As a gluten-free diner I was not impressed. Thought the food was okay, overpriced, and gluten-free labels were not completely accurate. My husband and I ate at Hearth and Hill on Monday 4/1 because of the impressive ratings on the app "Find Me Gluten Free." . We ordered the Elote Queso Dip as one of our appetizers. We confirmed with our server that all the items I ordered were gluten-free. When another server brought out our appetizers, I asked her to confirm for me that the chips were made in the gluten-free fryer. I was shocked when she came back and told me they were not. I'm so glad I waited to start eating til she came back. This could have ruined our entire vacation because we ate here on our first day in Park City. Even though it may not seem significant, but that small bit of cross-contamination can make me sick for 2 days. The manager was sympathetic and came over as well to apologize and offer a side of the beer-battered cauliflower to see if it would go with the dip. It didn't at all, but I did at least appreciate the offer. But unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy the dip because it didn't work with the cauliflower and we accidentally dropped part of a chip in the dip so I could no longer eat it. I was hoping the staff would see that we barely touched it and take it off the bill, but they didn't and I was in no mood to give anyone a hard time about it by the end of the night. Truffle Mac Gluten-Free was undercooked and crunchy in some bites. Re-fuel salad had way too much going on (beets, apples, sweet potato, and rice). To me, this restaurant was not worth the $20 Uber from downtown Park City.

Immediately upon entering--at peak weekend dinner--I was warmly greeted. When I asked to place a takeout order, the staff inquired if I already knew what dishes I wanted or if I had questions. It was such a nice way of phrasing to assess the customer & meet them where they're at. I welcomed some vegan suggestions from the wide array offered & labeled, and I was not steered wrong. My partner is also gluten-light so the clear menu labeling was much appreciated. We are SO FULL and happy to have some tasty leftovers to look forward to as well. We got stew peas aka red beans; jerk tofu; roti curry; plantains; sauteed kale; rainbow pone. Use the menu on their website which is more current and has newer options.

We didn't stay at the Red Pine Lodge but we did eat here and rested during our ski days. The food was pretty good. Expensive because of location but had some good selections. I was very surprised at all the food for people with gluten and other allergies. My friend is gluten sensitive and they had plenty to choose from. Very nice for a location venue. Lunch is cafeteria style. Very busy on Thursday and Friday but many people were very generous and had no problem sharing a table. We were only here on the week days so I'm sure it's much busier on the weekend. They have free water which is very helpful while hitting the slopes in Utah.
