A wonderful restaurant, shop, and community center in the remote community of Floyd, VA. We always seem to find ourselves in Downtown Floyd outside the operating hours of most of the shops, but Floyd Country Store manages to make the stop worthwhile all on its own. All the food is delicious, well prepared, and incorporates local ingredients, from the soups and salads to the entrees and desserts. Even better, the service is good, making sure you can order and receive your food in a reasonable amount of time. We were delighted to find Gluten Free options in the desserts. There's a distinct feel of the Floyd community when you visit this store. Locals are visiting and hanging out. One time we went and there was live bluegrass, and another there was a folk dance group class going on. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit, but if you're passing through Floyd or just want to experience something different I highly recommend visiting Floyd Country Store!

A great overall experience! So many choices, so few days in the week! Get yourself anything from decaf to organic drips, Expresso, specialty coffees and other beverages. And all the coffee is fresh roasted on site. And save some room for the baked goods....they have yummy gluten sensitive too! The baristas are truly skilled and delightful day brighteners. And the place is sparkling clean! This place is a must visit if you are visiting the area. Take home some of their delightful offerings: syrups, amazing coffee beans, a funky chicken sweatshirt...so many choices!

Fabulous place! Excellent pizza! Superb gluten free menu! Great music venue! Wonderful staff! I can't say enough about how sweet this place is. Check the website regularly for current music events. Well worth the drive. Well worth a detour if you're traveling.

I got the gluten free bacon burger with sweet potato fries and it was SO SO good. Gluten free bun was soft and not dried out, burger had lots of flavor. First time here and it won’t be my last. So happy to have another delicious place locally to eat.

This place did not disappoint one bit!! Wow! Yummy food, and extremely wonderful service. I’m gluten free so I had the bacon cheddar burger on gluten free bun. One of THE tastiest burgers I’ve ever had. The sweet potato waffle fries were delicious too, they came out a little cold but still very good. My mom got the steak sandwich, she said it was delicious too! Can’t wait to go back & try the jerk chicken and other delicious things that are gluten free. Still come here for the delicious food and bring out of visitors too! Today we had the bacon cheddar burger and the chicken salad sandwich.

This place was new went I went, but wonderful. A younger girl was my waitress, and she was extremely kind. I have Alpha Gal, so eating out is difficult, and honestly the anxiety is the worst part due to anaphylaxis. She was SO comforting to me, and made wonderful recommendations as to safe items for me to eat. She definitely helped to lower my anxiety. The good was great as well, but her customer service was what sold me. 👏 the menu also offered gluten free options for those looking to avoid it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

You’re looking at the photos - and the great food photos don’t match the exterior or interior decor. Believe your stomach - the food is as good as it looks. If you visit Floyd often - for the music, the laid back atmosphere, the proximity to Virginia Tech football - then this unassuming diner needs to be on your list. It’s open! The food is great. They know about specialty diets - the ribs are gluten free (“gf”), and the menu is great. One side is the diner in a sprawling, open, legacy decor, with hints of the restaurants growth. The other side is the pool hall. Long list of beers. Coworkers had wine. Reuben sandwich looked amazing. Four of us were staying at the Floyd Hotel, it was a 10 minute drive and well worth it. We will definitely be back.
