Best Italian restaurant in Fitzroy . Homemade Pastas are to die for. We tried the wildboar and garlic prawns and we loved it! Plenty of options for Vegan, vegetarians and gluten free. My partner and I visited a couple of weeks ago for dinner, and we were thoroughly impressed! We started with the Dahi Bhalla, and for mains, we ordered the coconut prawn curry (for me), chicken tikka masala, plain rice, and naan. The food was sensational—each dish was incredibly fresh, with the prawns being especially large and the meat of top quality. It’s clear they don’t scrimp on quality; the dishes were not greasy and felt thoughtfully prepared. As someone with multiple food intolerances (mainly to dairy and gluten), I often find dining out challenging. However, the staff here were exceptionally accommodating. The person who took our order was very knowledgeable about dietary needs and recommended dishes accordingly. My only suggestion would be to make the menu descriptions a bit more detailed. For example, the coconut prawn curry included veggies like peas, corn, and broccoli, which I’m intolerant to. When I provided this feedback, the lady at the counter was wonderfully understanding and even offered to take the item off our bill—a gesture that made us feel valued and appreciated. Highly recommend this restaurant for both the quality of food and the attentive, customer-focused service. We'll definitely be back!

I took Falafel and roasted 🍠🎃, and a red dipping (dont know the name) and all of them were fresh and delicious .. I really liked their food as well the service. But I have a concern about the falafel, is it Gluten-free? I NEED TO KNOW Thanks guys

Good burgers with a surprisingly authentic 50s American diner feel. Was nice to see a modern touch too with gluten-free buns. Would also recommend their shakes - the vanilla shake with the Dannylicious burger and chips is a pretty delicious combo.

Excellent Italian style venue and pizzas. Delicious with nice gluten free options. Good family option with kids and they provided colouring in pages which kept the kids entertained 👍🙏

We had a really great time at OTP for a dinner date. We got the octopus, burrata, salami, pumpkin waffle, and steak. All dishes were delicious and felt reasonably priced. We don't drink alcohol so just enjoyed the food. We would be really excited to go back again and try new dishes as they seem to change the menu frequently. My only suggestion or room for improvement would be clear communication regarding gluten free items/coeliac accommodating. I've seen lots of things online about them being completely gluten free but when I asked the staff they told me to avoid various dishes.

Far enough from the city and main thoroughfares to avoid traffic noise. Plenty of bike parking, reasonable prices, excellent food, and friendly service makes for a great spot. They also have a make-your-own-plate option which is perfect for keto, low FODMAP, gluten free, dairy free, etc. Also dog friendly. 10/10

Lovely place to grab morning coffee & snack or lunch. No where to sit(…yet as it seems under construction as of Apr.2024), but you can take everything to Carlton Gardens and enjoy! Many of vegan, vegetarian, & gluten free options. I haven’t tried the coffee nor smoothies yet, but the cauliflower halloumi sandwich & the pumpkin sandwich were so yum! Also, the cinnamon puff was to die for. Expect around a 5min wait if you want the sandwiches warmed up (highly recommended to heat ‘em up because they get crispy). Highly recommend this place for a morning snack or a lunch! Many great options for a variety of people.

Absolutely love it every time I go to Piccantes. Best service, amazing coffee and food. Great gluten free options and they clearly take precautions in the kitchen as I am celiac and have never had a reaction.
