We just celebrated my sisters birthday and Jamie, our server, managed our large table with efficiency and top notch service. I have a gluten intolerance and everyone was so conscientious that I felt totally comfortable. I had the Mediterranean chicken with the accompanying GF cookie and ice cream and it was delicious. Thanks, BJ's!

I love Aladdin’s. They have so many gluten free, vegetarian, and vegetarian options. The waitress was very accommodating to my gluten allergy and the baba ganoush was so good. The feel is family owned and local!
With a diverse menu that always features new dishes, this spot is a must-visit for food lovers looking for something special near Ross Park Mall.

The food was very good, as it always is. I don't eat from the buffet because I like the flavors of Indian food but I cannot have spicy (I have GI issues), so I order from the menu at a level 1 heat. They seemed offended that I wanted to order from the menu. I don't know why, it's definitely more expensive than the buffet. My son and his wife ordered the buffet.
I also brought wine because they have a very limited wine menu. When they first installed the bar years ago they would still let you bring your own wine for the corkage fee. That is no more and they seemed offended that I asked. I honestly didn't know their policy had changed. So, that was fine, I left my wine in the bag I ordered wine from their menu.
After my dinner came out I asked for some raita. That was met with what I would characterize as distain.
Finally, since it was my son's birthday and his wife has gluten sensitivities I had brought some french macarons and one small birthday candle so that we could quietly sing. His wife and I literally whisper sang because we were becoming increasingly aware that the staff were giving us the side eye. After that I asked for a check and some boxes for my leftovers (again, NOT FROM THE BUFFET) and they seemed taken aback. But I had ordered the lamb tikka masala, and a garlic nan, and a vegetable korma all from the menu. It was a lot of food and I wasn't about to throw it all away.
Food was still amazing but by the time I paid the check we felt very uncomfortable being there. My son said he felt like everyone was staring at us.
I have been going to this restaurant for decades and have never been made to feel uncomfortable until last night. It's a shame that the service has changed so might that we didn't feel welcome. And it's not like the place was packed. We went at 7:00 and there were several open tables throughout the seating area. Not sure what was going on that evening but I'll have to think twice about going back.
Also, they now provide Styrofoam for leftovers, not the foil containers they used to use. That is like a throw back in time. Fast food places don't even use Styrofoam any more. The service has certainly changed since the new ownership. For shame.

Amazing place for breakfast. As a person with Celiac disease it's hard to find quality breakfast locations but here they had it all. They restored my desire for breakfast foods. They were also helpful and let me know which items could be accommodated to be made gluten free and those that could not. Helpful staff, delicious food.

Certainly! Here’s a sample review for Mad Mex:
---
Mad Mex is an absolute gem in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Every visit is a delightful experience filled with vibrant flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a fantastic variety of Mexican-inspired dishes, with everything from hearty burritos to fresh and flavorful tacos.
What truly sets Mad Mex apart is the quality of their ingredients and the creativity of their dishes. The Big Azz Margarita is a must-try, and their guacamole is always fresh and delicious. Whether you're a fan of spicy food or prefer something milder, there’s something for everyone.
The service is consistently friendly and efficient, making you feel right at home. The lively and eclectic decor adds to the fun, casual dining experience. Mad Mex also caters well to dietary preferences, with plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Overall, Mad Mex is a go-to spot for anyone looking to enjoy a great meal in a lively, fun environment. Highly recommended.

I was recently diagnosed with celiac disease. My friend and I sat at the bar and the lady bartenders were amazing. They were genuinely caring and attentive and I felt safe ordering off of the menu because I was well informed. An overall great experience.

Was great food! This was the first fast food restaurant since finding out I was allergic to gluten actually have accommodations for me. Didnt think I could ever eat normally somewhere again and I felt normal. Wonderful staff very nice and kind. Only thing I would say is go during an odd hour we had to circle the parking lot 3 times for a spot lol

Wonderful experience here! Special shout out to Andrew, who made my salad. He took great care navigating gluten free items, grabbing fresh ingredients that were more prone to cross contact. He checked the spice mix on the chicken to make sure it was safe for me. I really appreciate his thoroughness. The salad was spectacular. It is mixed in a larger bowl before being squished into a container with so much salad it’s bursting.
I highly recommend the build your own, as you get as many side toppings as you want. The fries are delicious and crispy, for only $3, might as well grab an order. I would say they could use a container instead of just the bag, but it works.
Thank you Andrew for an amazing experience! We will be back.

Honestly, one of the best Mexican restaurants around. The staff understood the celiacs concerns we had and made recommendations accordingly. Food was prompt and delicious and GF. Definitely plan to make the trip for another round of grub!!
What a gem of a Thai restaurant here North of Pittsburgh. Definitely the best Thai restaurant in my humble opinion. The waitstaff are attentive and will change the menu selection to meet your dietary needs. My favorite is Bangkok street noodles, my wife gets pad tai and it was fresh, with the right amount of spices and flavor. They make it gluten free for her by customizing it. The drinks were always kept topped up and we were asked several times during the meal if we needed anything else. I got extra hot sauce and extra garlic with a smile.
You have to try this place for sure. It is so good and close to downtown and the heart of North Hills.

We recently enjoyed a work holiday dinner here in a private room. Service was great, attentive, efficient, and communicated well with several of our party making dietary needs and other requests. The food was as tasty as I remember from years ago at another location. I ordered gluten free and emphasized the severity of my gluten intolerance and I'm pleased to report I had no issues.
A beloved local gem, constantly receiving praises for its superior subs and unbeatable customer service!

Ordered 3 subs. Two were correct but when I ordered gluten free bread for the third sandwich, they gave me no bread and put it in a bowl. Was not what I ordered
The food here is incredible. Chef Jeremy is wonderful and incredably accomidating. He made gluten free, soy free, vegan selections for my wife and they were great. Def give them a try.

I have celiac disease, so I’m allergic to wheat. Very difficult for me to find pizza that’s safe to eat. FOOD ALLERGIES SUCK. The gentleman that took my order was courteous and disclosed the risk of cross contamination. He went above and beyond to prepare my food as safely as possible, limiting cross contamination by using the back oven. I really appreciated his kindness, and the pizza was the best gluten free pizza I’ve had in Pittsburgh area! I will definitely be back!
Dependable neighborhood restaurant. The pizzas and subs are great. Love the gluten free buffalo chicken pizza. Almost always ready within 20-30 minutes as well. Definitely recommend.

We recently discovered the Potato Bar at Ross Park Mall's food court, and it was a delightful experience! My wife, who is Gluten Free appreciated the manager's transparency about cross-contamination risks - baked potato dishes and sides are all fine. Fries and chicken are not safe, and we could see that the fryer area was innl back corner away from the potato section. Everything is visible and prepared right in front of you. We felt safe ordering a baked potato, which was incredibly smooth inside—almost like creamy mashed potatoes! The toppings were generous, with hearty bacon and other adds gave it great flavor. With limited GF options in the food court, this spot was a pleasant surprise. Worth the visit for a quick bite when at the mall.
We have tried many Mexican restaurants around Pittsburgh and this remains our favorite. The service is always friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is very nice with all the decoration. The best is the food options and the taste. We like the fresh warm complementary nachos, tasty salsa and we always request the spicy tomatillo hot salsa.
My wife has a gluten allergy and so goes with the carnitas dinner which comes with rice and beans and a salad with guacamole.
My son gets the chicken fajitas, which come out sizzling hot and has rice, beans and fixings. Both these dinners are large and 3 of share both meals and it is more then enough.
We aLways have a good experience here, well worth the money with great tasting Mexican food. It is a good location on McKnight Road close to the Downtown end. Parking is easy and they can handle many sized parties. We even had 15 people one time and they accommodated us with no issues.
Try this place, it is really really good.
I was looking for a gluten free snack. I was led to a gluten-free package of cheese, crackers and fruit. I did not eat the crackers but gave them away to another diner. In addition I had a cafe Americano to drink which was lovely. The waitstaff there was wonderful in helping me choose something. Most Starbucks do not have anything gluten free except for a banana and a rice dream bar. I'll be back.
The food was fresh, the staff was pleasant and the new fresh mozzarella cheese made my day. I had salad as I am gluten free and cannot eat the bread or the wraps they offer.
Great ice cream spot with a quirky line situation that can leave you confused but it's worth the delicious treat!

Excellent tasting ice cream with FREE gluten free cones available. I have been there several times and I can still not figure out where the line starts and how it is formed which has led to some obvious frustration with the customers.
I found first watch where I used to live, and was so excited one is nearby to my new home. We've been here at least a dozen times. Always fast and friendly service, even when it looks like a long wait, it never is. I've tried a bunch of things and you can't go wrong. Coffee is great. You can get gluten free toast for no extra charge. Very kid friendly place. My kids meals came out 10 minutes after our adult meals once and our entire meal was free- which I thought was amazing. That is understanding your customers. I couldn't come up with something negative if I tried
Had a gluten free pizza from Lupi's Famous Pizza today and it was wonderful!!!!! It was a buffalo chicken and it was just the right amount of spicy with the perfect amount of cheese and a crust that is the best gluten-free crust I have ever had. It is also a very nice size 8 cut. A few days ago, I ordered from another pizza shop and the only gluten-free pizza they had was a small 6 cut. I'm so happy that I can get excited to eat pizza again! Thank you Lupi's Famous Pizza. PS, my daughter said to also mention that the breadsticks were terrific.
This is my wife and I's favorite place to eat. Excellent beer selection, gluten free options, good food and atmosphere, friendly staff and ownership, etc.

We went there multiple times and every time it was great! The food is delicious and fresh, and the staff is super attentive and accomodating. It is also one of the few places in Pittsburgh that offers gluten-free options and customization.
Excellent food. Very friendly and helpful service! Everything tasted amazing. Corn tortillas were gluten free and delicious. Would highly recommend! Will definitely come back!
