Love having a taste of South America in dc! Sometimes the arepas are a bit tougher than usual, but the flavors are always delicious and I love that they have sauces you can buy to take home. And so much gluten free!!
With unique kiosks for easy ordering and a mind-blowing array of toppings, you'll experience tacos that are a game changer for any taco lover!

Obsessed with this place. Was in Dulles for two weeks and managed to get down to DC twice and went to District both times. I had their breakfast tacos the first time and their regular tacos and chips/guac the second time. You order on kiosks which is fun and easy and get to choose between like 25 different topping options. Their corn tortilla tacos come double wrapped and all bundled up together so they taste authentic and delicious. I got pretty much all the toppings. Their medium salsa is to die for. They have impossible chorizo and an option to select Gluten Free which was amazing. The guacamole was flavorful with a nice hint of lime. I love a good taco but these tacos were life changing🤌🏼

The must visit bagel/coffee place in Georgetown!
From Food, service, atmosphere, this place deserves 5 stars.
They have many breakfast and lunch bagel sandwiches even gluten free options.
I tried the mountain view on a maple salt & pepper bagel it was delicious!
The bagel was so chewy, eggs were fluffy and lakes were crispy and salty & sweet bagel just made your morning happy!
(Original serve in plain bagel so ask for maple salt& pepper bagel)
If you are chocolate lover, try the chocolate babka muffin. Freshly baked and it has layers unlike regular muffin with chocolate swirls.
I also tried the signature maple french Toast latte and it is not too sweet and not too hot just perfect combination of coffee with touch of maple taste. you should definitely try!
Special shout out to Michael who is the best!!! He was so kind, friendly and helpful. He definitely made my morning even brighter:)
Such a cute pink house you can’t miss it!

If you have severe celiac disease like I do, this is the best and safest place I know to get a good sandwich. Just ask for one of the softest gluten free subs they have.
Everything is so flavorful here. My go to rice plate is usually, chicken roti, red cabbage, hummus, feta with tzatziki and red pepper sauce. My partner has Celiac disease and at some places we get eye rolls and sighs from people when we ask them to wash their hands a change their gloves. Not at Roti though. They are super accommodating and take all practical precautions to prevent cross contamination from wheat.
Enjoy a unique dining experience with exceptional service and expert knowledge on special dietary needs in a lively atmosphere.

Very Celiac friendly! Their fries and cooked in a separate fryer and they have gluten free buns that are so good I did a double take thinking it wasn’t gluten free.
Hamburger and chicken sandwich place with gluten free options.
They even place the gluten free items on a separate tray if you tell them it's allergy related.
Expect a unique pizza experience with creative combinations and a vibe that makes you want to dig in before snapping a pic!

The chicken roti bowl was excellent!! I did not get my gluten free pita as they put a regular one in my 2nd day's order so that was frustrating but the food was great and my pick up order was fresh. The gluten free pita I did get on the 1st order was great!
The grilled chicken club (w/ Colby jack cheese) with a gluten-free bun is so good. The chicken is tasty, it's not dry and the lettuce is fresh. The bun isn't really needed either, delicious without it

My partner and I were in town visiting and stopped by the Capitol Hill location given their connection to the bike racing scene. My partner has a gluten allergy and we were very explicit about substituting corn tortillas for flour and holding the fries (cross contamination in the fryer) in the breakfast tacos. After their first bite they realized it was too late - there were fries in the tacos and thus they were contaminated with gluten. I am extremely disappointed at the lack of attention to allergens and we will not be coming back nor recommending this restaurant to anyone who has a food sensitivity. The bright side of the situation is that the homeless man sitting outside got a free meal!
A beloved spot for its hearty servings, albeit a bit pricier than its competitors.

If you have celiac or a gluten allergy, please do not go here. I would say I've requested a gluten free bun 8 times at this location, and every time it has been a normal one. I've been to other locations where they do pay attention and accommodate gluten free buns on the burgers. You pay extra for a "gf bun" while you are being ripped off-- even when if you specifically mark that you have a gluten and wheat allergy/sensitivity. To whoever manages the store, please stop offering gluten free buns if you are continually making people sick.

The food here is amazing! The ambiance is a little less than ideal but it’s a small and busy space, so it works! Maybe some ambiance music would elevate the experience?
Other than that, this place is the absolute best spot for gluten free and vegan items! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, especially the seasonal shakes are a must!
I like five guys and I usually get burger or hotdog wrapped with lettuce. Their fries and the base milkshake are gluten free. You can check and search online for gluten free options in five guys.
Happy hour vibes are on point here, with cozy indoor space and chill outdoor seating, plus a solid selection of beers and a full bar.

Went here for happy hour and it was great. They have indoor and outdoor seating . We sat inside but honestly it was warm and we wished we had sat outside. Our server was really nice. They have gluten free buns ( I didn’t have a burger) but our friend did and it looked amazing. We did order buffalo and dry rub wings and they were really good. They also have lots of beers ( including beer flights) and a full bar.

No one beats Chick-fil-A drive-thru service! There's 20 to 30 other cars in the line I still only takes five or six minutes to get my food. And that's even though I have a gluten-free allergy order! Food is always delicious, hot, and correct!
I'm rating this on the fast food scale 🙂. It is a regular Chick-fil-A. It's fast when there isn't a line and it is tasty. Kids love tenders and nuggets, I enjoy tenders, and wife with celiac disease can eat the grilled chicken sandwich with gluten free bun and the fries are not cooked in a shared fryer so she can eat those too.
Fresh and flavorful, this spot is a must-visit for a hearty meal to fuel your museum adventures.

I'm not from the DC area but stopped by with the family to get something to eat. The menus are poorly described. Having a family member with allergies, soy and gluten, their menus don't accurately describe what is in the dishes. Once we received the dishes, and found soy in our bowls even though they were NOT outlined in the menu...we brought it to the attention of the staff.
We were told oh well, we already made the bowl and that's how we make it. He also explained that the cooking staff has no control over the menus and they just make the food as told. Choosing to not make a scene, we wanted to order something else but specifically asked if the purity bowl could be made without the edamame. The staff explained it doesn't matter because all the dishes were made in soy oil anyway (including the ones we already ate).
Definitely a 0 star restaurant - poor presentation of the food, poor description of the menus, and horrible horrible customer service.
In my 30 plus years as plant based, this was the worst restaurant experience to date. Buyer beware.
Carry-out rules the day with a diverse menu that promises delicious options, perfect for a relaxed meal at home.

The food from here was amazing! Everything is carry out, but the menu was great! I got a veggie omelette with potatoes as a gluten free and vegetarian option. My partner got a breakfast platter. Looking forward to coming back!

It was clean inside and the service was fantastic! We wanted something quick and tasty and the subs were delicious! I didn't know they had gluten-free bread now! I'll be back!

Solid Mediterranean bowls, salads, and pitas topped with a variety of fresh ingredients and perfect for a relatively tasty, quick, and affordable meal. The concept is pretty similar to CAVA -- you can either build your own by choosing a base, main, and toppings, or you can pick from one of their chef-curated options. I usually opt to build my own with their salmon fillet or roasted butternut squash over kale, and topped with all the veggies and hummus. All of their veggies are super fresh, and their sauces all pack a ton of flavor (watch out for the spicy ones -- they actually are quite spicy). Their salmon fillets tend to be very small and a touch dry, as I assume they've been sitting under the heat lamp for a while, but they still pack a good flavor.
Although the food is solid, it's generally not my first choice for fast-casual Mediterranean fare, as (1) they're not always aware of which allergens are in their food, and (2) despite being a fast-casual spot, service can often be quite delayed.
Starting with the first -- the staff is wonderful at handling dietary restrictions; they'll put on new gloves, make sure your order is on a clean service (i.e., new foil or bowl), and avoid working on other orders at the same time as yours. However, I'm worried they haven't been told what all the allergens are in all of their ingredients. For example, I've received their gluten-free falafel pita box at several catered office lunches, and, unfortunately, ended up feeling pretty sick afterwards. Although I appreciate that they have a gluten-free pita (although it does taste pretty dismal) and that they have gluten-free options for desserts and sides, I don't believe their falafel is gluten-free (or maybe it's something in the rice or one of the toppings...I'm not entirely sure what it is or if there's just some cross-contamination, but something in those boxes definitely isn't sitting right with me).
Beyond dietary restrictions, the only other drawback to Roti is that it's not always as speedy as advertised, which is not at all the fault of the employees. Every time I go in, there are usually only 1-2 people working the entire restaurant, fielding a slew of both in-person and mobile orders. This naturally creates a delay in getting out all orders; for example, I'll sometimes wait upwards of 30+ min. for a line of five or so in-person customers because the staff is so swamped with mobile orders. On the flip side, if you get a mobile order, definitely go to pick it up instead of using their delivery service (which includes third-party apps like UberEats, as Roti opts to use their own drivers for those services). I usually have to wait over 45 min. for a delivery order, despite the quoted wait time of 15 min. and that my apartment is less than 2 miles away from the restaurant.
All in all, I think Roti is a solid place for fresh, flavor-packed Mediterranean bowls, salads, and pitas. However, I would recommend caution if you have dietary restrictions or if you're in a huge rush.
Ended up here on accident and I am not sorry! The best fries I have ever had. All fries are pretty much the same, oil and potato. But not these, so well flavored and clearly made fresh! Be sure to try the Old Bay dipping sauce as well! And the burger was also very good. No gluten free buns but they do lettuce wraps!
Employees here are very helpful and friendly. With a gluten allergy all line employees changed their gloves and even tosted my soft shell corn tacos beteen two pieces of tinfoil as to avoid cross contamination. Could not recomend this location more highly!
Known for its whole and low-processed menu, this spot offers a unique mix of refreshing drinks and flavorful sandwiches in a lively atmosphere.

I go to these restaurants in Miami. Didn't know they were in DC now. I went here for the spicy tuna salad sandwich on a gluten-free bun. I ordered a smoothie called the nutty. I ordered a cold pressed green juice called green tonic. I ordered a ginger and turmeric shot. Overall, I like the food being mostly whole or low processed. generally good

They always have really nice people working, always get our order right and help to keep things moving pretty quickly. They’re gluten-free options for breakfast are great, because I also like to get it without me so the breakfast bowl with eggs and hashbrowns is amazing. My partner loves the regular breakfast wrap for non-gluten free folks.
24 hour tacos!? What is there not to love about this?! Limited outdoor seating, so this place ideal for grab and go. Food was amazing. Lots of options including gluten free (not strict allergy) as well as vegetarian and some that could be made vegan.
