When family and friends visit us in Rochester, we typically go to the Owl House because it offers so many dietary options. We have vegans, vegetarians, gluten-free, and meat eaters. No matter who we take, we always leave super satisfied, bellies full of amazing food and drinks. She was funny, her timing was perfect, but her suggestions? I typically order steaks, pasta, or seafood dishes. This girl had me ordering pork chops for dinner, and it was the best pork chop I've ever had! Absolutely amazing! She made our evening out with our PA family perfect. Love this place! I’m a vegetarian, and my spouse is vegetarian and has a gluten allergy, and the Red Fern was able to accommodate with no issue whatsoever. We even had our choice of bakery items to choose from, which is practically unheard of. -The interior is average breakfast diner. Not bad at all, but nothing that stands out.
-It can get quite crowded at times you would expect, like Sunday morning. But they do a good job of moving things along. Wait times were very tolerable.
-Service. I thought of adding this to the great section, because anymore even average service seems great. Wait staff was friendly and orders came out quickly and correctly. As I mentioned, sometimes you had to wait a bit but you could tell staff was hustling along. No one was being lazy here.
- Some of the prices seemed a little high but were actually good considering the portion sizes. The canolli pancakes are an example but they were enough for 2.5 meals, so maybe not pricey in the end.
We will definitely come back whenever we are visiting our kid at RIT.

For $3.75 I got a toasted French toast bagel with raspberry jalapeño cream cheese. It is not uncommon, from our experience, for food orders to take upwards to 50-60 minutes. Last time we ordered, it took 48 minutes for us to get two wraps that didnt even require any ingredients to be cooked. No explanation, no apology. The gluten-free wrap was in pieces and required a knife and fork (see image). Once again, everything is always delicious, but the speed of service is occasionally mind-boggling.

Normally we enjoy a great meal but this particular experience was not good for a diner in our party with a gluten allergy. She ordered a meal that included gluten free pasta and when it came, the pasta was barely cooked, and it was returned to the kitchen. I used to have the most amazing experiences here, never had any issues. However I went here for Valentine’s Day and my pasta definitely tasted like regular pasta (if you know, you know). I asked the waitress to check with the cook and since we were sitting right by the kitchen, we saw the chef get mad because they had just closed the kitchen and he didn’t want to make a new meal and said to “just tell her it’s gluten free”. This place has been on my local restaurants to try for awhile now. It did not disappoint. I went with a couple of my girlfriends, one of which is gluten free. This place was perfect because they have several gluten free and also vegan options for anyone looking for those dietary choices. I started off with the duck wings, which were so much larger than I expected, perfectly crunchy with a somewhat sweet sauce (reminded me of country sweet sauce) which really married the flavors. I chose to have the gnocchi with peas, large thick pieces of fresh pancetta, mushrooms, in a light cream sauce with parmigiana shavings. I needed to add some more seasoning and parmigiana, but ultimately it was good considering it was listed as gluten free. This place is worth a try. It is perfect to go with friends, a romantic dinner, or also great for double dates.

So good! A great selection of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options, and everything is clearly labeled. We started with Mama Ganoush (Baba Ganoush, but without yogurt), falafel, and lentil soup. My aunt & I each got the half portion rice plates (mine with falafel & tabouleh, my aunt's with beef & tabouleh), and my husband got the Shwarma pita wrap with an extra side of beef & an order of hummus. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, especially for what we got and the service was wonderful. My gluten free husband had plenty of options as well. Our waitress was outstanding. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I were staying at the Hampton (visiting from Ontario, Canada) and did not have a dinner reso for Friday night so we thought we would check out Lila's... WOW! We were blown away! I have Celiac Disease and the menu had SOO many gluten-free options it was amazing. We would have to say other than the food being absolutely phenomenal (especially having the peace of mind to eat it being GF) the service by Adam was top-tier, hands-down the best service we have ever had. Not only was he extremely helpful with the menu and just overall professionalism/friendly, but he also hand-wrote us a list of restaurants to visit while in Rochester, and provided great detail in the list. We would visit Rochester again just for Lila's food and Adam's service! Thank you again!

In a market packed with excellent restaurants, Angelina's still manages to stand out as a cut above the rest! Do not hesitate to come in and experience their seasonal menu, that's crafted to encourage sharing (though you're not forced to!). The service was knowledgeable, unobtrusive, but still very attentive. Ambiance is warm and familiar, with fresh flowers on the table. Every dish our table of 3 tried was excellent, and we were blown away by the different tastes! Of note: gnudi were outstanding, as were the mushrooms. Many vegetarian options, some vegan, and a variety of gluten free, all well labeled. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, as it's on street, but it's worth it in the end! Please forgive the not clean plates in the pictures...I just couldn't help myself and started eating before I remembered to pull out my camera. That's how good it was!
