Had afternoon tea, two versions one for me and a gluten free version for my other half, the food was very good apart from the gluten free scone, but they replaced it with an alternative option

The cafe is AMAZING. I am gluten-free and my friend is vegetarian and we were spoilt for choice. The chai and matcha were both so good, and the hot honey halloumi hash brown stack was possibly the best brunch I've ever had. The cafe is aesthetically lovely and the dog picture walls are so adorable. The staff are lovely too, so friendly and approachable - this place is a solid 10/10.
With a charming vibe, this spacious café offers a delightful doggy menu, a lovely courtyard, and a tempting selection of cakes that everyone's raving about.

Such a delicious hearty meal, thank you, and a dedicated gluten free menu which I always love. Benjamin our waiter was great - attentive, warm and funny. Great spot!

We went at the beginning of April, it was 2 adults and a toddler. We arrived for lunch time without booking and we just had to wait a few minutes. Needed gluten free options and they were happy to accomodate, advising us whether something might have través of gluten. I had the Persian eggs and my partner the chicken shawarma, toddler needed gluten free option. Everything was delicious and the place quite lovely. I would definitely recomend.
A cozy spot with unique decor and a fantastic variety of tasty options, perfect for a relaxed dessert outing with friends.

First time eating here (but have seen their desserts on Deliveroo and been tempted for a while), lovely decor and plenty of tables. We arrived and seemed to be the only people there at first, which was fine, better than feeling crowded, Nisa was lovely and welcoming, and gave us the pick of anywhere we wanted to sit. I was given a thorough allergen guide, as I needed gluten free, to check against the menu and Nisa gave me a run down of all my options saying they can easily build plate to avoid anything with gluten too. I chose the American waffle with toppings as I love when places cater for gluten free on dishes you wouldn’t normally find gluten free… this was so delicious! My fiancé had a “croffle” dish as a mix between a croissant and a waffle sounded very his sort of thing.
Overall it was lovely food, good prices for the size of the dishes, pretty decor, very clean and tidy and Nisa was very helpful and friendly as our server. We will come again!
This charming spot offers an impressive selection of scones and cakes with a cozy atmosphere that keeps guests returning for more.

visited this cafe around 11 a.m. on a Sunday and only had to wait five minutes to be seated! Their blueberry and lemon scones are hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. They offer a great variety of scones and cakes, with gluten-free options too, which was a nice touch. I’m still thinking about those scones! I also had the white chocolate matcha, which was fantastic and complemented the food perfectly. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back!

Really nice little cafe. We popped in for coffee and breakfast. The gluten free and vegetarian options were great. Scrambled eggs on gluten free toast was very nice.

Very very good ice cream, quite cool atmosphere and very pleasant service. For allergies such as gluten-free, they are attentive but it is not perfect (they do not change the spoon for example, also the gluten-free cakes are mixed with the others in the displays).
A buzzing spot known for its gourmet vegetarian breakfast and homemade bread, offering a no-frills yet satisfying dining experience.

Staff were great, accommodated a party of 6, always busy and buzzing. They accommodate gluten free which is great (bake their own bread) - no hash browns unfortunately which is a little strange for a classic brunch spot. Don't expect anything flash, just good honest grub.
A cozy hidden gem for a casual lunch with plenty of fresh options, though watch out for tempting cakes that might steal the show!

This hidden gem was just perfect for lunch. Not fancy, flashy or overpriced, just decent, fresh, honest fayre. Gluten free, veggie, vegan options aplenty. Only down side, don't be seduced by the cakes!

Great spot, great atmosphere, lovely friendly staff. The food was delicious and I've been trying to find a really good coffee since leaving NZ, and this place definitely delivered. Thank you!
Also, lots of gluten free options, which is great as it can be hard to find.

The guy put depeche mode - just can’t get enough on the duke box. My son was wearing his Celtic top! Fantastic service 💚🍀🤍 HH!
I have coeliac disease, I feel great no reaction to this food.
Second time having an amazing afternoon tea delivered from Love to eat. The gluten free option is just as delicious and so much effort to give a variety of bread and cakes which is rare!
Lovely people to deal with , highly recommend

What can I say? Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, incredible food with an exciting menu and huge portions and a reasonable price.Felt safe ordering GF food as staff very knowledgeable about cross contamination and there is a dedicated gluten free fryer and a separate gluten free menu. We ended up eating there three times during our stay in York and we will DEFINITELY be back!

Fantastic food here. As I'm gluten intolerant, it's not always easy to find really nice food when out and about. To be able to have gluten-free garlic bread and a lasagne was great. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend.

Stopped on route to Scarborough and what an amazing breakfast. Best Gluten Free breakfast I have had in 10 years! Takes me back to being a child and stopping on the annual trip to Scarborough. You have to stop here. Excellent 👌
The customer service and food at this place are second to none, I love the whole vibe and what they are trying to achieve. If you want quality at a reasonable price this is the place. Oh and they do great gluten free options.

An overall disappointing afternoon tea experience for a gluten-free person.
-Supermarket bought cakes (clearly from Sainsbury's) on gluten free afternoon tea plate.
- 'cheese parcel alternative' for me was just a piece of white toast and cheese, not an equal alternative.
-£5 extra for the pleasure of a GF option which as noted, felt like poor effort and poor quality
Unfortunately Plush under delivered and over charged for what I got here.
Positives: Coffee and scone were good and clearly homemade
Summary: please make better gluten free options and don't buy supermarket cakes or biscuits for the afternoon tea, it is unfair to charge extra for this lack of service.
Noticed they did gluten free bread here, so stopped for a bite to eat. Explained the waitress I was celiac etc, she checked the bread ingredients and said we were good to go. The food comes out and I’m suspicious of the bread as gf bread normally tastes like sadness, but this bread was amazing.
I take the plate over the waitress and say to her are you sure this is gluten free? She wholeheartedly assured me that it is. As she passes again, I ask her where they get the bread from because it’s the best gf bread I’ve ever had. She goes and checks…..next thing I know she’s running back to our table asking if we have an epi pen on us because they have in fact given us regular bread…just as I’m finishing my last bite
I don’t blame the waitress at all, she was a lovely young woman who took time out to find me ingredients and stuff and she could not have been more worried about the outcome, she’s fantastic.
If you have allergens I would just be cautious eating here
Always dine here when I visit York. Lovely to have loose leaf tea and an extra pot of hot water. Gluten free options. All freshly made. Great kids menu. Delicious cakes!
Great value spot with excellent service where your only challenge will be choosing from their varied menu!

Service was quick and polite but they advertise as caters for gluten free but what this really meant was a menu the same as the normal one but with almost everything crossed of as not gluten free, leaving a couple of cakes and a fruit salad.
A bustling spot with a solid breakfast selection, friendly staff, and a few treats for various diets, though coffee could be better.

Gluten free (non coeliac) breakfast We get tired of looking for gluten free focused places and thought we would try these guys after struggling to find a park at a local cafe that likely offered a better quality coffee. We decided to just 'grab something' from this cafe but we're delighted to see a full English breakfast and smaller options for eat in. No specific gluten free menu but offered vegan and vegetarian options. However the staff were happy to look up the allergens on their menu
Note to GF - no gluten free bread offered, all sausages contain gluten however the chef was happy to add another egg and some extra bits and pieces to make up for the sausage and bread. It was still a very full breakfast and filling.
These guys were very busy but the ladies in the restaurant were so happy to help and doing a great job- considering. Line up at the till even if you want just coffee as this seemed to create confusion for some patrons and listen out for your table number.
The coffee was pretty average, otherwise I would have given 5 stars but we also have a fussy, Australian palate for coffee and honestly didn't expect a lot from a supermarket cafe. :-) good find.
The best sandwich shop I have been to in the world. Amazing, affordable prices and MASSIVE portion sizes. The actual produce is tasty and excellent quality. On top of that, the staff are very hospitable people and cater for gluten free. I'm addicted.
We had a picnic for six (including one gluten free) for a boat trip. The food was amazing and beautifully packed up with everything we needed. The gluten free member of our party has never been so well catered for. I cannot fault the food or the service and communications were excellent. I will be back to explore the Delicatessen when I’m next in York.

Lovely food and staff members. the portion is quite big. Gluten free options are available for some of the menu. Located in the antique house, the environment is quiet and special. Highly recommended!
Great coffee, wonderful selection of cakes and the best vegan gluten free cheesecake I've ever had! In fact I'm not vegan but it was one of the best cheesecake I'd ever had. Highly recommend
