We had an amazing dinner here with my coeliac daughter. Very aware of cross contamination. Used fresh oil for our poppadoms and chicken pakora. Large selection of curries. Manager brought out all the GF portions.

im pretty new to the city, and i was craving authentic dosa. a friend had recommended i try east india company and i was so happy to find a spot that not only offers delicious dosa but brunch!! the buffet was amazing (the lamb curry alone stole my heart) there is clear indication on the buffet for which dishes contain gluten or dairy (great for my dairy intolerant/celiac mom who rarely finds places that she can trust to eat at without risk) the restaurant is beautifully decorated, nice and bright and the service was outstanding - our server rheo was very attentive and friendly and everyone greeted us with a smile. we loved the ambiance and will definitely go back!

We'd spent 4 days in Niagara, staying centrally, searching for good value, tasty food without success (& getting ripped off for mediocre mulch). . until we found Moksha! Jasmine was really friendly and professional, with good knowledge of gluten free options. . And the food was excellent. Best meal we had in Niagara by a long chalk, and up to the standards of the CN tower restaurant. Would highly recommend. Also great value, 3 of us with drinks (including beer): mains, poppadoms, rice and nans and (discretionary) 20%tip, $80. Wish we'd found you sooner! Many thanks 🙏 N.B. It's difficult to understand some of the negative reviews based on our experience and perhaps makes one question their integrity / motive.

Tabule has always been my favourite restaurant, my top choice for lunch in the neighborhood. The menu offers a variety of healthy options including gluten free items. The staff here are all pleasant and helpful especially Mina. I look forward to see her there every time.

Hubert and his wonderful team at Udupi palace catered my 40th birthday party with a delicious live-cooked dosa bar, with idlis, samosas and pakoras as well. My guests loved the food and a few of them commented to me on how warm and friendly the Udupi palace team was. When my sister asked if they had gluten free dosas, they went all the way back to the restaurant to get special batter for her. I also used Udupi palace to cater my dad's 60th birthday and we had the same experience. These folks will not only bring great food, they will enhance your party atmosphere with their presence. I eat at Udupi places Gerrard Street restaurant at least once a month and I look forward to being a customer for many more years. Thank you!

Had a lovely vegan and gluten free dinner with friends. Love the new dining room on Edinburgh road. They were even able to make the paneer dishes with tofu to make everything vegan!!! Highly recommend.

My partner and I tried masala trail for the first time and both of us are gluten free in our reservation they let us know ahead of time they had many options, and they did! We were very happy with the selection and the food was fantastic. Our server Moe was very helpful! We will be returning

What a gem! As someone who eats gluten-free and dairy (due to illness( it’s rare to find a place that delivers on both! and this restaurant exceeded all expectations. The curry was absolutely amazing: rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. You can tell everything is made with care and fresh ingredients. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. Can’t wait to go back!

Benares holds a special place in our hearts. It was the very first restaurant we ordered from on our first night living in Toronto, and now three years later it’s the place we chose for our last dinner in the city before moving to the suburbs. From day one, it’s been consistently delicious, comforting, and memorable. We’ve ordered from Benares dozens of times and it has never disappointed. The portions are generous, the flavours are great, and the food is always satisfying and usually leaving us with enough for lunch the next day. Our go-to dishes are the butter chicken, chana masala, aloo gobi, pulao rice, pakoras with tamarind sauce, and garlic naan. They’re also incredibly accommodating of dietary needs - always happy to make my vegetarian dishes gluten free and vegan. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and fast whether we’re ordering takeout or dining in (which we’ve also loved doing on occasion for the warm and cozy atmosphere). On our final night in Toronto, Aneesh made our order extra special and added a thoughtful complimentary addition that wasn’t technically on the menu - per my request! Benares has been part of our Toronto story from beginning to end, and we’ll miss it dearly. If you’re in the area and haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favour and order!

!!!Try the Onion Bhaji’s!!! Tasty Food and Kind People. Definitely my go too Canadian Indian Restaurant. I have been ordering food from here for 10+ years and I’ve never had any inconveniences or issues. The atmosphere when you walk in is warm and inviting. Not to mention it smells amazing the moment you walk in. The man at the counter/on the phone is always very nice and patient, he even takes the time to explain the menu items if need be. The restaurant/itself is clean and well kept. The food is consistently delicious, the sauces are always so creamy and everything is so deep/rich in flavour. They also have many options for dietary restricted, my spouse has celiac disease and has many options. You can tell they do not rush their food or cut corners in the kitchen. I give a solid 10/10 simply because they have been in business for 13 years and they have been consistent with their food, portion sizes and customer service since day one.

Went in tired and exhausted after a day trip to Tobermory and came out powered up and super satisfied . My wife and I were glad we came to this place as the food was not only delicious , but felt home like. We had home made Dal makhani , Kadai paneer and gluten free roti . Also the nepalese chai was very good too. The place had a very pleasant ambience . Would definitely return again if an opportunity arises. Oh yes, even the gulab jamun was delicious.

We had an amazing experience at khau gully for an annual client get-together. The service was fantastic — super attentive and friendly — and the team went out of their way to make the last night special, and even tailored dishes to accommodate a few guests with food preferences and restrictions (gluten free, dairy free, etc.) while still being flawless with the execution. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. You could really tell how much care went into the food and service. Our clients were extremely impressed and everyone can’t wait to return. Highly recommend.

Second time here by to celebrate a family member’s birthday. Was as good or even better than first time and the first time was excellent!!! Liam our waiter ( both times) made our lunch fabulous. He gave us all recommendations and helped order for the table of 6 plus ensured one guest who is celiac, could enjoy all her food too as well kept the ‘heat’ to a minimum for our tastebuds. Food is excellent here, plentiful and so flavourful however Liam our waiter made all the difference.

The star of the menu here is the dosa—a gluten-free, crispy crepe made from lentils and rice that you don’t see nearly enough at Canadian Indian restaurants. Portions are generous and everything we tried was delicious, so definitely come hungry. Our server, Anu, was attentive and incredibly sweet. Highly recommend this spot.

First, we were seated promptly at 7 PM, but the evening quickly took a nosedive when the server informed us that they were *already* out of all appetizers. At 7 PM. For a restaurant that boasts an extensive menu, this was beyond disappointing and set the tone for what was to come. Things only got worse when we noticed that items clearly labeled as "gluten-free" on the menu were, in fact, *not gluten-free.* This is not just misleading—it’s dangerous. As someone who has a serious sensitivity to gluten, I trusted the menu and paid the price. I ended up getting severely sick after the meal, ruining not only my night but several days afterward. Adding insult to injury, they sneakily included a tip in the bill due to our party size (6 people) but failed to disclose this when presenting the check. They then tricked one of my friends into tipping a second time on top of the already included gratuity. This lack of transparency felt deceptive and unprofessional.
