Went for the Nutella noodle cheesecake (March 11-5, 2025 only) and left with the peanut butter cheesecake too. Sweet Hereafter is an adorable cheesecake and coffee/tea restaurant, perfect for a date, catch up, late night dessert or to take out. It’s a ‘Ma and Pa’ business, locally owned and operated and the Pa makes all the recipes. And they have gluten free options. They’re closed on Sundays and Mondays so plan ahead. So glad it’s on my dessert choice list now!
A cozy and bright spot with a simple, affordable menu offering scrumptious sweet and savory Taiyaki, perfect for a chill hangout or solo read.

This place is the most adorable cafe! My wife and I love to come here when we're in Halifax. There are numerous gluten-free and vegan options, and everything's absolutely delicious! The staff are very friendly as well, 10/10!

It is so so awesome. We absolutely loved it. Strongly recommended. Their Gluten free chocolate cookie and gluten free brownie is so yummy. We also loved their honey bee cappuccinos.

I was looking for a great cup of coffee and a bite to eat and noticed the good reviews and gluten free options. Sadly, I found the coffee underwhelming - very weak and flavorless. My GF breakfast sandwich tasted good and was delivered to the table by very personable staff but I found it to be expensive, for what it was. I also had a GF/vegan macaroon but it tasted nothing like a macaroon. It was very odd tasting making me wonder what I was ingesting. 🫢 Lastly, I wished I had not gone to the washroom; it was surprisingly dirty and did not appear to have been cleaned in a long while, a real turn off to eating there again. I thought I would like the place based on the reviews but there were just too many negatives for me.
This spot has a huge selection of board games to dive into, making it a fun hangout, though a few more snack options would be great!

Pretty good place. Many board games to choose from. It would be nice to play some new releases too. Food is simple, but would benefit from more variety of shareable snacks (gluten free salty snacks ideally).
This is a lovely café. I just wish they'd offer a few fresh gluten free items that are not School House commercial baked goods. These taste like sawdust. Once in a while I'd like a break from the pecora although these are lovely.
A must-visit in Halifax for its decadent drinks and tasty bites, capturing a cozy vibe and a hint of Italian charm!

I find it utterly ridiculous that to order a gluten free sandwich, I have to pay the same price as a regular sandwich but I am getting served half the amount of food. It is bad enough when restaurants charge extra money just for someone to eat a gluten free bun, but to be asking for that much money for that little food is disrespectful. Eating gluten free for many people isn't an optional lifestyle choice. It is medically necessary, and we shouldn't have to break the bank to eat out. What this is is ableism based in capitalism.
The food here is sub par for the price I am paying. There are a few things that are definitely good enough that maybe the price is okay, but the vast majority is not.
The kindness and skill of the staff is the one redemptive quality of the establishment. They are excellent servers and baristas. Every employee I interacted with was delightful.
A charming hole-in-the-wall café where everything feels homemade and special, offering a unique culinary experience you won't forget.

Cute little place with amazing food!! Best bacon I've ever had, too! Everything is made super fresh and homemade style!
They knew all about cooking for celiac people, too, like my mother. It's always a relief when she can eat in confidence that she won't react!
Both Annie and her helper Kahleah are both super friendly and knowledgeable! With beyond normal courtesy! I can't recommend this place enough you have to eat here!
it's a nice small location at a slightly bad area (for parking/cars) but really good for walking to if you live near by. They have pretty good coffee for the type that I purchase (I don't drink it, the girlfriend does). They also have a good few little gluten-free/ natural snacks to purchase(some times a little pricey though). When I first started to go there the price for coffee (beans) was pretty good and cheaper then other locations mostly. Within the past 6 months to a year the price for coffee has gone up each time that I have been there to get coffee beans.
Awesome cafe! Great coffee to perk you up in the morning. The people are very friendly and the space is cute and inviting. The basque cheesecake is gluten free and tastes delicious.
Their cider is fantastic, and their food is also super great! Amazing service, great conversation and extremely helpful when it came to the tables gluten intolerance!!
