Had a nice evening with delicious food. The gluten-free diet of one of the guests was well taken into account. There was also plenty of choice for him. His bread was delivered separately from our bread and packaged. The nut allergy was also well taken into account. Definitely recommended!

We wanted to spend a pleasant evening at the restaurant; my wife is gluten intolerant. Their website stated that they serve gluten-free pasta, so we had made a reservation in advance and were looking forward to it. When we arrived at the restaurant, we sat down and wanted to order. Then they told us they didn't serve gluten-free pasta, even though it was listed on the menu. The service wasn't particularly friendly either. We had to quickly find another restaurant, which isn't easy with a gluten intolerance!

We dined with family. It is an extremely busy dining room. Food, staff was fantastic. The staff were attentive and had baked gluten free bread and ensured the gluten free meals were just that. So delicious 😋

Review about the restaurant. Very tasty food. Group of 16 people. 1x vegetarian and 1x gluten-free. Well organized, also in terms of gluten-free approach. There was an allergens menu and GV food was brought separately. Recommended!

Great place that we have been visiting for years. Our room (Superior) was a nice size and the jacuzzi was wonderful, as we know from this hotel. The extra step that chef Fred went to at the breakfast buffet was really fantastic. While I was looking at gluten-free options, he spoke to me in a friendly manner. During our short conversation, he spontaneously suggested baking pancakes and adding a piece of gluten-free pastry. He asked about my preferences and said 'I'll make a plate of treats for you'. Fred understands that eating with an allergy sometimes means that things are significantly less tasty or difficult within your diet. He spared neither time nor effort during a busy 'breakfast rush' to be able to offer me a breakfast that was at least as tasty as the one that other guests enjoyed. I felt seen and touched by this man who goes that extra mile to make people come back. I know that I will!

Booked a lunch buffet last week and indicated in advance that one person would eat dairy-free and one person would eat gluten-free. The chef himself came to give a tour of the do's and don'ts and separately a gluten-free sandwich and gluten-free croquette were baked and for the other person a carpaccio was made without milk and a milk-free croquette was baked. Furthermore, the buffet was top class. Top! Definitely recommended!

The staff are so warm and hospitable, really super nice. Unfortunately the room was not done yet and was dirty, but we got another room without any problems, because "that is not the intention, our sincere apologies" yes that is good service The breakfast is so delicious, we often come to breakfast without staying overnight. Very extensive, with really so much choice. Also for gluten-free a mega extensive choice. And it was so tasty that there was also chocolate milk. And those tasty snacks and fruit. Yogurt, cottage cheese, nuts etc. etc. Various egg dishes, they make a fresh omelette for you on the spot with ingredients that you put together yourself, mushrooms peppers tomatoes, coffee with regular or oat milk, etc., well, go and have breakfast yourself and feast your eyes. I advise you to first walk around the buffets extensively and then fill your plates

I was traveling in Maastricht for business and was booked into a hotel here. I'm beyond thrilled! The hotel is incredibly clean, the rooms are very luxurious and spacious (freestanding bathtub, high beds, etc.), and the free parking right in front of the hotel is a real plus! The wellness and sauna area is also very clean and pleasant, with water dispensers and fresh towels on site! The breakfast was also delicious, and gluten-free options are available upon request! All in all, I'm really thrilled! Great hotel & highly recommended!

Once again a wonderful renewed van der Valk experience! The hotel is conveniently located to reach both De Koog and Den Burg by bike. Bicycles can be rented through the hotel, great! Tip: rent the bike before the arrival day and get to Texel on time. You cannot yet check in to your room, but you can already set off by bike from the hotel. The appearance of the hotel is luxurious and new. Large spacious rooms with coffee and tea making facilities, small fridge and a comfortable bed. Temperature was very pleasant in our room while it was 25 degrees outside. Breakfast was delicious, including gluten and lactose free options. More care must be taken to ensure that this is replenished. Unfortunately, there was no more lactose-free yoghurt on the 2nd day :-( Room service was lovely too! According to the staff, this could be ordered via the tablet in the room, but it kept cutting out when I took it out of the charger. Ordering room service via reception is the fastest. Big compliment to the friendly staff. The hotel is dog friendly, upon arrival there was a dog mat and bag with a toy, some treats and poop bags in the room, really great!

Nice place with a view for breakfast (didn't stay at hotel). Both gluten-free and with traditional, thick slices of brown bread, we enjoyed generous portions of scrambled eggs for a reasonable price. With delicious cappuccino.

For people with celiac disease. Ate here today, the service was really good and friendly! The chef himself came up with the idea that if I wanted something straight from the kitchen, that was no problem. (It was a walking buffet, beads of sweat were already on my forehead). I was allowed to indicate what I liked and received a fantastic plate full of delicious food! I really recommend this 10000%.

What a great hotel! Very good service, beautiful rooms. We even stayed an extra night. The breakfast is super extensive and for people with (gluten) allergies there is also enough choice and they think along. The only thing missing is a swimming pool and a covered roof to the restaurant, because you have to go outside all the time. We enjoyed it. Thank you!
