The service was fantastic, lovely owners who were very helpful for navigating their menu for any allergy concerns. Tons of gluten-free and vegan options. Fresh food, made to order. Great location, right off the boardwalk. Make sure to try their house sauce!
The food was good but I felt that it was pretty expensive for what it was. They had some good gluten free options and their staff was very helpful walking us thru the menu.
Enjoy unique pizza experiences with a variety of options and quick service, perfect for family hangouts or casual meals.

Love this Grottos!! They never give me a hard time about my gluten free pizza (unlike the Millsboro location). The staff is very nice and it has a chill atmosphere.
Perfect beach vibe with tasty treats, unique vinegar spray for fries, and a fun spot that knows how to keep everyone happy!

Food was delicious and reasonable for the beach! Loved how they are very great with allergies and are gluten free for celiac’s. I am very appreciative with there service when asking several questions about there procedures that prevent cross-contamination. 10/10 will be back again!

Gluten Free crust pizza was delicious. And although they were understaffed, the waitresses and kitchen did a great job. You wouldn't have known they were short staffed if they hadn't said something. 😉
A chill spot with a relaxed vibe, great service, fresh options, and a separate menu catering to diverse dietary needs—perfect for your beach trip!

Came for an early dinner for my first time ever at this sodel concepts. Location the Wednesday before Labor Day weekend 2024.
A friend who drove down from his place in downtown Rehoboth, picked me up & drove to cottage Cafe. We did not have to wait more than a minute to be seated. With a degree in hotel, restaurant MGMT myself, & over 30 yrs in the business, I'm always aware of how important it is, whether front of the house or back of the house, when it comes to the importance of first & last impressions. My normal very calm friend concerned me when after 10 minutes of us seated, me w/ my gluten-free menu, him w/ his regular menu, began to show a little bit of impatience on his face. An urgent look that I knew I needed to take action upon. B/c after more than 10 mins, we had yet to even be greeted by a single server or employee saying or acknowledging our presence, or anything like "we'll be with you shortly." Worse, 2 other tables in that far back room each were attended to w/ servers, 1 in what appeared to have a sort of server in training scenario. (In this time, they had not only given their drink orders but received their drinks & were now giving the servers their food orders.)
I got up, rushed as quickly as I could to the front door where I found 3 employees, 2 young girls and one older, possibly sat us originally - not sure- but who immediately after listening to me, asked me to take her to our table, where she immediately did everything correctly to diffuse the situation & made everything worthwhile for the rest of our stay at that establishment. It's my thought that this woman more likely than not was the mgr on duty that night. I could be incorrect but I believe her to have either a reddish or Auburn style color hair.(Not blonde, not dark). Very excellent demeanor. Not defensive whatsoever. Completely wonderfully attentive & apologetic. Was able to take our drink orders and our somewhat complex food order with no issues whatsoever of forgetting a thing .
When our server who was assigned to us did come to greet us: she did apologize very genuinely. And to let me know the french fries, although listed on my Gluten-Free menu, that it's in fact a menu error/ cross-contamination issue. Was very happy with the side choice that I went with- Your coleslaw. Which was/is just slightly better than the batch I tried when I had food delivered the night before from Northeast seafood and kitchen.
I was really wanting to have salmon. But unfortunately that was not on the gluten-free menu. Your kitchen went above & beyond, Pan searing the jerk salmon entree to perfection except without the jerk seasoning per my request. My friend absolutely raved about his scallops entree- also raving about the seasonal vegetables, & happy that he could take home a little bit of each as he was unable to finish his entire entree!
Always enjoy your homemade sodas- root beer is excellent! Wished that they were still available by the bottle but that's being nitpicky. It was a little disappointing, however that both at Blue Coast and at cottage Cafe stock was down significantly on the four options that were normally available. You were completely out of at least two of the options at both places. I guess I would have thought that the Wednesday leading up to a Labor Day weekend you would have had a full stock of all of the sodas. Looking forward to a time when I can try the...it was either black cherry vanilla or cherry vanilla soda.
Expect fresh, flavorful dishes and creative homemade sodas, making it a go-to spot with great atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Our second time eating here and we will keep coming back. Food is excellent - fresh, clean, flavorful. Prices are reasonable. Service was top notch. Our waitress (Megan) was simply the best...she absolutely took care of my wife's celiac needs and was just a delight to talk with. She should be highly valued by her employer. Campfire cake! Save room for that one!
Experience a cozy vibe with great atmosphere, where delicious flavors and fun mocktail options transport you to Italy on the outdoor patio.

DIFEBOSSSS!!! My family came here last night and had the best time. Our waiter Julia was so kind and funny. She knew the menu top to bottom and was able to give us recommendations for every person. She even had tried all of the mocktails and could recommend drinks to our underage family members. We sat on the outdoor patio and highly recommend it, fantastic atmosphere. Between the soft Italian instrumental music and delicious bread and olive oil, we felt like we had been transported to Italy. All of our drinks and food were amazing. The flavors were robust and you can tell these home cook recipes have lasted since 1989 for a reason. They are DELICIOUS! We recommend the Chicken parm, anything in the Bob’s sauce or Vodka sauce, (although everything is great) and for dessert we LOVED the tiramisu, chocolate mousse tarte, and espresso martinis. This place is great for gluten allergies despite the gluten heavy cuisine! This has become a staple for us now when we visit Bethany. We can’t recommend the grocery store enough across the street as well! We have been getting coffee and pastries for breakfast on vacation there for two years now!!! We love you difebo’ssssss

Wonderful food, friendly staff, great location. Wonderful place to come for an early dinner with kids, or later in the evening for dinner and drinks. Food and drinks are all delicious. I love the range of gluten-free options and how knowledgeable and friendly the staff are about allergies.
Great customer service. We were a party of 14. The manager and waiter were courteous and accommodating. Two of our party are gluten sensitive. The manager personally discussed food choices and explained how their meals would be prepared.
Everyone enjoyed their meals, seafood and other.
It's a small restaurant so it might be crowded in the summer but we went in October and got right in. Definitely, a place to try again and again.
First time here, dining out on the deck on Memorial Day 2021 and LOVED IT! Molly, our server, was EXCELLENT, attentive and service was FAST! She expertly helped me navigate the menu around my dietary restrictions. My gluten free crabcakes were delicious and had no fillers and NO SHELLS or cartilage whatsoever! The tomato/crab soup was unique and according to my husband, one of the better crab soups he's had.
Expect a lively atmosphere for special occasions, but be wary of unexpected credit card fees and mixed meal experiences.

My biggest frustration that you should know about is the credit card service fee. Where have restaurants started to get away with charging their customers for a business expenses. If you're going to do this you need to put it on your website so I can choose not to come. All that does is reduce the amount I'm going to leave as a tip which isn't fair to the server but I'm sorry I'm not paying your restaurants normal business expenses. Now for the actual review. I came here for the first time with my husband and another couple to celebrate my birthday and the birthday of one of our friends. The service was great and they were able to accommodate my gluten free diet so that's a plus. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and a few cocktails all which were good. Appetizers were good and soup was a big portion and very good. Here are the areas that could have been better in addition to not changing a credit card fee. The steak my friend ordered was a small portion compared to everyone else's meals which were quite big and his steak was overcooked. When that feedback was provided I would have expected the restaurant to do something to make up for it. He didn't want it redone but when a meal doesn't't come out as ordered some sort of compensation should be provided. My meal was big but a bit bland as was my husband's. We were celebrating two birthdays and offering us a drink or dessert would have been the classy thing to do.
A hidden gem with outstanding seafood that leaves everyone raving about their meals and can't wait to return for another amazing experience!

Okay- so this place is a GEM. My husband and I were on the prowl for good seafood and we were absolutely not disappointed. I had the sautéed scallops and sautéed shrimp on a salad and let me tell you, the seafood was amazing. My husband had the stuffed flounder and he said it was the best he had ever had. And the service was exceptional, the young man who took our order was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I’m gluten free so I had a lot of questions and he was very knowledgeable! Made sure he got my order right. We will DEFINITELY be coming back! Thank you for an incredible and delicious experience.
