Our waiter was incredibly friendly and went out of his way to accommodate my wife's dietary restrictions due to celiac disease. He provided a gluten-free menu and ensured that the kitchen was aware of her needs. He made excellent wine recommendations and checked in on us throughout the meal to ensure we were enjoying our experience. As for the food, we were blown away by how delicious and beautifully presented each dish was. The shishito peppers were perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of salt to complement their savory flavor. The calamari was tender and flavorful. The mussels were plump and juicy, and the broth was rich and flavorful. The scallop ceviche was a standout dish, with fresh, bright flavors and delicate textures. For dessert, we couldn't resist trying the creme de catalan, which was a perfect ending to the meal. We paired it with a scoop of almond and floral ice cream, which was rich and creamy, and a glass of sherry that added a lovely depth of flavor. Despite the restaurant being a bit noisy, it didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of the meal. The restaurant's cozy and intimate atmosphere made for a memorable dining experience, and we look forward to returning. Highly recommend!

Deliciously Indulgent!! I have never been to the store front but I have been gifted treats! And I have to say, it was an absolute treat from start to finish! The Variety is impressive- Gluten Free and Vegan, whether you're into classic favorites or more adventurous flavors, there is something for everyone. Even though I have yet to be at the store front I do know the staff is friendly. Its super helpful for people with Dietary restrictions or preference. Overall, this is defiantly a place ill return to whenever I am craving something sweet! The quality, flavor variety, and friendly staff make it worth every bite. HIGHLY recommended !!!

I'm originally a midwesterner, so I'm partial to custard. But this ice cream is soooooo amazing, it's the only ice cream I ever want to eat. Flavors are unique and very distinct. Gluten free marked well. Rich and creamy and just so good. If you do nothing else on the shore, eat Island Creamery.

Delicious dairy free ice cream. Honestly the best I've had. I wasn't expecting it to taste so good. I'll definitely be going back. They don't have many dairy free options but I was hapoy to see it wasmt the typical just vanilla option most ice cream parlors offer. They have some seats inside as well as a couple tables outside to eat at. Please ty of choices, they even have gluten free Waffle cones on certain days of the week. My daughter got a shake made with dairy free ice cream and dairy free milk and it was DELICIOUS! The people in our group that ate dairy also loved their ice cream. So they just have incredible ice cream overall. Good prices as well. Be sure to check this place out!!

The staff were very welcoming and allowed samples of the flavors. They were able to make a cup of late night coffee. There are plenty of vegan, dairy free, and gluten-free flavors. The space is super clean and decorated well for the holidays. They had holiday plants for sale. Great space and will return again.

Really really good gelato that’s homemade and has vegan dairy free options! The vegan chocolate tasted like real chocolate ice cream! They also had gluten free cones which made the experience so much better! I got vegan pistachio which was really good too!

I found this local charming gem in grandin neighborhood in Roanoke recently as I have just moved here. It is the most adorable ice cream/café you could ever hope for. The ice cream is wonderful and the service is great and the food is comforting and charming and yummy . I have celiac and they have gluten-free bread and gluten-free cones and they take such care. I've been back three times since and it is my favorite grilled cheese of all times and again so charming inside with children coming and going and it's just such a cheerful place I can't recommend it enough and it's locally owned so let's support that and go get some fabulous ice cream this summer and some yummy food.

Wow. Great ice cream and sweets. Their food allergy allergen labeling is right out front on top of the ice creams. Easy to see what was gluten free “gf” as well as nut and other allergies. I got two unique flavors - one w caramel, the other with coffee. Both were great. Would definitely go back. It’s a short drive to the Marriott Courtyard and Hilton and short walk to the drill field.

Went there for the first time today! Great place! Classic ice cream Shoppe with a funky twist of flavors. Regular, Sorbets, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, and Sugar Free options. Top notice customer service allowing any flavors to be tasted with no rush at all to make a decision. Very accommodating and very knowledgeable. We’ll go back for sure!

We visited this cute little place while on vacation in the area. Absolutely phenomenal place if you love your ice cream. We had someone with a gluten sensitivity, and all their flavors are labeled for any allergies you might have. Not to mention how amazing the ice cream tasted. Our daughter is allergic to multiple food items, and Deluca Gelato was able to accommodate her with their wide array of non-dairy, nut free, gluten free, and egg-free options. Most of all, I appreciate their attention to avoid cross contamination. All dairy free and nut free options were separate from other options, there are dedicated scoops for each flavor, the server washed her hands and a new scoop (to be extra safe) before serving my daughter her ice cream. Also, all their ice cream is made in-house, and they have a schedule to make non-dairy, nut free ice cream first before their other flavors. In addition they said they double sanitized their ice cream making equipment after each batch is ran. Deluca Gelato, thank you for making it possible for my daughter to feel included in the fun of going to an ice cream shop and enjoying a treat every once in a while. You have found a new loyal customer for sure.

I love that they have vegan and gluten-free options (also oat milk)! But for the full sugar and gluten folk you can choose your own cookie and flavors. I had red velvet with cheese cake ice cream and a very pretty birthday cake themed selection. What a gem!

From out of town visiting a couple of my kids and just happened by this place. The ice cream choices were many and hard to pick from as they sounded so good. The family group tried a variety of choices and all were awesome. Friendly and helpful employees. One of my daughters has celiac and currently dairy free as well and they had choices that she was able to eat. That is awesome. Will definitely come here again when we visit again.

Very friendly customer service and a great selection of ice creams. A large majority of flavors are gluten free and they always have one flavor that is dairy free. They also offer gluten free cones! Love that even with food restrictions, you can eat a delicious desert. Place is always clean and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Was riding my bike on the Roanoke River Greenway and did a search for ice cream. This place popped up nearby so I gave it a try. I was greeted by very helpful staff explaining their all non-dairy menu. I had a scoop of pumpkin thai with gluten free waffle cone pieces on top and under that a scoop of peanut butter banana chip. I savored every spoonful. I didn't realize non-dairy ice cream could be this good!

My family and I go here often. We love trying all different flavors. The best ice cream around here!! The owners are always so nice to all of us. Another amazing thing is they are celiac friendly! I’m newly diagnosed so when I came in and explained the owner gave me flavors that had no wheat in them, cleaned his scoop, and opened up a new container of the flavor I wanted to make sure there was no cross contamination. We’ve been customers for awhile, I tried other flavors before my celiac diagnosis and every flavor I’ve tried has been incredible. I was so apprehensive after my celiac diagnosis to go anywhere but the owner definitely didn’t make me feel excluded from our family’s favorite treat out. Thank you!!

Stopping by for ice cream feels like a little taste of a Maine vacation from the interior decor to the picnic tables to the ice cream itself. The s'mores was the best ice cream I've eaten in years, and my husband, a chocolate chip cookie fanatic, was in heaven with a real ice cream sandwich.
