The food is exceptional! However, it's really disappointing that they don't allow you to substitute toast/tortillas for anything else. If somebody is gluten intolerant or is avoiding grains, it's frustrating that they have to throw away money away because "we can only add another side."

My fiancé and I came to visit Dallas for the first time and we were so excited to hear about the gayborhood in Oak Lawn! As members of the LGBTQ+ community it’s such a relief to find an amazing queer and safe environment when traveling. Alexandre’s blew us away!! Jules was our server and is absolutely incredible, kind, friendly, and provides outstanding service! Tyler is the chef and cooked the best wings I’ve ever had and we left no crumbs on ANY of our plates. My fiancé has celiac and neither of us can have dairy and Tyler came to our table, talked us through our options, created amazing alternatives and TORE IT UP in that kitchen! I wish we could take him home with us the Massachusetts, I could eat there every day! Then we got to join BOAT (Broadway on a Tuesday) it was PHENOMENAL! What a beautiful and amazing community and family you guys have at Alexandre’s! 100000/10 would recommend and come back again!

Came here for brunch with a group of friends, but they only serve it on weekends, so it was standard menu.
I had the salad as it was limited for gluten free options. Having said that, the salad was pretty darn good. Coffee was nice too.

First time there and we loved it! We went for lunch on a Saturday. We ordered Mr. T’s, the veggie fritters (best ones I’ve ever had), and the burrata for appetizers. Then their montanara (award winning!) and Napoli pizza which were both spectacular. Their panna cotta, cannoli, and pistachio dessert were outstanding. We exclusively go to this Alamo location for any movies. We really enjoy going there and are typically pretty well taken care of. My daughter has celiac disease and is extremely sensitive to gluten, including cross contamination. We haven’t had an issue in the past year since her diagnosis; when I would explain to our server, they would either assure me they would have the kitchen take precautions or they would have a manager come out to chat with us. Christmas Day was the first time we’ve had an issue. Our server seemed pretty dismissive when my daughter asked about being able to get a shake or hot chocolate, so I pulled the server aside to explain that if she was able to order the shake we’d have to make sure that the kitchen thoroughly cleans the blender before making it because any shake that has gluten in it made before her shake could cause her to have issues. She also had the loaded fries, which she’s had before with no problems. I wrote on our order card that she is celiac and to please take caution with cross contact. I also ordered a burger with a gluten free bun for myself (I’m just sensitive, not allergic like my daughter is) and my burger came out on a regular, gluten bun. I ended up eating my burger without the bun and my daughter ended up having reactions to what she ate after we got home. It was pretty disappointing because Alamo has been one of our regular spots that we can all go and enjoy ourselves at without being worried about her being exposed. I’m not sure if something changed in the kitchen, if our server didn’t communicate to them, or what happened but now I’m concerned about going back with her.
Awesome street tacos for great prices! Most of the menu is naturally gluten free and it’s in a fun atmosphere. The chips and guacamole are celiac safe too, as there is nothing else fried on the menu. Get the special margarita as well.
