I generally like it here, and overall our server was great, but we had asked for a gluten free menu because one of our party has celiac, and failing to locate the menu we had been told was available the server said she would just verbally tell us the choices.
My point being that there was no confusion that our friend needed her food to be GF. When her dinner came, the server put it down, then picked it right up and said “that isn’t for you”.
She took it back to the kitchen and replaced it few minutes later with an explanation that she had not told the kitchen to make it GF when she put in the order.
That was potentially a big problem for our friend, and I think the restaurant should be more diligent in managing dietary problems. Our friend would have been sick all night had the server not caught it in time.
Otherwise a great dinner. Thanks!

I recently visited the Mad Hatter Winery & Smokehouse in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. This neat little restaurant and bar is nestled in the charming town of Jim Thorpe, offering a perfect blend of hospitality and quality.
The staff at Mad Hatter Winery were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making our visit even more enjoyable. We tried their "adult slushies," which were the perfect refreshment after a hot day exploring the town. The flavors were fantastic, and they truly hit the spot!
In addition to their refreshing drinks, Mad Hatter Winery & Smokehouse is known for its delicious smoked meats, fresh salads, and seafood, all crafted from local ingredients. Their menu includes options for everyone, including gluten-free and vegetarian choices, ensuring a satisfying meal for all guests. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, with outdoor seating available, making it a great spot to unwind.
Overall, I highly recommend Mad Hatter Winery & Smokehouse for anyone visiting Jim Thorpe. It's a 5-star spot that combines great food, friendly service, and a welcoming environment. Don't miss out on this gem in a cute little town!
This spot shines for its quick service, even during rush hours, and has a vibrant atmosphere that's hard to resist!

We had a great experience at Antonio’s Pizza in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, during our visit on a Tuesday night in August. Despite a thunderstorm brewing and a quieter-than-usual evening, our server Tracy managed everything wonderfully. She was doing double duty, making deliveries while serving us, yet everything was seamless.
Antonio’s offers gluten-free options, which was perfect for our son who enjoyed a large pepperoni pizza on a gluten-free crust. My wife and I shared the vegetable lovers pizza, which was decent. One thing to note is that they don’t have fountain drinks; everything is served in cans, and the beer comes in bottles. It wasn’t a big deal for us, though.
The place is quite popular. During the day, you can often see people waiting outside for their orders. We also stopped by another time just to check it out, and the back room was crowded.
Overall, we had a positive experience and would definitely visit again.
A bustling gem in Jim Thorpe with quick service and a standout Broadway burger that strikes the perfect balance of heat and sweetness.

I love the ambiance here. There is nostalgia here, and it's beautiful. I've been here twice. The 1st time, they were out of several things, but the food was ok. 2nd time wasn't so great. Due to a gluten allergy, my choices here are very limited. I don't eat lamb, so my only other option was a steak dinner. Of course, they were out of the steak cut on the menu. So I had to order an alternative. Unfortunately, the meat was too tough to chew. After I complained, the waitress told me that particular cut of steak is better rare. I ordered it medium well. I wish she would have shared that information with me when I ordered it. I don't typically eat steak, but it was one of the only things on the menu that was gluten-free. Had I known that particular cut was only good rare, I would not have ordered. I don't eat raw meat. However, they took care of me at the end.
Please expand your gluten-free options... even offering gluten-free buns can drastically improve options for us.
A hidden gem with delicious options and faber liquors for drinks; just ask for special requests if you visit at the right time!

Gluten free people : nothing is advertised as being GF, but if you ask the staff you might get lucky! This margarita pizza was made with a cauliflower crust and everything about it was delicious. They use faber liquors for their espresso martini so I got one and it is ranked high on my favorite list.
Would recommend stopping in if you’re lucky enough when they aren’t packed out!
