We were looking for a solution for gluten free food in Bologna. The Vecchio Mercato restaurant met the requirements because it is an AIC certified restaurant. We came at different times for lunch. Let's start by saying that the pasta they offer is all homemade. There are appetizers, first and second courses, both meat and fish and finally also desserts and ice creams, always made by them and NOT packaged. We took some aubergine appetizers (croquettes, parmigiana and rolls) all with excellent flavor and tasty enough to make you want to have more. But let's go slowly. The first ones. The maccheroncini with bacon and the very tasty Bolognese balanzoni gave no hint of a different flavor compared to a dish made with classic flours. Huge portions!!!! Here too, for the flavor (and if there had been some room in the stomach) we would have taken another portion. The seconds. The bacon with a bed of polenta cooked to perfection, balanced in flavor and very tender meat, so much so that it could be cut with a fork and finally the Petroniana cutlet. Well, do you know ceramic trays? Well it was full of meat, here too cooked to perfection and loaded with ham (for those who know it, you know what I'm talking about) we struggled to finish it!! And finally the desserts... I repeat, the difference with those made with wheat flour is absolutely not noticeable! The staff, knowledgeable and kind, made us feel at home, even recommending dishes, which turned out to be excellent advice on pairings! A 10 out of 10 for the Vecchio Mercato!
Enjoy homemade pasta in a charming spot with friendly vibes and generous portions, perfect for a relaxed meal any time of day.

We received a recommendation today for the best Lasagna Bolognese in Bologna - it was correct. We had a fantastic meal tonight at La Capriata. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and we were offered a dedicated Gluten Free menu which was a nice touch. All four of us really enjoyed our dinner.
Large, inviting space offers a great variety of dishes and is known for its standout pizza, making it a popular spot in town.

We were there for lunch on a weekday, basically a 'luxury' company canteen, i.e. everything well organized and good food, self-service and very cheap prices. We went there because it also offers the possibility of eating gluten-free.
Experience a cozy, authentic Italian vibe with exceptional service and a menu packed with local specialties in a charming, historic setting.

Finally I also find an AIC certified place in Parma that can satisfy my celiac needs!! I'm just sorry I found out so late. I will be a regular customer from now on!
For now I have only tasted the fried gnocco and the pizza, both EXCELLENT! I will return with pleasure.
World-renowned for its crust, this spot boasts a remarkably fast service, even when bustling.

bread, pizza, desserts and first courses: all gluten-free, all made by them, all truly delicious, in my opinion!
being a take away it naturally doesn't have table service, but the welcome and smile of these girls makes it a pleasure to go and get food at the counter
A cozy spot near the historic center, it offers a warm atmosphere, unique dishes, and a welcoming vibe that feels like home.

We have been using Gluten Free Capricci for over ten years. My daughter is severely allergic to milk proteins and eggs, as well as being celiac, and has never had any problems. Always very attentive and available. Thanks to them my daughter was able to eat things that would otherwise be impossible: cappellacci and tortellini, as well as numerous cakes for the most special events and the fantastic vegan brioches, including pistachio ones, a dream! Seriousness and professionalism! Highly recommended
Indulge in a wide array of mind-blowing desserts and ice cream, all meticulously crafted with high-quality ingredients and unique flavors.

I purchased a gluten-free cake at the "La Favola Senza Glutine" store in Forlì, and the choice was really difficult because there were so many cakes with different flavors and sizes, always produced by "Il Gelatino" of Mirandola.
The cake was something spectacular, super good and well made.
You can feel that the highest quality products and raw materials have been used, and even from the external appearance of the dessert you can perceive that the workmanship is done with precision and dedication.
The taste was truly exceptional, and you don't notice the difference at all with "normal" desserts.
This cake in particular was made up of a sponge cake at the base, hazelnut ice cream and cream inside and an external icing adorned with chopped hazelnuts.
I will definitely be purchasing more in the future!
