Old British pub atmosphere. Great selection of imported and domestic beers. Monday is "Gluten Free Day". All items on the menu are GF. 2 people, have been several times and have tried: chicken wings (corn flour coating), burgers on GF bun, haddock on rice with chilli sauce, curry, fish tacos (soft, corn taco), fish (GF batter) and chips, chicken on a bun. Generous portions and have loved everything that they swrve. It's a different dessert special every week: carrot cake was outstanding, turtle cheesecake was very rich and very very good. Reasonable prices: 2 dinners, 2 soft drinks, 2 imported draft beers, with tip was $70. Very welcoming and friendly staff. This place is great. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We always have such an incredible time here! Brendan has been our server the past two times and service has been excellent. He makes great recommendations & everything is so quick! I’m celiac and they take very good care with their gluten free items, and confirm it in writing when punching in the order, and a manager brings it out and specifies it’s gluten free. Food is always top notch as well. No complaints, can definitely see us becoming regulars here lol.

I was super impressed with Pur & Simple. I had never even heard of it till a friend took me there for lunch. She's a big fan. It's a place for breakfast/lunch/brunch, and the menu is huge! It also takes into consideration different people's dietary preferences and restrictions. Gluten-free options and keto meals are available, which was great for me. Unless someone is hard-wired for fast food and junk food, I can't imagine anyone not finding something great to eat here!

Great pizza! Ordered gluten-free with mushrooms, green peppers, cheese and pepperoni - the doe was great, nicely baked and very tasty. Prices are reasonable and the service is amazing and 100% customer oriented! 1-100 would rate 95 just because nothing is perfect in this world :) Great job Artisan Pizza - see you again and soon!

I have food intolerances and have very limited places I go to for takeout/dining due to cross contamination or lack of options. Sam's grill has gluten free options and use a separate fryer for their fries to avoid cross contamination. They are one of the very few burger places I have found that hasn't made me sick. Everyone working there has been very kind and friendly. Good spot to check out!

Went in with my wife and baby girl and was super stoked to buy a few pizzas. Guy comes out and we asked about the toppings and being celiac I wanted to know if some items had gluten and I as I asked he states I don’t know what has it and what doesn’t so I ask about one ingredient and he comes out with a bogus answer saying it’s all in French and has no idea what it says which is a lie owning a business of my own in the food industry in the past. I’m like ok can we have gluten free crusts and he pretends to go in the back and my wife sees he isn’t even checking to see. Comes out states they have non even though they serve 2 different types of gluten free crusts. I knew he was lying and didn’t want to serve us after i inquired about an allergy request. Be wary of this place if you have allergies and even more so for customer service which was absolutely awful. Not a place my family and I will visit again.

I recently had Hola Cafe and Market cater a small party for me and it was AMAZING! The planning and coordination was clear, easy, well organized, and very well communicated. Matthew was so great to work with, and really made sure the menu for my event was perfect! The pickup was on-time, and Matt and his brother were great at providing instructions for prep and leftovers storage. We had a taco bar with tons of toppings, mini empanadas, fried sweet plantains, and churros. The food was absolutely delicious and the talk of the party! I truly couldn’t recommend this place any more highly! Whether you’re eating in, ordering to-go, or having a party, you simply cannot go wrong here! ⭐️ Highlights for me are the mini empanadas and the arepas (both gluten free), the fried sweet plantains, and of course the tacos! ⭐️

This was our third time dining at Pepe and Lela's. It did not disappoint. From the moment you walk in and until you leave, it is an excellent experience. All of the staff are friendly and very welcoming. It's a great place for both families and date nights to large celebrations. We were served by Amanda. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and has incredibly warm personality with a great sense of humour. Amanda really connects well with the diners. We had the Ontario strawberry margarita and the house chips with guacamole to start. The margarita was so fresh and flavourful as was the guacamole. We split the chicken mole and crispy fish tacos. Both were bursting with amazing layers of flavour. We ended off the night with the lime and toasted coconut pie with coffee and espresso. I agreed to have a bite of the pie and let my husband have the rest. It turned into many delicious bites. The presentation of the pie is gorgeous as are all the different flavours. I highly recommend you make a reservation and experience this absolute gem of a restaurant. I'm going to bring our kiddos over the summer because they are celiac and there's so many gf options. Thanks Pepe and Lela's, as always, for a spectacular meal!

We stopped in here for lunch when wowed by the menu via google search of local restaurants. The decor is deep colours Muskoka cottage but the food is world class modern cuisine while drawing heavily on Canadian ingredients lobster, angus beef, bison, boar, berries, seasonal vegetables. They are great with allergies and celiac so no worry. I will be back and definitely feel good about booking a group.

Great burger joint! Ordered Rock Burger on a gluten free bun and fries (gluten free!) and both were excellent. The place is super clean and the staff very friendly and easy to talk to. I’m coeliac and I felt comfortable ordering there. Should have taken a picture because the burger was Instagram worthy but I ate it too fast… next time!

Mark at the bar is incredible! We had a reservation at a table but got there early so we sat at the bar. We decided to forgo our reservation and sit and spend our evening with this amazing gentlemen. I'm celiac and he went above and beyond to let me know what I could and couldn't have and made sure my entree was safe! We've been here a bunch of times but this by far was our best experience. Not only the staff but the food was phenomenal. Plus it was our anniversary and he made sure to bring us a Gluten free treat as a congratulations This place feels like home. Best place for a quick healthy option. Love it since my girlfriend is gluten free so there isnt much of 'fast food' option but this definitely is and its amazing. Staff is super friendly and store has a great atmosphere and neat setup.

Had a tasty frittata for lunch, with an espresso & gluten-free bread. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, and the service was great, so we decided to stay for dessert. Turtle Jack’s is a solid spot I’ve been to multiple times, often before a weekly event with a friend. The burgers are consistently good, and the staff are always friendly. The atmosphere is cozy, and pricing is reasonable for what you get. One standout item I’d recommend is their New York Style burger—it comes with a thick slice of bacon or cold cut, and it’s seriously delicious. I ordered pad thai through skip the dishes the other night and there was a little bit of a mix up in the request I made. I first have to say that it is truly one of the best and thai in Burlington!! I am also gluten free and it is completely gluten free. Upon calling the restaurant to talk about the misunderstanding in my dish, the owner himself was apologetic and came to my house to deliver a new dish. He was extremely polite and apologetic but showed so much care. During these times of a pandemic I can especially appreciate the extra care put into food being prepared. If you haven't tried them yet, I highly recommend

Had a dinner on the terrace recently. Excellent environment out there in the evening. Different vibe than inside which had a bit more energy (e.g. less leisurely). Thought the wine list was good. The crab cakes could do with a bit more seasoning and aioli. The entrees were a good size. The chocolate mousse also very yummy. They were able to accommodate a gluten free requirement on most dishes. Would return.

I hope this was just a one time experience but I felt that I needed to make a review. As someone who has celiac, it is really hard for me to eat out and I had heard great things about the food and the staff at this restaurant for accommodating for celiac people. Trust me, I know the whole spiel about there not being a guarantee about no gluten due to cross contamination but I was fine to try from the reviews I had seen on some gluten free review apps. Unfortunately, when we got there, the host (who was also the bartender) wasn't very pleased to see us, but hey, everyone has bad days. He sat us in a nearly empty restaurant other than another table so I had high hopes about the ability for my food to be made celiac safe. When we came over, he was really unfriendly and honestly I just tried to give him the benefit of the doubt until it came to our order. As I was trying to order, I have to tell people about my allergies because celiac is severe and I have nut allergies too that... yk... can kill me. As I was trying to explain to him that I have celiac, he cut me off in the middle rolling his eyes saying the whole thing about how they can't guarantee anything. This was not only rude but also belittling. Then I asked if the fries were gluten free as in are they cooked in the same fryer as gluten containing items (since it reads GLUTEN FREE on the menu when it isn't gluten free it is gluten FRIENDLY which is not for anyone with celiac or allergies so it shouldn't say that) and he cut me off again saying it was in a fryer that had gluten items so no I couldn't do that. Again, the tone was so unwelcoming and all we wanted was to explain my situation to the waiter. I further asked about the Mexican street corn salad (again, labelled GF) and he said very passive aggressively "well does it sayyy gluten free" I said "yes" and he responded "then it is." I was shocked and also sad like I am not someone who makes reviews and I know how bad restaurants are accommodating for gluten free BUT if you can't you can't! I'm not going to complain when staff can communicate that they have too much cross contamination or they aren't safe for me to eat that is fine. What ISN"T fine it belittling a 20 year old girl for trying to explain her allergies, dismissing her and not letting her finish her sentences and trying to do the order as fast as possible so he could continue to talk to another worker at the bar and play on his phone in an AGAIN nearly empty restaurant. I really do want to eat here, especially because I have heard good things about food and staff! However, it just totally made me disappointed and scared to return because I don't want to be made to feel like that in situations where I shouldn't be. I am just as deserving of being served and served safely as anyone else. I didn't catch his name but I really hope he doesn't treat anyone else like that because that was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant - my partner and I just ended up packing the food away and leaving. This is my experience and my experience alone. I am in no way saying not to eat here, I really did hear great things and still do from my loved ones, but for me as someone with celiac disease, this was beyond hurtful

This young man is an absolute legend and this chip truck is an institution. Just shared a large poutine which was massive - the chips are thick cut to hold up to the weight of the cheese and combat any risk of sogginess from the gravy. Absolutely perfect. My wife is celiac so unfortunately the gravy is not gluten free but they use a dedicated fryer for the chips. We brought it home and used our own GF brown gravy. So delicious. 10/10 highly recommend. My ONLY gripe would be that they don’t accept credit card - however he does accept email money transfer which is a great alternative for a cash/debit only setup
