A little pricey but I'm not surprised in this town especially for organic food. Also, the lunch menu is much bigger than the dinner menu but it wasn't available at dinner time which was a little annoying. But the food was great. I was happy to find gluten free pasta here.

Excellent place and delicious food!!! They never disappoint and always provide options when you have allergies or dietary restrictions. I am vegetarian and I eat delicious! My sister is gluten friendly and I also eat super as always!

A great find in La fortuna! The interior decor is soo pretty and its located just a little bit outside the main downtown area. The menu was not super big but had many great gluten free options that were clearly marked. My family tried their ceviche, shrimp rice, grilled chicken bowl and Inca salmon. Most entrees came with two accompaniments, I would recommend the salad, the dressing was so good!

Very good burritos and tacos! These are homemade and especially the spicy salsa is very tasty! Also good service (greetings to Mary). Thank you for having an extra gluten-free menu. Although they point out that it's not exclusively gluten-free cuisine, we didn't have any problems! Highly recommended!

I eat vegetarian and gluten free so I thought this was the perfect restaurant. It also said on the wall of the restaurant that the cocktails between a certain time were 2000 colones. When I asked this was only for the Margarita and the Mojito and it would cost 2800 colones. I thought this was quite special, but I had to wait for the food first. I specifically asked not to put coriander in my food. Unfortunately it still came with coriander. I said that I really didn't like the dish with coriander in it, but there seemed to be little initiative to find a solution. My husband had something with chicken, but it ended up being an expensive kind of toasted sandwich. But quickly settled when he finished eating. Unfortunately it wasn't cheap either. More than 20,000 packages paid for 2 people.

Finally something decent to eat in this country.. Good GF pizza, great GF pasta (recommending the tomato and mozzarella sauce), nice servers and what would've been a nice view if it wasn't dark out. Only dissapiontment is the additional cherge for the gluten free (1,500 colones for the 2 dishes).

The service is amazing, I've rarely met such friendly waiters. It's really fun to come here, the waiters exude Pura Vida. The food is super delicious and the smoothies are also highly recommended. When we travel, we are always looking for a restaurant where you can eat well gluten-free and which is suitable for people with celiac disease - this restaurant is perfect for that. They know their stuff very well and clean everything beforehand so that there is no cross-contamination. Highly recommended. Thank you dear team ✨🙏🏼🌮

Argentinian fare.., Excellent service, nice atmosphere and the food was great. We were not familiar with the restaurant but went with friends who have been there before and we were not disappointed. I had osobuco which I had never had before. Friends ordered steaks and said that they were delicious. My wife is gluten free and they had a pizza for her that looked good too. Recommended.

OMG. The steak was the best I have had in years. It's a wonderful restaurant. The waiter, Facundo - from Argentina, was amazingly engaging and helpful. Live music on a Tuesday night. Lovely thatched roof dining area. I would recommend The Secret Garden in a heartbeat. Very accommodating for Gluten-free options.

Chicken Shawarma plate is absolutely heavenly! Really generous portion and you can add your own salad to pick exactly what and how much you want. It’s also gluten free if you don’t have the pitta. Good value for money and a very laid back dining experience if you’re bored of formal dinners out. Would really recommend the rum, coconut and pineapple smoothie too.

I ate a gluten-free pizza which costs an extra 3500 CRC but was delicious. I ask for contamination. They said, they cook it in the same oven, but they’ll clean the tray and everything. So I ate it and had no symptoms afterwards. It also came on a wooden plate, which is also a contamination risk, but for me it was fine that day. Maybe they use these plates only for the gluten-free pizzas. The staff was really friendly and explained everything with patience.

Do not sleep on this place! My husband and I split an appetizer and two entrees and left no crumbs! Everything was delicious. The vibe / lighting could use a little work but that is my only critique. The service and the food were both fantastic. We are both gluten free and my husband is dairy free too, and we were still able to choose from almost the entire menu. As soon as we mentioned our allergies, the waitress brought the chef out to come talk to us and discuss all the ins and outs of how he could accommodate if we wanted to modify a dish. Truly a wonderful experience and the lomito saltado blew our minds. We have one more night in La Fortuna so we are coming back tomorrow!

Stopped in for a late lunch (kitchen closes at 2 pm on Sundays) and the team squeezed our order in. Extremely gluten free friendly and the food was amazing. I got the Tuna tartar and a passion fruit mango smoothie and I’ll be going back tomorrow.

Excellent place. Best pizza you will find. So much parking if you need it, parking is also available along the street. The pizza oven is large enough to accommodate regular pizza and gluten free pizza even in the same oven! Great atmosphere and garden. Drinks are excellent. Highly recommend!

Our favorite restaurant in monte verde BY FAR. We came here twice in a row and would have come even more times if we stayed in here area longer. The food was so fresh and the portions were huge🤩 for dinner they had a sea bass special with a mussel appetizer. There are also so many gluten free options to choose from!

Nice people who speak great English. Super fast delivery! But the food was not great. We ordered pizzas, some regular ones and some gluten-free/vegan ones. The regulars were average, and the gluten free ones were the worst gluten free pizzas we had ever eaten honestly, and very expensive. I hate to say that, but for our taste, that's the truth. 😢

Was amazing experience at this coffee shop. The view is unmatched. It overseas the three roads that get together right in front of it and all the action is happening in front of it. Staff was super friendly and the options for coffees are almost indefinable. Wi-Fi sucks a little bit, but can go around. A lot of gluten-free options. Super chill place.

The food is delicious, all handmade, they have gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. We tried the seitan tacos, the vetariana burger, we loved it, good portions and everything fresh. Then we had coffee with the pastry and beyond expectations, the chocolate pie made with avocado and sweet potato was delicious, highly recommended!

This place is a must-visit in Monteverde (even with the trek) don’t miss out!!! The food was INCREDIBLE!! It was also great because they were gluten-free friendly! We had the Senda Soup, Pork Chop, Beef Tenderloin and gluten free Churros for dessert and all of it was immaculate. We don’t have any notes, truly. 10/10 recommend for food alone, but on top of that, the service was incredible - very kind, funny and personable staff (Edwin was our server)! The atmosphere was lovely and relaxing and just all around great. The price is higher but it’s definitely worth it!

We enjoyed the extensive multi-ethnic menu selections. Fish & chips to shawarma to gallo pinto. Gluten-free friendly, very helpful pleasant staff, clean, airy, with a lovely patio. Falafel plate was really tasty, set off with some sumac onions and great hand-cut chips cooked in fresh oil. Chori-pan with housemade salsa and more delicious hand-cut fries and a side of fried plantains. Tried some Costa Rican craft brew Rye IPA and Triple beers - delicious! All in all a really good visit and reasonably priced for the quality of food and service.

The smoothies are very good! They also have several gluten-free desserts and the bar is very nice. The prices are a little high, but for the quality of the product and the service they offer, it is very good. Ps. They have a shower for clients, which I think is great!
