My friend and I were visiting for 1 night only in Chicago and stopped here for breakfast. The server we got was AMAZING. Super personable and upbeat! Our waters never got low, trash was never on the table for long, we were checked on often, and we had everything we needed! They also offered gluten free pancakes which were AMAZING!!! I loved them. As I savored the Blue Bowl, I believe, I found myself wondering how to get to Normal and still manage work/travel requirements in Central IL. The bowl was so balanced in flavors and refreshing with fresh, sweet strawberries and acai. Amber is a delight, store manager, and very knowledgeable and engaged in growing her knowledge of nutrition and proper management of food prep necessary in addressing allergy concerns. I have gluten and soy sensitivities and I know I was in the best of hands through Amber's expertise and the menu, as constructed. My partner (who is celiac) and I used to go to our local Red Robin all the time, then some changes were made to the kitchen and management and they were no longer willing or able to accommodate her dietary needs.
We had gift cards to Red Robin still and were bored on a Saturday night, and decided to utilize the gift cards for some drinks. Ended up driving 45 mins for a Saturday night cruise to this Red Robin location where we started talking to the Manager John.
Turns out John was very knowledgeable about Celiac (his friend's father is celiac) and informed us of their procedure and their kitchen setup. We proceeded to dine in and enjoy some food along with our drinks.
Needless to say, my Partner was overjoyed to find out that we are now able to enjoy the wonderous place that is Red Robin again! YUMMMMM
