We stopped in here during our visits in New haven.
This establishment boasts an appealing atmosphere with a charming ambience. The service is courteous, although the waitstaff, while kind, may be preoccupied. Consideration for a designated server could enhance attentiveness. The cappuccino is commendable. Among the crepes, the Norvegienne, featuring smoked salmon, lacks a harmonious flavor profile with the buckwheat base. However, the strawberry, banana, and Nutella crepe proves delightful. While I would revisit, I suggest avoiding the savory buckwheat crepes, as they may not align with personal preferences, though they may appeal to those seeking a gluten-free option. Be prepared to smell like a crepe when leaving. Bathroom is in a very weird location with scary movie vibes.

Such a fun and delicious spot right in downtown New Haven! I stopped by T-Swirl for the first time and was super impressed. The crepes are made with a rice flour batter, so they’re naturally gluten-free and come out thin, crispy, and beautifully wrapped like a cone—perfect for eating on the go or dining in.
I ordered the Strawberry Nutella and the Crème Brûlée with Banana—both were amazing! The strawberry Nutella was packed with fresh fruit and the perfect amount of sweetness. The crème brûlée crepe had a creamy custard with that classic caramelized sugar top, and the banana just made it even better. Total dessert heaven!
Ordering was really easy with their touchscreen kiosks, and even though it got busy, the service was fast and friendly. The inside is clean, modern, and cozy, though it’s more of a casual grab-and-go vibe than a full sit-down meal experience.
Definitely coming back to try more flavors. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something different, fresh, and fun!

There are a lot of gluten free and pepper free options if you build your own bowl. I love to swap out the base (lettuce or quinoa) for sweet potatoes and then load up on veggies and toppings, which is slightly more expensive but well worth it!

We love the vegan/vegetarian deli
inside this large and well-stocked health-food store. Turn left upon entering the store and find the deli with seating in a small alcove just past the cash registers. The hot-foods bar lists common allergens and sensitivity-causing ingredients, and there is a generous area of baked goods -- gluten-free and vegan too. This is a great place to enjoy a quick yet healthful meal at a reasonable price! Check their hours to avoid disappointment.

I love browsing through the used books (mostly literary fiction and popular histories) with a cup of spiced chai latte. The indoor and outdoor seating areas are comfortable and well lit, if packed during the lunch rush.
I'm less enthusiastic on the food front: the gluten free sandwiches are way too expensive given that they're made on udi's bread. For almost $10, I want something made in-house.
This vibrant spot offers a friendly atmosphere and an inviting vibe enhanced by a great playlist, making it a top choice for those seeking abundant and satisfying gluten-free options. The exceptional service adds to the delightful experience.

The New Haven location is one of my favorite spots to go for breakfast, lunch, or anything in between. Andrew is extremely kind and helpful, making the entire experience a delight. I am constantly thinking I have found my favorite thing on the menu and then I try something new, and the cycle starts all over!
I am also celiac and they have a great selection of gluten free options. I couldn't recommend Life Bowls enough.

Used to be one of my favorite coffee stops in new haven :( Im not sure if its due to the opening of the second location or the switched focus to being a brunch spot but this place has seriously gone downhill. This location is either overpopulated or understaffed. constantly a line out the door and staff ushering you to the full service dining area. Much less vegan/gluten free baked goods on rotation than they used to have. The coffee has fantastic potential as it is made with different GIV beans (a local roaster) that have both great blends and single origins. however due to the franticness of the staff, syrups in lattes remain unstirred, turkish coffee is much weaker than before, teabags stay in when you order tea and often break in your togo cup, and the espresso the last few times i got it had a strong metallic taste. The prices have gone up a lot (as has everywhere) but are now more in line with a midclass brunch spot than a coffee shop who has snacks and breakfast options. unfortunately the food isnt on par with the price and youre better off going to bellas across the way. (theyll both have lines out the door) truly sad as staff used to be so welcoming and the atmosphere and decor and couches make you want to stay all day! Would only go back to purchase whole beans sadly

We made reservations easily online the day before and pre signed the waivers ahead of time. Parked down the street and walked over. They had such cute stuff available for sale and individually packaged baked items for sale and a pretty elaborate drink menu. I loved the banana bread. My husband enjoyed and appreciated the baked gluten free items.
Coffee was hot and good. When we walked over to the car area we all sanitized our hands before going in, which I appreciated, and then went in and there were 29 cats and each had a bio on the wall which was so interesting. Many cats were very playful, I saw one sleeping in a lap and another bring friendly trying to persuade a guest for some of their food. We played with toys. The hour went by so fast. We let the sleeping cats sleep. There was music, a clean restroom, and a lot of seating. Many chose to sit on the ground with the cats though. It was so nice and I hope they all get adopted. Adoption fees seemed reasonable considering all vaccines are included and being fixed is included. I highly recommend.

Donut Crazy specializes in donuts, but also features great coffee and tea selections. There are additional breakfast options with eggs and pastries as well. They are open later than nearby coffee shops in the summer. Seating is student and writer friendly. Delicious vegan and gluten free options. Falafel is the best I’ve ever had. The fresh OJ is a must order. Havenly is absolutely amazing and I hope they can expand. An elegant casual restaurant, it’s the perfect place to meet friends and family or hang out with a book. Can’t wait to come back.

Excellent coffee and yummy breakfast! They accommodated my gluten allergies with no issue! If you’re staying at the Omni on Temple Street, this is by far a superior option to their 19th Floor breakfast at a fraction of the cost.

The soup is delicious. It was heated up on a stove, not microwaved. Three of the daily soup were gluten free.
