TLDR; regular pancakes and waffles were good, gluten friendly pancake tasted fine, scrambled eggs and potatoes were undercooked. Pros: waitress was friendly and accommodating, my family liked their pancakes and waffles, and they have a few gluten friendly options. Cons: One order of eggs were flash fried on the outside and liquid on the inside, potatoes (both hash and cube) were undercooked. The hash browns were still hard strands on the inside, but burnt on the outside as well. The GF pancake and all the other food tasted good though! Unfortunately, I began feeling sick after. I’m unsure if it was the few bites I had of the undercooked eggs/potatoes or if the gluten friendly pancake was contaminated. Total cost of what we ordered for four people, including tip and beverages: $90

If you are healthy, and don't have a food allergy, then Sonny's is not a bad place to eat. But if you suffer from an allergy, I would not recommend eating here, due to improper handling of the food, and cross contamination. We went to Sonny's because they list many gluten free options, and my wife has celiac disease. We first made sure our waitress understood the severity of the issue, and was reassured that she had spoken to the cook, and as long as my wife ordered off the gluten free menu, everything would be alright. Well, her plate first arrived contaminated with french fries cooked in common oil, (oil used for battered and breaded items, not dedicated "gluten free") alongside her pork and chicken. (She ordered a baked potato, not french fries in the first place) The waitress took the plate to the kitchen where I'm very sure they repurposed the meat that was already compromised by the fries, and then delivered the "fixed plate" One of the side items my wife ordered from the gluten free menu was the baked beans. As she was eating the beans, she uncovered pieces of mac-n-cheese mixed on the bottom. The mac-n-cheese contains wheat, which is the gluten. When I asked for the manager to show them, one of the male employees came to our table, and as I was explaining that my wife would now be sick, he asked if she needed an ambulance in a loud animated voice that was both embarrassing, and facetious. The business was moderately busy, so it drew much attention. We paid our check and came home with my wife running to the bathroom to get sick. She is now in "Gluten Hell" as she puts it. From experience I know she will be sick for a couple of days, headache, burning, bloating, diarrhea, and vomit. This because Sonny's does not educate their employees and does not practice safe methodical handling of the food they offer as gluten free. If you have an allergy, this is not the place to go eat. There is a huge probability that you will get sick due to Sonny's lackluster approach to food allergy protocols. Please share this with anyone you may know who suffers from a food allergy, in hopes of averting someone else getting sick. I am a local guide, and only write honest reviews.

Sad day! Love Firehouse and the people there have been great. However, our local shop has stopped carrying gluten free rolls. 5 in my family have Celiac disease so GF is a necessity, not a choice. Firehouse had the best GF rolls according to my crew, sucks to see them go! One less place that was an "easy button." This also means no Firehouse for the rest of us (at least in Kingsland), so doubly bad. Will edit review if they ever return. ETA: the GF buns are frequently back! Ordering through the app will reflect availability. My crew is happy.

👽 Alien treats is the best ever! I am celiac and they always make me feel included when my family goes in! They double and thoroughly clean everything to reduce the risk of cross contamination. They are the friendliest and make every feel like family! My girls love going in and snagging a milkshake and then playing games for a bit. If you want to enjoy the best milkshake ever, hang out with your friends and family and feel welcome then you better get in your car and head over to the shop now! p.s. the trix cereal milkshake is the best ever!

Very disappointed! My wife has a gluten free requirement and brought her own bread as you do not have an option. They refused to toast her bread. Never had this problem at other locations or. Cracker Barrel. Talk about NO accommodation 👎

Amazing place and so glad we finally stopped in! Friendly people, even the other customers hanging out. Family owned, wonderfully thoughtful owner. My son ordered a breakfast sandwich and it did take a bit, but we didn’t even notice because we already had our drinks and were enjoying the environment. When the sandwich was done, she brought it to us and chatted a bit. It had taken so long because she had a gluten-free order before ours and she makes a point to thoroughly clean and change items out before preparing the special dietary need orders. So incredibly thoughtful & appreciated. Dont have that strict a need myself, but always good to know where I can suggest people go who do have that need. Our drinks were delicious (Camden punch & boujee) my son loved the sandwich and said it was very filling (carnivore). We loved that all the seating was outdoors and so shady. There was a big jenga block game in a nearby tub, and the owner said on Saturdays she gets out a bunch of other games too. She noted she has a gluten free party she’s cooking for this weekend, and has a separate staff to help with that so regular customers don’t suffer way longer wait times. Definitely worth the stop and we are definitely returning soon!

They gave me 2 full slices of pure fat, the rest of the brisket was very dry, the ribs were dry, they gave me the wrong sauce with gluten, the cobbler was ice cold. Very upset to spend $81 plus tip on overcooked, dry meat. Will go somewhere else next time.
