The bakery we originally ordered from for my son's Bar Mitzvah fell through and we were left with just a week to find non-dairy and gluten-free dessert options for our guests. Red Fern came through with delicious treats and the kind of problem-solving service that meant so much to us when we needed it most. Andrea was so accommodating, our order was ready on time, and everything was delicious. There were so many flavors of mini cupcakes from which to choose and they were fabulous! Yummy little cakes with amazing swirls of frosting and lovely little embellishments like candied fruit, sprinkles, mini cookies, and cookie crumbles. I could eat the chocolate peanut butter rice krispie treats every single day, so good! Nobody even knew the chocolate raspberry cake was non-dairy...they just knew it was delicious and ate every piece of it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

My husband and I have been coming here for brunch every weekend for a few years now. The food is always delicious and the staff is incredible! Lots of options for different dietary restrictions (one happy vegetarian/gluten free gal here- and celiac safe!) and we never leave disappointed. His favorite go-to meal is the mad hatter plate and I love the garden scramble and potatoes with the rabbits way hollandaise sauce. Highly recommend it here! No reservations so be prepared for a wait time but it is WORTH IT!

Wonderful service and great space! Our waiter was so nice and knowledgeable. Not to mention their house made Buffalo sauce is one of the most amazing flavors I have ever tasted. My husband has celiac and we were able to order a delicious gluten free meal. Their gf pizza crust is amazing! We will definitely be back over and over.

Great: -Canolli pancakes! And yes, they are delicious! -Good-sized menu with plenty of options, even for my gluten-free wife -Above average selections/options in condiments and extras like jellies, jams, coffee creamer, etc. Average: -The interior is average breakfast diner. Not bad at all, but nothing that stands out. -It can get quite crowded at times you would expect, like Sunday morning. But they do a good job of moving things along. Wait times were very tolerable. -Service. I thought of adding this to the great section, because anymore even average service seems great. Wait staff was friendly and orders came out quickly and correctly. As I mentioned, sometimes you had to wait a bit but you could tell staff was hustling along. No one was being lazy here. - Some of the prices seemed a little high but were actually good considering the portion sizes. The canolli pancakes are an example but they were enough for 2.5 meals, so maybe not pricey in the end. We will definitely come back whenever we are visiting our kid at RIT.

Highly recommend, particularly for anyone with food allergies or Celiac Disease. Our little one has Celiac and a milk protein allergy. The first thing the server asks you when you are seated is if anyone has food allergies. They have separate gluten-free prep and cook areas, and a separate fryer, so there's no cross-contamination. All of our son's food was brought out by a manager who oversaw everything and had a wooden "allergy" flag sticking out of the food. The food and service were great too! We'll be coming back!

My partner and I live in Rochester but travel everywhere, always looking for a new place to eat out at and Lento is just top tier for us; we always, always return to this gem. The rotating menu, farm to table, gluten free and dairy free options are what make this place so incredible. Every time we come here we get something different and we’ve always been over the moon with the service we’ve received. Hailey is incredible!! Above and beyond and such a joy to be served by her. We recommend this place to everyone. If you get dessert we HIGHLY recommend getting the pear ginger Riesling sorbet. It’s amazing, especially when paired with the Mandarin sorbet, we enjoyed sharing a scoop of each after our exquisite meal. Oh, and drinks are second to none.

They have a HUGE selection of fresh homemade bagels and flavors of cream cheese!! It was overwhelming trying to choose what to get! For $3.75 I got a toasted French toast bagel with raspberry jalapeño cream cheese. She agreed to put butter on it first and then cream cheese! my fav 😋 The bagel was fresh and slightly cinnamony, and the raspberry jalapeño cream cheese was delightfully sweet with a mild kick of an aftertaste. I didn’t get any menu pictures but oh boy I gotta go back to try the other flavors. Maple bacon?? Pumpkin? Salmon? Yes pls. They also have gluten free bagels and vegan cream cheese and pastries!

Quaint little child-friendly spot offering good drinks and good food. However, if you plan on ordering food, you better have some time on your hands. It is not uncommon, from our experience, for food orders to take upwards to 50-60 minutes. Last time we ordered, it took 48 minutes for us to get two wraps that didnt even require any ingredients to be cooked. No explanation, no apology. The gluten-free wrap was in pieces and required a knife and fork (see image). Once again, everything is always delicious, but the speed of service is occasionally mind-boggling.

Normally we enjoy a great meal but this particular experience was not good for a diner in our party with a gluten allergy. She ordered a meal that included gluten free pasta and when it came, the pasta was barely cooked, and it was returned to the kitchen. When it came back the pasta was cooked a bit more but still not cooked enough to enjoy. She ended up having to take it home and finish cooking the pasta herself.

Food is very good! My husband and I go there every Sunday for lunch. There never seems to be enough staff and the place is always busy! Most Sundays we order ahead and then eat there. I highly recommend the white pizza on the gluten free crust!

Dinner was fantastic. We had a change of dinner plans for a group of 9, and they sat us in 15 minutes. The service was excellent; our waitress took such good care of us, and we got our food quickly. This place has been on my local restaurants to try for awhile now. It did not disappoint. I went with a couple of my girlfriends, one of which is gluten free. This place was perfect because they have several gluten free and also vegan options for anyone looking for those dietary choices. I started off with the duck wings, which were so much larger than I expected, perfectly crunchy with a somewhat sweet sauce (reminded me of country sweet sauce) which really married the flavors. I chose to have the gnocchi with peas, large thick pieces of fresh pancetta, mushrooms, in a light cream sauce with parmigiana shavings. I needed to add some more seasoning and parmigiana, but ultimately it was good considering it was listed as gluten free. This place is worth a try. It is perfect to go with friends, a romantic dinner, or also great for double dates.

Just found this coffee shop a week ago after being displaced, now permanently, from Hurricane Helene in Asheville, NC. I have been to more coffee shops than I can count on 5 hands….after being here twice, it’s absolutely one of my favorites! The little store up front, the coffee, and the gluten free & vegan cookies they sell are both worth every penny. I haven’t tried the food yet, but that’s next. I’ve already introduced the place to local family and friends. I look forward to my visits now to this side of town.

Silo Brunch Bar is a fantastic and refreshing brunch spot in Greece - definitely not your grandma’s diner. Silo outshines any other brunch we’ve had in the Rochester area. Plenty of vegetarian options make it a win, and I can personally recommend the Veggie Omelet, Pancakes, and Caprese. My meat-loving daughter-in-law devoured the Silo Reuben and loved every bite. Bonus: If you need gluten-free bread, they’ve got you covered! For a brunch that’s anything but ordinary, Silo is a must-visit. Oh and the hashbrowns! Just bury me now! YUM!

I used to have the most amazing experiences here, never had any issues. However I went here for Valentine’s Day and my pasta definitely tasted like regular pasta (if you know, you know). I asked the waitress to check with the cook and since we were sitting right by the kitchen, we saw the chef get mad because they had just closed the kitchen and he didn’t want to make a new meal and said to “just tell her it’s gluten free”. I brought this up to management with no response, so I won’t be returning here sadly.

In town for a long weekend and found this place. I had a gluten free personal veggie pizza with dairy free cheese, and it was delicious. My husband ordered a burger and fries. The fries were crispy and so good. My kids got meatball subs and an order of cinnamon sticks. They had something for everyone, a great spot to have lunch.

Amazing, fresh food. Huge selection. Our table enjoyed a club sandwich, poached avocado toast, and apple cinnamon stuffed gluten free pancakes. Everything was excellent. Service was great; friendly and fast. Sunny's is clean, and nicely decorated. We sat upstairs, which was a bit brighter than downstairs, but both areas were just as appealing. Definitely recommend Sunny's!

Tried this diner for the first time a few weeks ago for lunch. It’s clean bright spacious, has a huge menu it’s hard to decide what to get! Our food was delicious - BLT and a **gluten free** sandwich that my friend was soooo happy about! A lot of places don’t have gluten free bread or wraps or pancakes etc. I went another time with my mom for breakfast & we liked the French toast & scrambled eggs.

We had a table of 7. We all git comfortably and could hear the conversation across the table. They have a full specialty drink, beer and wine menu. The food menu varied from vegetarian, meat, appetizers, and gluten free. I had a delicious boiled haddock. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

We got our wedding cake from Caramel, and we're so happy we did! Caramel is a pleasure to work with, and we appreciated their timely communication and attention to detail. They also assisted us with identifying some vegan and gluten free desserts to help us accommodate all our guests. It's been a few months since the wedding, and our guests are still talking about how delicious the cake was!

My wife is a celiac, and although they can not guarantee cross contamination, the servers have tried hard to accommodate her when we dine here. Love the happy hour 22 oz. This was an incredible experience at two and four persons. The drink menu is spectacular, the board game selection is small yet solid, and the food is great. I'm not a video gamer, but there's multiple consoles. They have a variety of allergy options, and the gluten free options were delicious!

We came up to visit our student for a concert and was looking for something nice but not outrageous. This place was amazing! The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, especially for what we got and the service was wonderful. My gluten free husband had plenty of options as well. Our waitress was outstanding. My husband and I were staying at the Hampton (visiting from Ontario, Canada) and did not have a dinner reso for Friday night so we thought we would check out Lila's... WOW! We were blown away! I have Celiac Disease and the menu had SOO many gluten-free options it was amazing. We would have to say other than the food being absolutely phenomenal (especially having the peace of mind to eat it being GF) the service by Adam was top-tier, hands-down the best service we have ever had. Not only was he extremely helpful with the menu and just overall professionalism/friendly, but he also hand-wrote us a list of restaurants to visit while in Rochester, and provided great detail in the list. We would visit Rochester again just for Lila's food and Adam's service! Thank you again!

We have been here many times with great experiences, today was particularly nice though. With a new celiac diagnosis in our house I was very nervous ordering the gluten free pizza and I believe called back three times with questions and requests. I wish I had the young lady’s name who was so helpful and kind. The pizza came out great and there were no reactions for the allergic family member. They said it was the best pizza they ever had! (6 year old- so take that for what it’s worth😄) we got subs and they were delicious.

They mixed up my gluten free and regular buns, when I called to confirm the woman who answered told me she entered the order right and if the kitchen mixed it up it wasn't her fault. Great, when asked to help find the difference, she offered little reassurance for someone who is gluten free and hung up on me.
