A little pricey but I'm not surprised in this town especially for organic food. Also, the lunch menu is much bigger than the dinner menu but it wasn't available at dinner time which was a little annoying. But the food was great. I was happy to find gluten free pasta here.

Nice people who speak great English. Super fast delivery! But the food was not great. We ordered pizzas, some regular ones and some gluten-free/vegan ones. The regulars were average, and the gluten free ones were the worst gluten free pizzas we had ever eaten honestly, and very expensive. I hate to say that, but for our taste, that's the truth. 😢

Was amazing experience at this coffee shop. The view is unmatched. It overseas the three roads that get together right in front of it and all the action is happening in front of it. Staff was super friendly and the options for coffees are almost indefinable. Wi-Fi sucks a little bit, but can go around. A lot of gluten-free options. Super chill place.

The food is delicious, all handmade, they have gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. We tried the seitan tacos, the vetariana burger, we loved it, good portions and everything fresh. Then we had coffee with the pastry and beyond expectations, the chocolate pie made with avocado and sweet potato was delicious, highly recommended!

We enjoyed the extensive multi-ethnic menu selections. Fish & chips to shawarma to gallo pinto. Gluten-free friendly, very helpful pleasant staff, clean, airy, with a lovely patio. Falafel plate was really tasty, set off with some sumac onions and great hand-cut chips cooked in fresh oil. Chori-pan with housemade salsa and more delicious hand-cut fries and a side of fried plantains. Tried some Costa Rican craft brew Rye IPA and Triple beers - delicious! All in all a really good visit and reasonably priced for the quality of food and service.

Superb restaurant that were brilliant at catering for gluten intolerance. Really friendly staff, very chatty and super helpful. Nice to see the restaurant cat pop by as we'd missed ours after a few weeks, we were told she runs the place :-) Top place to visit, lovely food and atmosphere.

I work remotely and, thanks to some newly diagnosed medical conditions, I need to find meals that are low sugar and gluten free. Guayoyo to the rescue! It is bright, clean space with just the right amount of people-watching and music when I need a break from my work. The staff is always great about letting me take up space with my laptop and making me the most delicious iced and hot teas (with honey!). My go-to dish is the Tuna Salad made with quinoa and garbanzo beans. I didn't even know I liked garbanzo beans and now I'm obsessed with them. I try stay away from the baked good because of the gluten, but the blueberry muffins and banana bread are worth having my tummy scream at me later. This is a must-do when you just want a relaxing space that feels a little homey.

This place felt like our second home in our stay in Guiones! The staff is incredible friendly. The food was amazing. I am celiac and there were plenty of GF options for me. The mango fish fajitas were definitely a highlight as was the chili guaro! The rice and beans were the best out of all the places I tried in my 12 days visiting. Did I mention how nice the staff is?!?! Top Notch. So lucky we found this place.

Gluten free baked pastries and awesome 👍. I bought several to take with me. Very sweet staff. Jeremy was very knowledgeable about the pastries being cooked separately. Great Britt coffee shop and also have smoothies. You can even get non-dairy milks. They have regular pastries too. Great place.

Very nice atmosphere. It is a cafeteria where you can go alone or with someone and enjoy it the same. The food was very good and gourmet type. They have a gluten-free menu. They specify all the allergens in the dishes. I would go again permanently. My dish was a 6500 Angus burger with a 2000 mint lemonade.

Pretty good spot for brunch. My boyfriend loved the coffee, so much so that we bought some for home, Cafe Dota. They have gluten free options, and accommodated my allergiest o dairy, eggs and pineapples. Very friendly service and fresh food. It's a bit pricey, as it's 7000-8000 colones per entree.

a cute small cafe/breakfast place right next to the best part of the playa in puerto viejo. A lot of healthy and yummy options (including vegan, gluten free). We came here twice for breakfast. I would recommend the dragon bowl and the cold coconut water. A nice place to just chill, enjoy the beach and read/scroll through the phone? :) the staff was very polite and friendly. Would come here again.

Great place! Gentlemen who roast the coffee is extremely friendly. Black coffee may have been the best I have ever had. Ate the patacones and omelet. They were great. I am gluten free and feel great after the meal. Would definitely go back!

Barumis is a must-try! The staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. The menu has something for everyone – from delicious waffles and chicken sandwiches to refreshing watermelon basil drinks and Sauvignon Blanc. They even have amazing açaí bowls! As a celiac, my wife was thrilled with her gluten-free and vegan burger, and the kids loved their waffles. My friend and I devoured the chicken burgers – some of the best we've had in Costa Rica! The atmosphere was fantastic, and we had an amazing time. Plus, they offer a wide variety of smoothies, cocktails, sodas, and juices. Highly recommend!
