Review is about the restaurant not hotel so can't comment on the rooms. But 5* ratings is for the food!
Had a brilliant evening here on Saturday night. Booked in advance which I'd recommend as it's not huge and did get busy. The staff were super helpful, we had a variety of servers throughout the night but we're all knowledge about allergies. As listed on their website nearly the whole menu can be made gluten free. Lots of things are naturally gluten free. You can't the pie, ravioli or toad in the hole. They have gf bread and crackers so the other options can be adapted. I had the fish and chips, salad and Knickerbockerglory. So tasty!!!
On a side note, there was a really rude guy next to us who was really blunt to staff serving their wine and complained about his steak. The staff were beyond professional and didn't get flustered, they don't deserve that from customers as they are so polite and friendly. So just a shout-out to everyone working on Saturday 3rd July!!

We did not stay at the hotel. (I added 5 stars for the sake of clarity) We sat in the restaurant. We tasted almost the entire menu. Everything is beautiful. Pizzas are amazing. There are gluten-free options. Cocktails are very enjoyable

Our family enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the Mousetrap Inn pub. The proprietor was incredibly friendly and helpful and really helped to make our time here memorable. She also made my gluten intolerant wife feel right at home with lots of options that she could safely enjoy. Our meals were all delicious and beautifully presented. The management here truly cares about providing a great experience for their customers and we would not hesitate to return when next in the area.

THE DIAL HOUSE RESTAURANT - We approached the staff and asked if they could accommodate a family member who suffers from Coeliac. They presented a menu and ticked the items that she could have. We accepted this on face value. We entered the premises and were seated at a table. Bottled water was present on the table and another family member ordered a coffee. When we started to order the food a totally different attitude by the female (no names mentioned). Oh you cannot have this or you cannot have that as contains gluten. A total different story to what was presented to us at the start. The attitude of the female who was trying to control the ordering of the food was absolutely shocking. We decided not to proceed as what was presented was extremely limited and would not be adequate to the Coeliac member of the family. The woman was arrogant, obnoxious and very unfriendly, made us fell not welcome at all.
Then to top this off, on departure we were presented a bill for £19.00 for one coffee & a bottle of water. Absolutely shocking !!
We paid the £19.00 and left as we did not want any hassle. A disgusting unwelcoming attitude.
AVOID AVOID AVOID THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU ARE IN THIS BEAUTIFUL AREA OF THE COTSWOLDS.
