Really good service but we didn't really enjoy the food. We ordered off the gluten free menu and pasta didn't taste that great. Ordered the lobster meal but pieces were very small. Substitutions were common because they didn't have what was offered. Overall we felt disappointed in the meals.

Trying to find a restaurant that offers a gluten free menu as well as regular with no discernible differences in taste is 1 in a million and buzzard Billy’s is exactly that. A variety of amazing tea options, the jade cloud green tea was really good. Great gluten free sandwich options and the gluten free cinnamon roll was the best cinnamon roll I have ever had. The staff and owner were also very friendly. Highly recommend!

A friend suggested this place because they have gluten-free crepes. We had to go! The gentleman who greeted us right away made us feel at ease and he directed us to a table while we looked over the menues. I ordered jasmine tea, which came in a beautiful little cup and pitcher. We decided to split two crepes, the Ratatouille and the L'Ocean (smoked salmon). Both looked amazing and tasted even better! Flavor, texture, and presentation were a "10"! Sadly, we didn't save room for a dessert crepe, which we decided we'd have to come back for again. If the GF crepes were that delicious, I'd wager their regular crepes are outstanding. Definitely check this cute place out!

I ordered a special catering meal for a family dinner and was absolutely blown away by both the service and the food! They went above and beyond—creating a custom menu just for us, making flatbread per my special request (even a gluten-free version!), and communicating quickly and kindly throughout the whole process. When I came to pick it up, the staff was so friendly and welcoming—they even had me sampling things at the counter! I genuinely felt like I was at home. Everything was delicious, and I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

They have GF cupcakes. They are good! They store them separately and top them with separate saccapoche to avoid cross-contamination. I am celiac and this is a wonderful place to enjoy something sweet!

Oryza has become a staple of our Asian food expeditions whenever the desire arises. The primary reason is my wife has Celiac’s and therefore must avoid gluten. Oryza fortunately uses corn based flour, not wheat. This wizardy allows food allergen victims to be able to eat from their diverse menu. Their food preparation is excellent. The atmosphere is chill. The service is fantastic. We’ve had only 1 negative experience and noticed that same server was not employed there for much longer. ANYWAYS- this is a great place for Asian cuisine. The owner is always friendly and recognizes us when we visit.

Cooper’s Hawk is one of my favorite restaurants in town to visit. With multiple food allergies it is refreshing to be able to eat somewhere safely. Their gluten free menu offers a wide variety of options. This visit I had the GF chopped chicken salad w/o almonds, and it was amazing. Our server Sunday was very attentive and respectful. He did a nice job of allowing my friend and I time to chat and catch up w/o interrupting but also provided fantastic service. I will visit again!

Cute diner with friendly staff and great food. We went with party of 6, some had breakfast, some salad or sandwich. Everyone enjoyed. I highly recommend the Bluebird juevos as it was excellent. They even had good gluten free pancakes for our celiac group member.

Kindred is a casual café with delicious breakfast, brunch or lunch 100% gluten free. As celiac, it is rare to have the possibility to choose anything from the menu without cross-contamination. This is the only place in Iowa city with a 100% GF kitchen. Additionally, I loved the vibe of the place: young and casual.

Burger shed had a separate Gluten-free menu. We all ordered from that menu as one in our family is Celiac. Food was great, gluten free buns were nice and was not charged extra for gf. It would be nice if they had a dedicated fryer for french fries, though. Celiac kids want fries too.

The quality and taste of the Gluten-free options are amazing. The Gluten free buns are soft and not dry and the Gluten Free Mac and cheese had the texture and taste of regular Mac and cheese. I have had Celiacs for 15+years and was overly impressed. Thank you so much.

Great atmosphere and service. However, would not recommend to those with celiac disease despite the gluten free menu options. Clearly was either cooked with gluten containing items and heavy cross contact, or my 5 year old with celiac disease was served gluten pancakes despite confirming and re-confirming.

Loved the gluten free orange chicken here! Plenty of gf options to choose from. They also have cbd/thc infused drinks here. Outside is a large outdoor patio where kids can play too while waiting for food. Very friendly service, we'll be back!

Food is good and servers have been friendly. Everyone in our party enjoyed what they got. Sweet potato fries seemed to be a hit. I had a Cartel burger and fries, very good with just enough spice from the chorizo that it had a little kick. There are also gluten free options available if one has the need.

The food was great and they have good gluten free options. The waiter was just ok but the hostess (I believe her name was Rachel) was great. The kind of person that keeps you going back. Not a huge fan of the all open floor plan restaurants but the food was good enough it's not a deal breaker. Would definitely go back when we're in the area again.

Zeppelins is such a wonderful experience every single time we go. The food is near perfection, I love that this restaurant has a gluten free menu and takes allergies seriously. I have never had any issues while eating at this restaurant. The happy hour that runs everyday is such always a bonus on top of the wonderful and excellent service we receive from the staff. I wanna give a special shoutout to Ben, who is such a wonderful server and just perfection. He is always excited to see us, makes us feel welcomed and wanted there. He always remembers our drinks, checks out throughout the night and always says when the bill is given he is still around if needed. He is always a pleasure and we love asking for him! We appreciate you! I would also like to give another shoutout to Maddie who is always at the hostess stand, she always make sure we feel special, always has the gluten free menu for us and recalls our name. Solid food, cocktail, and beer choices, with some vegan and gluten free options as well. Pricing is in the middle to high end. There are $15-20 dishes, but can easily go into the $25-35 range or even higher. There is a speakeasy downstairs, but it was closed when we visited. Would recommend making a reservation to avoid waiting, as it can get busy.

Went to order it on door dash and it wasn't showing up so I called the restaurant and spoke to Emily and she went above and beyond to get me my gluten free pizza. Some places have good food, some places have good atmosphere, the Morning Story-Marion has both. I have dined here a number of times, quite a number, actually😉 This breakfast & lunch restaurant is bright, bustling, and brand new (in Marion, Iowa since Nov 2021). They have a sophisticated, modern menu with a SW vibe. This is definitely not an old school diner, offering items like a Mimosa Fried Chicken Benedict or the equally scrumptious Green Chili Chicken Hash. I have had perhaps 10 dishes from the breakfast menu and have never been even slightly disappointed. The dishes are generous and will provide yummy leftovers for many patrons. The lunch menu is also full of delectable choices, from sandwiches like burgers, a club, tenderloin, and philly to fresh salads and the always popular half-n-half combo. I had a fantastic breakfast with my partner recently, our choices being the gluten-free Oatmeal Pancakes, with Rolled Oats, Strawberries, Blueberries, Agave Nectar, Blueberry Compote, and Powdered Sugar. Available also as a combo with eggs and a choice of meat. The second dish was the Breakfast Quesadilla with Scrambled Eggs, Diced Bacon, Roasted Onion, Green Peppers, Cheddar Jack Cheese, Jalapeño Cream Cheese, Fresh Herbs, Salsa Roja. Both dishes were incredibly tasty, made fast and fresh with high-quality ingredients and bursting with flavor. Enough about the food, no mention of this place would be complete without mentioning the hustling, professional, and super friendly staff. One can not help but feel as though every visit is a get-together with good friends. Every staff member on every visit has been smiling, chatty, and genuinely welcoming. The manager (who is a star) not only circulates the dining room constantly, assuring everything is going perfectly, but also somehow finds time to speak to all of the customers in this very busy restaurant in an unhurried way that never ceases to amaze me. Delicious! The quality and care given to all the food is excellent. They even make their own mayo for the coleslaw and Mac salad.
