I had a really lovely dinner date here this evening. We sat on the back patio, which is at the end of a little walkway on the side of the building. It was peaceful, quiet, and sheltered from the wind and sun, so we got to enjoy the fresh air without being too cold or hot. We went early in the evening, and had the patio to ourselves, which was a treat! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were very kind. We will definitely be coming back to try more dishes, and sending our friends there as well. It was just a really pleasant dining experience.
I have celiac disease, so I need to be very careful to avoid gluten. Nearly the entire menu is gluten free, with the few dishes that have gluten helpfully marked so that you know which ones to avoid. I felt great after the meal!
Dine in a bustling, urban casual vibe with a great variety of flavorful dishes, fresh ingredients, and good portion sizes.

Four of us had a nice dinner. The selection or choices is great and gives you some nice flavor options. Two of our group needed gluten free and the Resteraunt was very attentive and careful which was really nice. Our food came to the table a little too randomly, another words one of four entree came came five or six minutes ahead and then the next two dishes came then another five minutes and the fourth dish arrived Not a deal breaker. Everyone in our party enjoyed the meal. I found my rice noodles softer than I would have liked but don’t have enough experience to know if that is how they are served in Burma. Cost of the meal was fair and the ingredients were fresh Quantities were all good as everyone left full. Atmosphere is urban casual. With plastic chairs and patio style tables. While the staff were very busy they were also friendly.
A new favorite for date night The first time at this place we were welcomed and joked with like we were their favorite regulars of ten years. Delightful food (even gluten free options! The chef rarely thickens with wheat flour) and absolutely lovely humans. Highly recommend for a romantic and fun outing.
A chill neighborhood spot with outdoor seating, where you can enjoy a tasty meal at the window in a sunny vibe.

Grilled chicken sando on gluten-free bread with a side salad was tasty! really enjoyed a table outside in the sun. Service was fantastic, the guy working the register was funny and kind. Awesome neighborhood spot. This is an order at the window and get your own utensils kind of place, and it's great.
This spot impresses with top-notch attention to detail in food preparation, and their steak enchiladas are a must-try!

Visiting from out of state and was in the mood for Mexican food. I asked the waiter if they had a gluten free menu and after he went and asked the chef, Raul, what was gluten free, Raul came to our table and asked me about my sensitivity to gluten. I ordered steak enchiladas, and he went into the kitchen and used fresh utensils and a freshly cleaned prep area to make sure there was no cross contamination in my food. The steak enchiladas were to die for, literally the best enchiladas I have ever tasted. I have had dinner there two nights in a row and I plan to have dinner there again tonight!
No MSG Vietnamese cuisine!!!!! Le Soleil doesn't resort to using MSG, but the kitchen gently coaxes out maximum flavor instead by using fresh premium ingredients, and classic cooking techniques. This is the only place I'll have Vietnamese noodle pho soup -- they only offer one kind of Beef Pho, but the broth is MSG-free which is pretty much a rarity. Le Soleil's able to get a rich, deep and tasty broth by cooking beef bones for 10 hours (no instant beef broth cubes or canned chicken broth here). Dennis Wong, the executive chef, is very personable, relaxed, yet impeccable in how he runs the kitchen and its execution of dishes. He's been an "executive chef" for the last few decades (has other restos including one in Hong Kong), but Le Soleil is his home base. Don't let his title intimidate you, Dennis is so down-to-earth he was helping to bus my table (I came in 15 minutes before the lunch service ended) and graciously answered my questions about Le Soleil and warmly invited me back. I've been there for Lunch, Happy Hour and Dinner -- everything is delish! What I've had so far: Spring rolls; Vegetarian rolls; Imperial rolls; Spicy chicken coconut soup; Lemongrass beef over Rice Vermicelli noodles; Traditional Beef Pho; and Turmeric Crepe (aka "Banh Xeo" -- a rice flour Vietnamese crepe made with no eggs). I also really enjoyed the Garlic Roasted Dungeness crab with noodles — this is the only place I’ve come across in SF where they truly don’t use any MSG.
Many items are also gluten-free, but be sure to specify with your server if that's a health concern. The only items I didn't care for were the desserts.
Expect a unique sandwich experience with crispy rice buns and flavorful ingredients that'll leave you raving for more!

The short rib koja, a unique sandwich made from crispy rice as the buns, was one of the best things I've eaten in some time. Many an expletive of excitement was uttered while munching. The meat was moist, tender and flavorful, topped with an excellent slaw. It's easy to taste the quality of ingredients used and expertise of preparation. I'm not being hyperbolic; this is my new favorite food item in all of SF, and it's naturally gluten free which unfortunately I need, so I'm double pysched.
Beyond that, service was warm and friendly. I was promptly greeted, and asked to be helped. Though I declined, able to use the self service kiosk, and elderly gentleman behind me was guided through his order as I waited, which I appreciated.
