten-free cucumber roll that she really enjoyed. For the mains, I had steak and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked wonderfully and every bite was tender and delicious. My girlfriend had the gluten-free vodka rigatoni. A lot of gluten-free pastas are notoriously a little off but this one tasted incredible. She was also able to have French fries since they have a dedicated gluten-free fryer. For dessert, I got the key lime pie. Even though I could barely fit anything else in my stomach after the rest of the meal, it was too tasty not to scarf down. Also, since we were celebrating our anniversary, they gave a complimentary ice cream with chocolate sauce. Overall, I had a great dining experience at Trivoli Tavern. The staff’s attention to detail when accommodating my girlfriend’s dietary restrictions was extremely comforting. I’d love to come back again soon.

Delicious donuts! There were plenty of vegan and gluten free options. The coffee was from Dark Matter and it was great too. The staff was friendly. We’ll be back.

Menu was great. Food was cooked really good too. Gluten friendly and celiac options available. Good location near nice bars. Would definitely recommend Only lost stars because portions are small and it’s too loud so you can’t hear each other much

Food here is solid. They have a couple gluten free options, including gluten free noodles for the pasta. Downside is, the noodles were a bit overcooked and therefore fell apart quite easily. Our server was great! Made good recommendations and was very accommodating. There is a lot of outdoor seating available, and it’s covered! But the chairs are quite possibly the most uncomfortable chairs. You’d think there’s supposed to be a cushion on it. They were a bit weird about switching chairs.

Saturday night was filled with diners. They have some gluten free options, however all foods are shared on the grill. A little pricey, but delicious.

Incredible deal and with Gluten Free options The site is very very well placed. It's quite modern. The staff was very friendly, they recommended the food well. The food was a bit meager for the prices, very minimalist, but the quality of the dishes was very good. There were several options for celiacs and gluten-free bread. There was a lot of noise, and the waitress we were assigned to disappeared quite a bit, but there were other waiters who brought us the dishes, who paid much more attention to us. What should improve a lot is the bathroom, for the quality and price of the restaurant, they should have cleaner bathrooms.

Overall, after eating at the Publican we loved it! Oysters were amazing as well as the carrots. They made carrots taste good!! I highly recommend the bread too. It was super fresh and had a nice hint of salt which added a perfect blend of flavors. The burrata was out of this world and mouth melting and the fish was a crowd pleaser. I loved the look of the restaurant because it had a fresh wholesome vibe to it. This place carries vegetarian options, dairy free, and gluten free! Kid friendly and service is awesome. Our waiter checked on our table every so often and made sure we were settled. There was not one thing that we didn’t like here and I would also like to add that there was a changing table in the bathroom for one of my family members. They appreciated this because most restaurants don’t hold those. 10/10 recommend the Publican!
