I am a regular Korean BBQ eater. Maybe it's not entirely fair to compare Japanese BBQ to Korean, I know different countries entirely, however, being in Northern Virginia it is hard not to compare a similar concept to KBBQ. The atmosphere is great, the meat was delicious, the sides lacked any flavor because they were just regular veggies (corn, not cheese corn, zucchini and cremini mushrooms), it came with a salad and miso that were flavorful. We ordered the value meal for 2 people with one cocktail $14 and a diet coke the total was $106, after tipping 22% I spent $130.. The meat was perfectly marinated and the quality was high, however the portions were insanely SMALL. I left hungry and wishing I went to Kbbq instead but it was an experience. I also noticed all the marinades and sauces were sweet- the sauces on the table were Ponzu, Sweet Soy Sauce and a Spicy Sauce that was also sweet, I found myself wishing for a more savory sauce to balance out all the sweetness. Our server was super friendly and attentive. For example I had taken the lemon from my gfs cocktail and put it in my diet coke, our server noticed and without me saying anything brought me a refill diet coke with a lemon (this didn't go unnoticed!). I personally don't see myself coming back but glad I gave it a try. Oh and I will add that everything we ordered was gluten and dairy free naturally so that was a huge plus.

This is my go to place for dine in or carry outs when I am in town. I love their creative drinks, sushi, pho, Vietnamese noodle bowls and Spicy Korean Ramen noodles. Very clean tables, I've sat at the outside tables, inside tables, and at the bar many times. Love all the creative original paintings on the walls. Very friendly staff and attentive. Special shout out to: Prasert and Jada. We always had a wonderful dining experience each time we are dining here because there is always something new to try and also many options for everyone's cravings or palates. SO hard to save room for desserts but try to save room because their desserts are yummy. Lots of gluten free options on the menu.

We tried this place out last week. We both have gluten allergies (celiac for me, intolerance for him) so I was drawn in by the chance to eat happily without cross contamination. The meats were great options and I think I ate my weight in shrimp! There were only a few seasonings or sauces that were gluten free so I found myself using a ton of pineapple to season the meats and add a little extra flavor. The server was AWESOME to help us figure out what we really liked And brought us a listing of all ingredients to keep us safe. Lack of GF choices aside, my teen loved having 2 hours to eat everything he could! It seems like a steep cost at first, but I couldn't fill him with $30 worth of fast food or pizza so I was really pleased with that aspect. Overall, we might go back. Regular eaters will love the options, but the lack of (non-spicy) GF options may keep me from going back. (There's a sign preventing outside food/drink on the grills for health reasons)

FANTASTIC! This place doesn't perform culinary arts. Globowl is practicing culinary alchemy. With the marriage of fresh ingredients, perfect seasoning, and amazing chef skills, my taste buds were temporarily suspended in the stratosphere. I have never experienced anything like this. The only hard part was trying to decide on one dish from the many tempting choices on the menu. Everything sounds incredible. The staff was friendly and attentive. Lauren, the owner and chef is a wonderfully interesting character. She comes from a background of international living as well as an eclectic blend of American experiences. Lexington is lucky that she decided to open her restaurant there. I've noticed on other reviews, here and on other sites ,that people are mentioning "proteins". There are some "add ons" available that would be more aptly called sides. Most of the dishes contain protein rich ingredients. Mushrooms contain 9 amino acids making them a complete protein. Quinoa is a complete protein. Most selections have legumes of some sort. Again, these are plant proteins. Cheese has protein. I see the selections as well thought out as far as being nutritionally balanced and then created with the flavor being very important. My wife and I had a zen bowl and we WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! It's very rare that I eat someone else's cooking and don't find the need to add a little salt or pepper or find the dish too salty. The zen bowl was quite literally PERFECT. Can't wait to be in the area again so that we can experience another sensational selection. If you are any where near Lexington, the food is worth the extra drive. You don't need to be a vegan, vegetarian, gluten free or have any diet restriction to appreciate the amazing creations this place is producing. Believe me, you won't be disappointed and when you're done eating, your body will thank you for the delicious nutritious experience. Wish all of you the best at Globowl. THANK YOU!

Their toasts are really good. I think they promote K corn dog but toast should be their primary signature dish. The toast bread is thick, moist and the eggs go so well with the meat toppings. The portion and quality are great and affordable/reasonable. Classic corn dog was ok but the sausage wasnt impressive. I took one star off for the sausage. I heard they sell gluten free chewy donut too. I want to try that soon.

Very cute hot pot place! The food was all very good. The individual hot pot bowls are great and the veggie broth is gluten free. They also have a sauce bar where the gluten free options are marked so you can spice up the broth if you want. The brisket meat was delicious and the service was excellent. The music was a bit too loud, hard to talk over. If you’re hard of hearing I wouldn’t recommend it.

The manager Jee Hee ( spelling?) Is incredible. She is funny, kind and bent over backwards to take care of my gluten allergy. She had a trainee that was only his second and even he was having a good time through her guidance. We will be back!!

Amazing new restaurant that combines hot pot and korean barbeque! We went the first month it opened. Athena was our waitress and she was amazing! Very accomodating and we were new to the experience. She also took care of changing out grill plates to keep me gluten free and safe. Highly recommend this new place to anyone who loves Korean. Also their hot pot is cheaper than a local competitor that offers all you can eat too.

I ordered the japchae, and it was legit and delicious! The noodles were thicker than I'd expect, so probably not the gluten-free glass (thinner) noodles you'd normally get in Korea, but it was pleasant and easy to eat nonetheless. Could have had more depth (sweetness was the most pronounced flavor), but the textures were great and the portions even greater. Almost more than I wanted actually, but great for the price! Satisfied my longing for authentic japchae. I ate in the restaurant, but they still gave me a plastic container and bag. I'd have loved to eat with real dishes, but I understand they probably don't want to deal with dishes. Maybe paper dishes without the bag next time? Still a clean and peaceful setting. Decent Korean radio music going in it too.

This BonChon caters to gluten sensitive diets! They use gluten-free soy marinades and offer to fry chicken without a breading for those with a gluten sensitivity. Their japchae has good flavor, but the noodles were a little overdone. Overall great experience!

I have dined at Meat Project several times. I have a severe gluten allergy, and each time I'm there, not only do the servers remember me, but they also ensure that the foods and sauces I eat are gluten free and are never cross contaminated. Each dining experience has been better than the last. I really love this place and the food is brilliant!

This was my first time eating here, so this is based on my first impression. I ordered to go. I had a poke bowl with a salad base and tuna and salmon as my proteins. I pretty much got all the other toppings and got the ginger dressing on it. It was fresh and delicious. I felt like I ate a very healthy meal. The toppings were plentiful and the flavors all jived well--the mango was a surprise and really added another layer of flavor. I would definitely eat there again and would recommend it! The only suggestion I would have for the restaurant is to include what items are gluten-free and whether or not I could get rice noodles instead of wheat-based noodles in the Ramen.
