If you are GF, this is the place; everything is gluten-free. We happened upon the summer menu filled with fresh ingredients. Highly recommend the cheddar biscuits, the beet appetizer, the braised short ribs, finished with the chocolate torte. Unique selection of cocktails, and the wine menu is extensive. My glass of Malbec was very good. Service was attentive, personable, yet not always in your space. Highly recommend!

We had a great dinner at Addissae tonight. We ordered the vegetarian platter for two and everything was delicious. The staff were gracious and we had the pleasure of chatting with the owner after dinner. I was really pleased to learn their injeera was gluten-free, as well, since many restaurants use wheat blends. We’ll be back often!

Went in for dinner tonight and got a table for 3 after maybe a 10 min wait, which was amazing. The host was super friendly and got us situated. Our server (Asil) greeted us with waters and sold us on hibiscus teas, stating if we didn’t like them we could swap them out. We ordered pretty quickly after. We ordered cauliflower for an appetizer, falafel gyro (gluten free) with potatoes, lamb gyro (gluten free) with a side Greek salad, and a chicken kabob platter (no dietary restrictions). I expressed our gluten sensitivity to the server. She seemed to be understanding of what we needed. After that she never came back except to drop the dishes and I mean literally drop. Halfway off the table. No check back, no water refills, nothing. I realized upon trying my salad there were croutons, which I can’t have. We waited, waited and waited. The whole table finished everything (minus my salad) and still no sign of our server. It wasn’t until another server overheard me say “I guess our server forgot us?” that anyone checked back at all. She took the salad and went to correct it. We sat there a while longer and then our server finally came over. I explained the salad issue. She said “yeah the salad has croutons” like I was supposed to know that even after a full discussion about me being gluten sensitive. She eventually came back with the salad…dropping it as if I was wrong for having an issue. It was almost confrontational. I’m not sure how else to describe it. Everyone else at the table had long since finished their meals so I asked for a box. She stormed back over with 4 boxes. “I brought different sizes because I don’t know what you need.” Over the treatment from the server, who literally didn’t provide service throughout the entire meal, I got up and brought her my card. I asked “have I offended you in some way?” A nearby server promptly quipped “no one’s offended we’re just really busy” to which our server said “yeah I was just really nervous because your salad was taking so long.” I responded stating she never checked on us once… Long story short…the food was excellent…BEWARE if you have dietary restrictions though….the service however was so poor that at that price point we won’t be back.

I’ve been coming here for the gluten free donuts for a few years. This morning I ordered a decaf coffee drink to go with them. I didn’t notice on the menu it said 4oz which was the size of a shot glass. That is my fault for not noticing it and it actually made me laugh when it came out. I was going to learn my lesson and drink this tiny drink. However, after trying it the decaf was burnt and gross. Instead of asking her to remake it, I asked for half a cup of steamed milk to combine it with to cancel out the burnt flavor and make it bigger. The barista was rude and told me she’d have to charge me for the milk, which I pushed back on. Eventually she gave me the milk but her anger while making it made me uncomfortable and upset. Most places would offer to make a new drink for you, not fight you over 1/2 cup of steamed milk. Normally, the staff here has been nice so maybe it was an off day but it makes me want to stick to just donuts next time.

My hands down FAV place in Asheville for lunch. The Reuben in gluten free bread is FANTASTIC! With gluten restrictions in my diet, I was over the moon to find a place that offered this- only place I have EVER found a gluten free Reuben. The corner beef is lean, juicy, and DELISH! I always ask for extra pickles on the side, and they oblige with no problem. Fast, friendly, and fresh! Lots of great sides too, which change daily. I have never had ANYTHING from there that was bad. And, they are reasonably priced for AVL. They also offer half sandwiches too for a lighter appetite. Do yourself a favor and grab some lunch there next time you're in town!

So good, I went there twice in the three days I visited Asheville. Walking in you immediately notice the mouth watering (to me) wood smoke scent. If, like some people I know, you dislike smoke, this Japanese smokehouse is not for you. I sat at the bar and went early. Service was attentive, and they remembered me and welcomed me back on my second visit. I tried the navy strength G&T, very tasty. Maybe more than the "Barking up the right tree", at least to me. Maybe I was feeling bitter that day? The trout was just perfect. Grilled fillets on skewers. Moist, medium rare, so tasty. Not a huge portion, but it was good for me by myself. Baby back ribs were bone in, with yakitori sauce and scallions. Sweet and savory, moist and perfectly done. The were six ribs which I couldn't finish myself. Marinated Beet salad was yummy - golden beets not red made the next day less scary. If you've eaten a lot of red beets, you know what I mean. Grilled mushrooms were really tasty, but a pretty small portion. Broccoli rabe was kinda fibrous, and the bacon topping was not crispy and kinda hard to eat with it. Maybe reconsider this one in the menu. Finally, the coconut cake by Chef Mom was so good. Butter cream frosting. Coconut ice cream on the side. The lady with celiac sitting next to me was green with envy. I felt a little bad.

The brisket is to die for it. On their sign they specifically state that they are gluten free with their meats and sauces. Absolutely love that. The brisket was smokey, not too fatty and so tender. I really also liked their coleslaw. It is the only gluten free side, wish they had other options but I'm happy they have something.

Great pizza! 2 of us had dinner on a Friday. They have gluten free options, and I could not tell the difference in the dough compared to my non-gf option! Both pizzas were a hit, both needed a box to go home. Plenty of beers to choose from. You can eat indoor or outdoor (covered) and dogs were in the outdoor part (a positive for me!). Staff were friendly. Not the cheapest pizza place, but the quality is worth it in my opinion! Recommended.

Curate is one of the better dining experiences we have had in Asheville. I took a friend there for her birthday and it was a most pleasant experience. The interior of the restaurant is expansive with several different rooms, yet it feels intimate. I was happy to notice that there were several tables for larger parties - after all, small plates are more fun when you share! We chose 3 different small plates and two large plates. The mushrooms and pork were our favorites but all food is carefully prepared and food is high quality. Wine list is on the pricy side. I am medically gluten free and there were several options that were available, and our server pointed out options that could also be made gluten free. For dessert we received a gorgeous custom made cake on a pedestal - it was small (about 3 inches in diameter) but was extremely rich and was ample for the two of us. Would definitely to return to sample different dishes! Tip - go early - it gets crowded quickly. When we left there was an hour wait. Reservations a must.

Such a fun place with amazing food! We got the wonton soup and my youngest ate every last drop. The lamb kabobs and kimchi were great. The fried rice was good and the korean seafood noodles were delicious and spicy. But the winner for our family was the ma li tang (mung bean noodles). They are gluten free and do not cause any reaction the way white rice or oats can for some people. The sauce was amazing. I had mine with tofu, my kids with chicken and it was like a hug in a bowl! My husband and I are learning Chinese and heard the owner is from China so..... 我的 家人 爱 你的 饭馆。谢谢 你!😊🥰
