Excellent place for coeliacs! Accredited by the Norwegian coeliac association and the menu is huge! Pizzas are a great size and staff knowledgeable regarding allergens. Gluten free food is served by the waiter separately and marked with a gluten free flag marker. Super happy, would recommend to all coeliacs!

The fries were delicious, the dips were fine. The burger less so. Could use waaaay more vegetables than one leaf of salad and one slice of a tomato. The burger was not much better than well known Fastfood chains, expected more for the price. At least glutenfree / vegan options, but I can imagine there are better places to eat in Bergen for those searching for that. Obviously nice location, and service was good. But I mainly go eat for the meal.

Ordering system is super frustrating. I had gluten-free California fried chicken and it was mediocre. Other entries seemed fine. The service was good.

Løvetann is so cozy! Their food is great and so is their selection of beverages. I had a super nice red wine last time I was there. And it is one of the few places in Bergen where you get good tea (and not just a Ceylon tea bag). Love it! They are very accommodating when it comes to dietary requirements and choices. There are always several things on their menu that are both gluten free and vegan, or can be modified to fit. Thank you for being inclusive! ❤️ They also allow dogs inside which is SO nice! My little Chihuahua loves coming with me. Very easy going place with super cozy atmosphere! I highly recommend it!

All 4 at the table got cold food. Same bread on gluten-free burger bread as Macdonald's. And the burger was dry and tasted burnt. NOK 340 for something you could get at McDonald's for NOK 200. Good crockery, I think?, if we had had more time they would have fixed the problems.

Nice place, and nice staff. Ordered 1 portion. moules frites to share as a light lunch, and it was a very good amount. Lovely mussels and sauce! This dish is served with bread, and said I had to have gluten-free. The food arrives, it turns out that with celiac disease I can't eat the fries, and that when it comes to paying I have to pay 80kr extra for the gluten-free bread. Disappointing...

Needed manned counter to be certain what I ordered was gluten free. The self service machines are hard to use for such. After 10min waiting with no service at the manned order counter I left. Disappointed, a feeling often reserved for after having eaten McD.

Here you will be warmly welcomed, regardless of whether you have reserved or not. At first I thought everything on the menu said it was made with flour. But I inquired and found it no problem to cook gluten-free. As a treat in advance there was Paperdam and the carafe of water is also available everywhere, in every restaurant, without having to order it. The food tasted delicious and the price-performance ratio was appropriate. The service was great, there was nothing to complain about, a lady from Iran. Thank you very much ❤️. All in all, we are thrilled with IndiaGate. We'll be back.

Great food and service. Excellent selection of seafood. I especially enjoyed their shellfish soup, and another in our group had the whitefish soup. Both are delicious. Gluten-free options are available. Great view of the harbor to boat watch.

Terrible service and total disrespect for customers. I ordered a gluten free Margherita pizza, but after 25 minutes I got a pizza with pork - completely unacceptable. When I complained, a surly and unprofessional employee said they would make a new one. I waited over 20 more minutes, but the pizza never came. I cancelled and left. This place is completely chaotic and disorganized. Definitely not recommended.

I had a very great experince. They make great burgers that comes with fries and salad and had both many glutenfree, vegetarian and vegan options. I had a vegan burger and it tasted fantastic. The staff were competent and students get discount. I can definitely recommend it to everybody who is hungry and in town.

Only complaint is that the venue is too small! Great food and friendly staff. We ordered gluten-free bread, and they forgot this (which happens), but when we told them about this, we got a milkshake on the house and a new burger:) Super great dirty fries!!

I don’t write reviews often and I’m far from the most experienced when it comes to dining at restaurants. But visiting Allmuen was such a wonderful experience that I must needs share it! We had reserved a table beforehand after inquiring about allergies via telephone, as the party consisted of one person, me, with gluten intolerance (celiac disease), one person with gluten and lactose intolerance, a friend, and one person, my better half, that somehow likes the taste of both coriander and goat cheese. We didn’t quite arrive at the agreed time due to nightmarish traffic conditions caused by cruise boat tourists, out-of-order traffic lights, and an abominable parking garage, but our vanguard secured the table for us, and you can call if you’re delayed and aren’t fortunate enough to have someone to spearhead the effort. We were met by a very knowledgeable waiter, who not only knew about allergens, but also knew when to ask the chefs for clarification. We were recommended to stick to the three course meal for the best experience considering the replacements necessary to account for our respective allergies, and I found this to be very assuring. So armed with knowledge, we ordered a three course meal for the nonallergic among us and the house specialty for the remainder of the party, which was made gluten free. (They even asked follow-up questions about the degree of lactose intolerance, which goes to show that they know what they’re doing.) Soon after, in relative terms at least, the starter from the three course meal arrived, was introduced, and subsequently consumed with much delight. Then, the main course and the house specialty was served. And this is where my limited experience kicks in, as I don’t have any fancy words with which to describe the meal, but for me, it was absolutely sublime. I have never had a better meal. I enjoyed it to such an extent that my wife couldn’t stop smiling at the happy faces I made as I chewed the food. I relished every bite, and when it was all gone (and it was), I felt a profound sense of contentment that I have seldom felt in relation to food. But this was not to be the end of our quest! Dessert was still to come, and we all enjoyed our respective plates with much delight, and coffee! Food this great doesn’t come cheap, of course, but I think the quality more than justifies the price that is asked. Were the establishment closer to my residence in Denmark, we would surely frequent this place with some regularity. All in all, dining at Allmuen was an incredible experience. We will definitely be back!

Blue Norwegian cheese burger was surprisingly yummy! I went for a gluten free bun which wasn't perfect as it got too crumbly to hold after a while but the patty was delicious. Sweet potato fries are really nice. Average price but not on the lower end.

Very scarse selection of gluten free dishes makes this a no-go place if you need this for your diet. Following Villanis reply: When I was there only a risotto and a steak dish were the main courses marked without Wheat. No mentions of the options possible in the menu. Waiter said pizzas and pasta dishes could not be served as gluten free options. Glad if you have improved since then.

Gluten Free Review: The menu and buffet are both marked with different allergens, which is really helpful for ordering & navigating what has gluten. Many of the options are naturally gf so this was a great spot to eat. We ordered the buffet which was good and the food was cooked well. We only received 5-6 different meat options opposed to the 14 described on the menu which was why I took off a star.

Nice 1st floor restaurant close to Bergen harbour with views over the harbour. Varied menu including vegetarian and gluten free options. Our party had the chicken, halibut and barley risotto all of which were generous portions and well presented, although the risotto was slightly undercooked. Food and drink prices in line with other local restaurants, i.e. a tad pricey but average for Norway!

My partner and I had dinner here today, the staff were nice, but we reacted to poor training. My partner has coeliac disease, which means he can't eat gluten etc. When we were going to order it turned out that the waiter didn't know what this was, which is a bit strange, but we can explain it, the waiter takes you to the one who prepares the food and it turns out that they have gluten-free burger bread, great we think. We order and everything is absolutely great. We ordered a milkshake and they put biscuits in my partner's drink which wasn't supposed to have any topping, they fixed it. What we see is that despite us making it clear that my partner is allergic, they just scrape off the cream and put it back in. We feel very embarrassed so we don't say anything, but we are very doubtful about how the food will be. When the food arrives they have forgotten that my partner is supposed to have gluten-free burger bread, but they fix it. I start eating my food and see that my chicken is not cooked through. It's red inside, I ate a few bites before I got to the obvious red, and I hope I don't get sick. We of course let them know, they blame it on the chicken, make me a new meal and bring extra dressing as compensation. It seems like the training here is very poor, and I really hope you address this, it seems like you have nice employees who want to make it a nice experience, but you as a company need to make it possible for your employees to do just that.

Good burgers from Naturli, pleasant and helpful service if you have allergies and want to replace parts of the regular menu with gluten- and lactose-free ones. Very good alternative to McD and a much nicer place to eat. Outdoor space if it's sunny and Frydenlund on the tap is also a plus!
